Today’s chapter is very emotional and sad. Don’t be angry with me ???. So let’s start.
Previously on ‘Soch Na Sake (Can’t Even Imagine)…………
……….near the gate……….
“Good luck for tomorrow. Have a safe journey!! ??? Bye ???” she waved and turned to go. He held her hand. She looked back.
“When I come back, I want to tell you something. You would listen na?” He asked hopefully.
“Of course I would!! But if you forgot my chocolates, I won’t!!” Her silly reply made him laugh ???.
“I won’t forget!!” He said laughing.
“Good” she opened the gate but this time, she turned back. She looked uncertain for a few seconds, then went to him and hugged him.
The gang + Riya got a shock. Everyone was thinking same thing. **When did they got this close???**
And Kabir…. he got a double shock. Because of the shock, he just stood there like a statue. Sanchi misunderstood his silence and broke the hug. “I’m sorry. I should go now”
Then giving her a shock, he grabbed her hand and pulled her to him. She fell right in to his embrace. “Dont say that. You gave me a shock. That’s why……” He mumbled to her hair hugging her tight. She too hugged him back smiling ???.

“I really should go now. I have work tomorrow and your flight is in the morning.” Saying she broke the hug, not before giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. She ran staight inside the hostel while he stood there in shock ???. Then slowly his face eased in to a smile and finally, grinning like an idiot holding his cheek (???). He went home by the same taxi, they came. Driver uncle gave him a knowing look, making him embarrassed ???.
Meanwhile when Sanchi came near her room, she saw the gang standing there, arms crossed, waiting for her explanation.
“Woh…. his car broke down and we couldn’t get a taxi. That’s why we got late!” She quickly went to her room before they ask anything more.
After she went, Veer, Pragya and Isha laughed ??? while Riya went with a frown ???.
……….Next day morning……….
Kabir was getting ready to go to the airport. His phone buzzed with a text.
“Good morning!! Good luck for the conference!! Have a safe journey!! And hey…… don’t you dare forget my chocolates!!! ?”
After reading it he couldn’t help but to smile ???. “Pagal ladki!!”
“Kya baath hai Golu! What got you so happy suddenly? Till yesterday you were whining and said that you don’t feel like going. What happened now?” Kusum asked coming to him.
“Kuch nahi maa… Now I just want to come back soon ???” He took her blessings and left.
He reached Geneva safely. Conference was for 3 days. He’s coming back to India on the 4th day. Everyday, he wake up to see a good morning message from Sanchi. She reminded him about the chocolates too making him laugh each and everyday. 1st day, 2nd day…. 3rd day he woke up normally but feels weird. He checked his phone and there was nothing. **She haven’t send me a message today!! Is she alright? I’ll just call her. (He called her but she wasnt answering) Why isnt she answering? I’m getting this weird feeling too!! What if something’s wrong? No Kabir!! Tum bhi na… she must be busy! Doesn’t she have any work? ???** He convinced himself and went to his conference. Throughout the time he was there he couldn’t concentrate on it. After finishing, he came to his hotel room and sat on his bed. He took his phone to call Sanchi again but saw a video message from her. He opened it with a broad smile ???.
……….video message……….
Sanchi was sitting on a stool, a guitar on her hand.
“Good morning Kabir ???. I have a surprise for you!! Don’t close the message ok.” She smiled to him and started to play the guitar.

She finished her song and kept her guitar aside. “I wanted to sing this song to you when you got back ☺☺☺. But destiny seems to have other plans for me, Kabir. Remember I told you that I’ll tell you what makes me worried, when you come back? I’ll tell you that now Kabir.”
(Kabir’s heart started to race at her words)
“Without going around the topic, I’ll just come to the point. I have a weak heart Kabir. Without a heart transplanting, I won’t live for long. So basically, I might not get a chance to see you again. I wanted to tell this to you for a long time, but I didn’t know how. Please don’t hate me for hiding this. And those chocolates I asked you to bring, give them to Riya ??? she’d be happy with them. I’m sorry for hurting you like this Kabir. I really am!! I want to be with you but I can’t. I don’t have much time left.
I LOVE YOU!!”
……….end of video message……….
Tears running down his eyes without stopping. He couldn’t believe what he just heard. “No!! This isn’t true!! This is a lie!! Sanchi, you shouldn’t joke with me like this!!” He mumbled in shock.
He tried to call her but her phone’s switched off. He tried others, but They weren’t answering either.
“This is NOT true!!! NOOOOOO!!!!” He let out an agonizing scream.
He quickly got up and packed his bags. Leaving the hotel, he went to the airport. Luckily he got a flight to India. He came to the hospital and ran inside. He found Sunil.
“Sir! Sir where’s Sanchi?” – Kabir
“Kabir? You’re here? Weren’t you supposed to come tomorrow?” Sunil asked surprised.
“Sir forget all that. Sanchi kaha hai?” – Kabir
“Sanchi? Kabir it’s 2.15 a.m. Sanchi’s in the hostel. You must be tired too. Go home. Talk to her tomorrow” He replied to Kabir averting his eyes.
He folded his arms and begged him. “Sir please!!! ??? I know she’s here. She’s not well right? That’s why you’re here at this time of night too!! Sir, please sir!! Let me see her!! Just one time!! ??? Please, I just want to see her!!”
Sunil looked helpless. “Son, come with me” he took Kabir to his cabin.
“Sit” he asked him to sit, but Kabir was standing there like a statue.
“Kabir beta, before you meet her, you need to know the whole story. So sit and listen” his words made him obey.
“I don’t know how much you know, so I’ll start from the beginning. Sanchi was a little weak since she was a kid. But when she started high school, she got different. She can’t do much work, physically. She gets tired easily. When we checked her, we got to know her heart is getting weak. We treated her. She started to get better. That was the time you joined here as an intern. When I was talking about how talented you are, Sanchi got jealous every time. She even hated you.”
Sunil smiled ??? reminiscing the past.
“She always told me,
Papa doesn’t love me!! That Dr. Kabir guy had become your son!! You just wait papa! I’ll become a better doctor than him!! Then papa will see. I’ll teach that Dr. Kabir guy not to mess with Sanchi Mishra!!
She always wanted to be better than you. It became her life’s goal. Then she started college. One day she stopped hating you. (He laughs ??? lightly). She told me why.
One day when she came home from college, you were there. You were discussing about a patient with me. That was the first time she saw you. She didn’t came in front, so you won’t see her. But she was watching you from the door. After that day, she started to admire you. She was fascinated to see how dedicated you, towards your work. The girl who wanted to be better than you, wanted to be just like you. It really surprised me when she said,
Papa, one day I’ll become a good doctor like your favourite, Dr. Kabir. You know if you ever decided to get me married to him, I won’t complain ever!!
He wiped a tear that fell from his eyes. That day I come to know she loved you”
While Sunil was talking, Kabir went to a flashback where he first met Sanchi.
……….flashback……….
“Do you believe in love at first sight, Dr. Kabir?” She asked him out of the blue.
The sudden question caught him off guard. He didn’t expect her to ask such a thing. “Why did you asked something like that suddenly?”
“Coz I think it happened to me. Pahle nazar mein pyaar!” She said looking at him with mischief.
………..end of flashback……….
**That day I thought she’s just flirting with me. But she was talking about the first time she saw me!! She was in love with me since she was in college?** Kabir wondered in his mind.
Sunil continued to tell the story. “Even I was happy that she liked someone like you. But her destiny changed drastically. Her condition started to get worse. We got to know that she need to do a heart transplantation. She can’t live long without that. She was in the list. That’s when she joined here as an intern. She always messed with you, troubled you, without caring about your punishments. She wanted to tell you how much she loved you, but every time she stopped herself. She told me,
Papa, what if I die? I don’t want him to be sad because of me. I’d tell him if I get better. So papa, you have to keep it a secret. Don’t tell him!!”
Kabir was lost in thoughts.

The words she always used to confuse him, now made sense. Her talks about how short the life is…… everything made sense to him now.
“We found her a donor and we were ready for her surgery, but a little girl who was suffering from heart problems got worse. So she gave up her chance for the little girl. She didn’t want to give you pain Kabir. True she troubled you with her weird songs and dialogues, but that’s only because she loved you. She did tried to stay away from you but failed to do that. She fell for you more and made you fall for her too. Because of you, she wanted to do the surgery quickly. She wanted to share her feelings with you. But unfortunately, her condition got bad before we could find a donor. Now we don’t know if she live until we find another donor. Kabir beta, please!! Stay strong!! Spend your time with her while you can!!” Sunil finished with tears ???. “She’s in room 1123”
Without another word, he sprinted out of Sunil’s cabin and ran to room 1123.
He entered without knocking. There, lying on the bed was Sanchi, looking like an angel fallen from the sky. She was sleeping peacefully. He stepped in to the room without taking his eyes off her. Each step he took forward, made him remember every moment he spent with her. Seeing her there with wires…. machines…. it broke his heart to see her like this. Tears ran down freely from his eyes. He fell to his knees near her bed. Holding her hand, he too fell asleep after thinking of her.
Sanchi woke feeling thirsty. She tried to take the glass but her hand wasn’t free. She looked down and saw someone sleeping, holding her hand.
“Kabir holding my hand and he’s sleeping beside me? What a nice dream ??? I don’t want to wake up!!” She thought out loud smiling. She slowly caressed his head with her free hand.
Kabir started to wake. He opened his sleepy eyes and looked at her.
“He looks so cute!!! I really don’t want to wake up. I want to live in this dream forever!!” – Sanchi
His expression was so sad, he slowly touched her cheek.
Her eyes widened. “I’m not dreaming!! You’re real!! You’re really here!! Kabir? Weren’t you supposed to come tomorrow? What are you doing here?” She threw questions at him sitting up.
He stood up from the floor and sat on her bed facing her. “You’re talking so normally as if nothing happened!! You sent me that message!!! Do you have any idea how worried I was?” He exclaimed.
She looked puzzled at first but soon realized. “I told Veer to send that message tomorrow. Not today!! I won’t spare him for this. Can’t he just mind his ow-”
“SHUT UP!!” Kabir yelledat her. “You wanted to send me that message tomorrow? When? After something happened to you? How could you decide to leave me like this? You don’t have any right to leave me!! …… (he’s trying to calm himself) …… Sanchi…… why did you hide this from me? Why didn’t you tell me before?” He asked caressing her cheek sincerely.
Her eyes started to glisten seeing him look so broken. “I-l know I sh-should’ve told y-you…… I know I-l was wrong…… (her voice is trembling) …… I know I wa-was being s-so selfish! But I was afraid!! …… (she’s crying softly) …… I was afraid if I told you, you’d stay away from me. I know it’s so selfish!! I should’ve stayed away from you. I knew I won’t live for a long time, but I want to be normal too Kabir!! I wanted to have a normal life. I wanted to love someone, stay happy with him, have a family…. I didn’t want to let you go Kabir, I’m sorry!! ??????” she broke down completely.
Kabir hugged her so tight. He too was crying silently. “Sshhh…” he’s trying to calm her even though he’s break in to pieces from inside.
“Stop it Sanchi…. if you don’t want to leave me, you have to stop crying now…. it’s not good for you” she stopped herself with so much difficulty. He broke the hug and looked at her lovingly. “Remember what I told you before I left? That I have to tell you something? You promised me that you would listen. (He leaned closer making his forehead touch with hers) You can’t break that promise now. You HAVE to get better. Only then I’d tell you. And your stupid chocolates!! I’m not giving them to that Riya!! It’s for you!! Only you!!”
“I’m sorry Kabir..”
“Chup!! Main na… tumhe kuch nahi hone dunga… got that? You have to get better. I won’t let anything happen to you… tumhe kahi nahi jaane dunga…” He placed a lingering kiss on her forehead with so much emotions. She closed her eyes feeling his emotions. After few seconds, he left there.

That’s sad I know, but that’s all for today!! I’m sad these days that’s why I posted this instead of ‘Unwritten Love Of Destiny’. I took this exam and the results haven’t released yet!! Right now I don’t care if I’m passed or not!! I just want my results ???. And my uni exams are starting so I have to study!! So the sad news is I won’t be posting anything for 14-16 days!! I’m so sorry about that but I have to study a lot ???.
