Pragya then stayed at Mehra mansion for few days to take care of Rinku. He was very happy as it was always fun to be with Pragya. In these few days, she cooked for him delicious food. She even feed him which was very special to Rinku.
On the last day, when she decided to leave he cried badly. Pragya made him feel better saying next time she will come & stay too.
Abhi saw his mother approaching him. She sits beside him.
His mother “You behaved well Abhi for the past few days.” Abhi “I don’t understand how will this change her.” His mother “You see Abhi, you maintained a distance & gave space for mother & son to have their time. Giving space & time is very important as it is the foundation for a strong relation.” Abhi remains silent. His mother “Abhi….you had wait all this while, now just wait for sometime. Sometimes waiting is worth it.”
Abhi “But sometimes waiting causes worries Ma”
“Well, our next plan will surely reduce your worries.” She replied with confidence.
Abhi “Thank you Ma! Without you, I don’t think I would be with this much of patience.”
She smiled widely in response & said it’s her responsibility to make him be with patience.
Pragya on the other hand was thinking of the few days at Mehra mansion. Although she was feeling happy spending time with Rinku, she felt what’s wrong with Abhi. He was not talking to her like he used to. He was being a perfect gentleman. Never go behind her or pull her by force like he had done before.
Pragya, Was it because he was too worried for Rinku’s health? Or was it because his mother was around so he doesn’t want to do anything that will bring attention to her. No….I don’t think so. I feel he wants the time I spent there to be not disturbed. I had the most memorable days with Rinku. It was all fun. I am thankful to him for not disturbing me in this period.
She smiles as she thinks about Abhi giving her the space to be with Rinku.
A few days later,
Pragya was informed by Rinku that something big is happening in his house. He said he doesn’t know what event it is but there was decorations going around in his house.
Pragya hearing it was surprised. She was curious what was it. She decided to visit Rinku & also know what’s happening there.
Pragya enters the house, she gets scared of seeing the preparations that are going in the Mehra house. She sees a mandap setup in the middle of the living room.
Pragya, Oh no! Is He going to get married? But why should I be worried? I know this will happen sometime. Stop worrying Pragya, you are here to see Rinku your friend. That’s all.
Unknowingly, tears flooded in her eyes seeing the mandap & Abhi coming down the stairs dressed up in sherwani.
She quickly wipes her tears by taking her chasma away. She then turns back as Abhi was approaching towards her.
Abhi “How do you think the decorations are looking?” Pragya in a low tone “Nice…” Abhi “I never expect a marriage will be happening in my house.” Pragya “Me too….” Abhi looks at her smiling inwardly.
Abhi “Pragya, you should be aware of the wedding rituals right?” Pragya looking away said “No. Rinku is at room right?” She asked.
Abhi “Yes, but he is also dressing up.” Pragya “Oh….” Abhi “After all he will be the best man.” Pragya “Can I see him?” Abhi “Sure!” He said by asking her to follow him.
She was following him lifelessly. She knew this would happen but seeing all this, she can’t accept it.
Abhi “He is inside here.” He said by knocking the door. Rinku “Come in…” He says.
Rinku smiles seeing Pragya. Pragya with difficulty smiles at him too.
Rinku “How am I looking Pragie??” Pragya “Handsome. Much more handsome than the person getting married.” She said by taking a glance at Abhi.
“How’s that possible?” Someone said making Pragya turned behind to see who it was.
“How’s that possible? He can’t be more handsome than me on this day!!!” He said.
Pragya looked clueless as he said “Hi! I am Purab!”
Purab introduced himself & she smiled in response.
Purab “I have heard a lot about you. Bhai always talk about you. Then your friend, she also tells a lot of sweet things about you.” Pragya “You are his brother?” Purab “Yes I am his brother & also your friend, Bulbul’s man!” Pragya “Glad to meet you. So you have come all the way from France for your brother’s marriage?”
Abhi, Purab & Rinku burst into laughter. Pragya was confused looking at them.
Purab “No Pragya, It’s my marriage. Didn’t your friend inform you?” Pragya “What???” Purab “I think she was too excited for marriage until she forgot to inform you.” Pragya “Where is she?” She asked in anger. Purab “In the next room. I guess she is going to get something from you.” He replied.
Abhi “Before that can I talk to you for a while Pragya?” Pragya looked at him. Abhi “Please…” He asked her pleadingly. Pragya nods her head as yes.
Purab “Rinku, let’s go. We can let them talk in this room. We will now go & see what is your friend, Bubble doing!”
Abhi “Ma said you can’t see her na before marriage. Try to obey her words Purab.” Pragya smiled at Abhi for respecting his mother’s words.
Purab “But Bhai, Ma is busy na. She won’t be noticing it”
Abhi “Please Purab, Obey her words, it’s my humble request.” Rinku “Haan! You have to listen to Dadi if not she will be upset.”
Purab “Alright, when both original & duplicate copies advise me, I gotta listen.”
Abhi & Rinku frown at him. Purab “Ok ok! I’m sorry. Let’s go Rinku. We shall play some games for awhile.” He said by carrying Rinku & walking away from the room.
There was a pin drop silence in the room after Purab & Rinku left the room.
Abhi sighed. Pragya looked at him wondering what will he tell now.
Abhi “So you were scared that I was getting married.” Pragya “No, I wasn’t scared.”
Abhi “How Pragya? How can you lie every single time when I can see love in your eyes. You were scared to lose your love. Your eyes show that very clearly if not why did you have tears?”
Pragya was unable to answer as he was telling the truth.
Abhi standing closely to her “Even now seeing you here alone, makes me want to do all kind of things.”
Pragya was feeling nervous as his look & tone was intense.
Abhi “But you know….I won’t do all that. I told you before, “I love you” from you is what will make me closer to you. Having this physical proximity is not what I want. I want to be close to you emotionally.”
Pragya keeps on look at him while he continues “Pragya….I love you from seeing you & your love towards my Rinku.”
Pragya “Mr Abhi….” Abhi loudly “Mr Abhi? Oh right! Even now you could only see me as Mr Abhi.” Abhi turns away & throws a vase onto the floor.
Pragya was taken aback by his sudden change. Abhi “Leave Ms Pragya!!” He emphasized the word Ms Pragya strongly.
Pragya “Listen, I want to tell you something.” She said but Abhi was in no mood to listen to her. He simply pulled her out of the room. He locked the door & Pragya was shocked of his sudden harsh behaviour.
The loud noise from him slamming the door caught the attention of people around. His mother also saw Pragya standing in front the door helplessly.
His mother “what’s wrong? Why did he slam the door this way?” Pragya told what happened inside & his mother “Oh…that means he is frustrated. But usually he won’t do like this when he is frustrated.” Pragya “It’s all because of me.” His mother “It’s alright. I can understand you still don’t feel love towards him.” Pragya looks around. She sees others are busy in work.
Pragya “Can I tell you something?” His mother “Tell Pragya….” Pragya “I do love him.” His mother “Then what’s stopping from telling him? You know how much he is waiting for this?”
Pragya “I know Ma….but…..” His mother “You have to confess your love at least for Rinku. Keep your insecurities aside & think about how will it be like if you live with Abhi & Rinku as a family.” Pragya remains silent hearing it.
His mother “I have to leave now Pragya. There is a lots of work to be done.” Pragya nods her head in response. His mother before leaving said “Sometimes you have to leave from certain thoughts to live your life. Hope you can understand this.”
Pragya looks back at the closed door. Will this closed door open with her love for him?

Abhi ignores Pragya’s presence which hurts her. Rinku sees this & gets angry on Abhi.
Rinku asks Abhi to carry him. Abhi carries him & Rinku whispers “Papa! Go talk to Mumma!” Abhi “Why should I? Your Mumma forgot to love me.” Rinku “Papa, you make her remember.” Abhi “We will talk about this later. Now look at the function. See there, Preethi is also here.” Rinku frowns as Abhi is talking about Preethi instead of Pragya.
