Surviving on television is getting tougher than ever. While many shows come and go, there are many who don’t even get a lunch even after being made. And some get pulled off air within a few months of their launch. The head honchos of such channels, pull the plug on all the shows which fail to garner good number and recently, many have come under the sledging for the same.
Star Bharat as a channel is struggling hard to maintain it’s TRPs by bringing in new shows every now and then but they get slacked because of one or the other reason. The only two good performing shows on the channels are RadhaKrishn and Nimki Vidhayak.
Since quite a while the buzz was that the makers are now in a mood to pull the plug on Helly Shah led Sufiyaana Pyaar Mera (SPM). The show was made keeping in mind the current trend of Muslim based shows but SPM never created the desired magic for Star Bharat. The makers however, never clarified anything.
But now the lead actor Rajveer Singh aka Zaroon has confirmed that the show is not going off-air. In a tete-e-tete with a leading daily, Rajveer mentioned that he did hear rumors about the show getting the ax but after they spoke to the production house (Danesh Javed & Prateek Sharma), the latter denied any possibility of the same.
Albeit, he said that he too is disappointed with the numbers of the show as their hard work is not reflecting well in ratings. Well, SPM fans!! you can rejoice. Your show is not going off air any time soon.
