Simba Nagpal talks about his journey with Naagin 6; says, “I realized I had anger issues”
Actor Simba Nagpal, aka Shakti from the hit show Naagin 6, has always been vocal about his passion for acting. During a recent interview with BT, the actor opened up about the complex character of Shakti in Naagin 6, and how it even took a toll on him.
Simba shared, “Rishabh was different but it was easy to play. Par Shakti jo tha woh toh maine kabhi socha bhi nahi tha ki mujhe aisa character itne jaldi perform karne ko milega aur jab maine kiya toh definitely maine apne aap ko poora samarpit kar diya uss character ke liye” (Rishabh was different but it was easy to play but Shakti, I never thought that I would get a chance to play a complex character like that so early in my career. When I got the chance I gave my everything to do justice to the character).
The actor also revealed that at one point, he felt that his character was overpowering his real self. He said, “After a month of playing Shakti, I realized I was facing anger issues. It did take a toll on me to some extent.”
When asked how he came out of the character, he said, “Ek baar jab woh character khatam ho gaya toh I used to go out with my friends and family and spend time in the gym, playing football, and guitar, so that helped. But there is always gonna be this Shakti in me. It’s always going to be there.”
Currently, Simba is taking his time to select his next project. The actor wishes to explore films and OTT platforms.
