Singer Sona Mohapatra slams TV channels and their executives after Sajid Khan enters Bigg Boss 16; calls them “depraved, sad lot”
Several netizens are upset and have disapproved of filmmaker Sajid Khan being a part of Bigg Boss 16. For the unversed, Sajid was accused by 8 women under the #MeToo movement.
Now singer Sona Mohapatra has also expressed her disappointment with Sajid’s participation in the show. The popular singer slammed the ‘Indian TV channels and its executives’ for being a ‘depraved & sad lot’.
Quoting a tweet about Sajid’s gross s*xual misconduct, Sona wrote, “This is #SajidKhan, now on a reality TV show. 👇🏾Then there is #AnuMalik judging a music reality show on TV, for children no less. #KailashKher? Celebrity Judge on TV. ALL called out by many many women in @IndiaMeToo. Indian TV channels, executives are indeed a depraved & sad lot.”
She added, “I’m sure these ‘marketing, creative’ teams will be chuckling ghoulishly for the free publicity, PR their depraved choices are giving them? Some will get promotions like in the case of Indian Idol in the past. Sleep well at night dancing on the graves of your conscience.”
Meanwhile, Kashmira Shah and Shehnaaz Gill who have supported Sajid Khan have also been receiving heat from the netizens.
During the premiere episode Sajid was asked why he decided to join Bigg Boss 16, Sajid said, “I did not have much work, I have been at home for the past four years. So, when they (the channel) called me up, I decided I should come here and maybe learn something about myself…I have seen many ups and downs in my life and been very low in the past four years.”
