“Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin” has been the talk of the town due to rumors about a potential storyline leap. Amidst this speculation, it has been confirmed that Shakti Arora, Sumit Singh, and members of the Bhosale family will be exiting the show. In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Sumit Singh, who portrays the character of Reeva, shared her thoughts on her departure and disclosed that she learned about the leap through external sources, not the production team.
Sumit Singh played the significant role of Reeva in “Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.” Reflecting on her exit, Sumit said, “Honestly, I’m quite attached to the character of Reeva. All the emotions she faced—be it love, sacrifice, or pain—I gave my all to the character, and it will be difficult to move on from such a dear role. I loved being Reeva, getting dressed as her, and feeling emotions like her.”
When asked about her reaction to the news of the show’s leap, Sumit revealed, “Well, I got to know from elsewhere about the leap in the show. I was getting calls from casting directors who were offering me roles in other shows. When I told them I was still doing GHKKPM, they informed me that the show was taking a leap and many characters would exit.”
“I didn’t believe them initially because the show is doing pretty well. Why would the makers take a leap when the show is doing good? However, later, I realized it was true,” she added.
Sumit expressed her feelings about her time on the show, saying, “It is surely sad, but I had a great time playing Reeva so far, and as an actor, it was an enriching journey.”
According to exclusive reports from Pinkvilla, Pallavi Pradhan and Sagar Saini will join the cast post-leap. Additionally, Hitesh Bharadwaj (of “Udaariyaan” fame) is set to enter the show opposite Bhavika Sharma (Savi).
