Sumit Singh, known for her role in “Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin,” has recently found herself at the center of a significant controversy. Media reports have surfaced, alleging that Sumit has been in a relationship with “Mera Balam Thaanedar” actor Shagun Pandey, leading to a dramatic incident on the set of her show. To clear the air, Sumit Singh shared her side of the story exclusively with Pinkvilla.
According to recent media reports, Sumit Singh was accused of two-timing with Shagun Pandey and another actor from “Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.” These reports suggested that upon discovering this, Shagun Pandey confronted Sumit on set, causing a scene and resulting in Sumit experiencing a panic attack, which temporarily halted the shoot.
In response to these allegations, Sumit Singh spoke with Pinkvilla to set the record straight.
Sumit Singh acknowledged that Shagun Pandey did visit her on the set of “Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin,” but she categorically denied any romantic involvement. “The media reports are all fabricated. Yes, Shagun did come on the sets, but not because he is my boyfriend. I want to put the record straight that Shagun and I are not dating each other. We worked together in ‘Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet.’ We have family relations,” Sumit clarified.
Sumit further explained the circumstances of Shagun Pandey’s visit. “I was on a random call with Shagun, and my health deteriorated. Because we know each other from before and he knew about my health issues, he suggested that he come on the sets to make sure I was doing fine,” she said.
Contrary to reports of a confrontation, Sumit stated, “He did not create any scene. Also, I have been accused of delaying the shoot. However, I told the team that I’d shoot and manage. They asked me to get better and take rest.”
Reading these inaccurate reports has taken a toll on Sumit. “Reading such horrible things about myself has been upsetting. I have been swamped with messages and calls. It is very disturbing and stressful,” she shared.
Amidst this controversy, “Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin” is preparing for a leap, with most of the cast, including Sumit Singh and Shakti Arora, set to exit the show.
Sumit Singh’s ability to address rumors head-on and maintain professionalism amid personal attacks demonstrates her resilience in the face of adversity. As she prepares to move on from “Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin,” fans will undoubtedly continue to support her in her future endeavors.
