Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 has been making headlines ever since its launch last month, and the drama on the show has kept viewers on the edge of their seats. In the opening week, the show sparked a lot of buzz, especially with the intense clash between host Rohit Shetty and contestant Asim Riaz. The situation escalated further with a heated argument between Asim and fellow contestant Abhishek Kumar, ultimately leading to Asim’s departure from the show. The incident has drawn criticism from various celebrities, including Sumbul Touqeer of Imlie fame, who recently shared her thoughts on the controversy, describing it as “uncalled for.”
In an interview with Buzzzooka TV, Sumbul Touqeer expressed her views on the Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 drama, stating, “These guys have turned Khatron Ke Khiladi into Bigg Boss, and that makes no sense to me. Why even have two different shows then? Just put some stunts and this drama in Khatron Ke Khiladi, and you don’t need two shows then. I felt this was very uncalled for, and also very unnecessary because this show is for stunts.”
The tension reached its peak during the second episode, where contestants Asim Riaz, Aashish Mehrotra, and Niyati Fatnani were tasked with collecting flags from a seesaw as part of a stunt. The stakes were high, as only the top performers would be safe from elimination. While Aashish and Niyati completed the task successfully, Asim struggled and claimed the task was impossible. He challenged the team to prove it could be done, leading to a confrontation with host Rohit Shetty. Rohit responded by showing rehearsal videos and warned Asim to maintain his composure. The situation further intensified when Abhishek Kumar tried to intervene, resulting in a heated exchange between the two contestants.
Aside from Asim, Aashish, and Niyati, Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 features a star-studded lineup, including Shalin Bhanot, Krishna Shroff, Gashmeer Mahajani, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Sumona Chakravarti, and more. When asked about Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia’s performance, Sumbul reportedly said, “I will only say that Nimrit is such a strong woman. I love her with all my heart and I have been missing her for a long time. It has been a while since I have seen her. In fact, I am watching KKK for her as and when I get the time.”
Sumbul Touqeer is currently starring in her latest project, Kavya Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon, where she shares the screen with Mishkat Varma.
