Actress Sneha Wagh concludes her stint in the TV show “Neerja – Ek Nayi Pehchaan,” expressing a touch of sadness about the abrupt end of her character’s track. She acknowledges the dynamics of television, where certain decisions are made to enhance viewership.
Reflecting on her portrayal of Pratima, Sneha shares, “Playing Pratima was challenging. Without firsthand knowledge of the lives led by women in the Sonagachi area of Kolkata, we had to embody these roles. My character demanded the portrayal of strong emotions, experiencing both love and attachment for my child. It wasn’t an easy feat, and now that my role has concluded, there’s a sense of sadness. The track was initially intended to last longer, but the decision to have my character’s death was made to boost viewership. I’m okay with it as long as it serves the show. I invested a lot of effort into my character. I enjoy taking on challenging roles; even my negative role in ‘Na Umra Ki Seema Ho’ was very intriguing. I had everyone shedding tears.”
Despite having acted in two shows this year, “Na Umra Ki Seema Ho” and “Neerja,” Sneha expresses that she isn’t considering a break. She asserts, “I don’t believe in taking holidays. I am actively seeking new projects now. I am a workaholic and don’t feel the need to focus on anything else. While I might spend a few days out of town with my family, my primary focus is on securing a compelling role.”
Sneha Wagh’s journey continues as she navigates through challenging roles, leaving a mark with her powerful performances and dedication to her craft.
