Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel bring the Gadar magic to ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’
In an upcoming episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, the iconic characters Tara Singh and Sakina from the movie Gadar, portrayed by Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel respectively, will be gracing the stage. A recent promo showcased Krushna Abhishek disguised as a Sheikh, expressing his admiration for the Deol family and their journey from Punjab to Bombay to establish their own identity.
During the show, Ameesha Patel shared an interesting incident highlighting the immense popularity of Gadar. She recalled shooting for the film Humraaz alongside Bobby Deol when a large crowd gathered on a nearby terrace to watch their scenes. As Bobby hugged her, the onlookers exclaimed, “Leave her alone, she is entrusted to your brother. Tara Singh brought her all the way from Pakistan.”
Kapil Sharma chimed in, reminiscing about the impact of the song “Main Nikla Gaddi Leke,” which led people to believe that the real joy lies in driving a truck. He amusingly mentioned that even Archana ji purchased a truck after the song’s release, jesting about the truck parked outside the set with the slogan “Hum Do, Humare Nau.”
The atmosphere turned joyous as Kapil and his family congratulated Sunny Deol on his son’s wedding. Raju joined in with a dhol and started dancing Gidda with Sunny to celebrate the happy news. However, a humorous moment ensued when Krushna mistakenly called Ameesha Patel “Hamesha Patel” instead of her actual name, Ameesha. Kapil corrected him, to which Krushna jokingly replied, “She will always remain Patel and won’t change to Sharma on this show.”
