Sun rose from darkness of night and spread it’s sunshine on her sleepy face…she opened her mischievous eyes slowly…then closed again with jerk n put pillow on her face….her mom came to her room to wake her up…she knew her sleepy head daughter was still be in her dreamland…she smiled seeing pillow on her pretty face…she pulled her blanket n pillow…and she whimpered….her mother Mala said in her sweet voice, “Radhika…my sweeeeeetu…wake up…it’s 7 am…..u have your report due today”…and with that….radhika opened her hazel orbs slowly but then blinked her thick lashes many times in shock….omg…yes, it’s the day when her report was due…for which she worked soo hard…worked several days n nights…after so much hard work today was the day when she will hand her project report to her professor Dr. Arjun Mehra…her mentor, her true love, her passion, her only desire, where she finds her solace….but couldn’t confess yet. Her heart was insisting but mind stops her…thinking it’s only one sided.
Radhika got up and asked her mom, “Maa, why didn’t you wake me up earlier, now I’ll get late again…u know I was up until 3:30 last night just to finish that report…n I also put alarm for 6 o’clock…but this clock is a piece of junk”…mala smiled on her doll’s annoyance….she looked at clock n chuckled…”my princess, u put alarm for 6pm instead of 6am…” Radhika gasped n checked n hit her palm to her forehead n said…”that’s why…omg…why am I still here talking to u…I’ve to be in university by 9:30…thx maa for waking me up in time…you’re the sweetest”…by saying this she kissed mala’s cheek n ran to washroom.
After 30 minutes, rads was ready in her favorite red top n black legging…with pair of golden earrings, fine eyeliner, light pink lip gloss n pair of black sandals…she always look gorgeous in her simplicity…she came to dining table n grabbed an apple….her younger brother ankush called from back….”hey radhu, where r u running like a train…eat breakfast then go”…her father Dilip Mishra n dadaji also peeped from their newspaper…. n dilip said..”chhoti, wait…I’ll drop u to uni…eat your breakfast, otherwise u’ll be hungry soon”…ankush added, “This small apple won’t help u at all”…n chuckled, rads glared her brother…n spat,”why do u always eyeing my food, u look at your body…u need to join gym soon.”….she stuck her tongue out n teased him… ankush glared her back…rads hi-fied dadaji…sat there n had a slice of bread with buyter n milk hurriedly…then told dilip…”Papa, let’s go…fast…I’m done”…n both left quickly bidding bye…ankush, mala n dadaji laughed on father-daughter duo…..dadaji was the oldest member of rads family n her buddy…dilip was businessman..he had a shopping mall…ankush also helped his father in family business…n Mala was a house wife but very strong pillar of this sweet home.
Radhika was 5.5 feet tall, a simple, sweet n lovely girl. The only loving daughter of her parents and naughty sister of her brother. She was in her early twenties…chirpy, happy girl…who loves to give happiness to her family and friends. She was lovely young lady, hard working, a good student, reading and writing stories was her passion. She was very good dancer too. So over all, very fun loving, full of life but outspoken girl, who doesn’t scare to say truth n never stay quiet if there is something wrong happening around her. Sam was her best friend n neil her best buddy, partners in crime…trio had very lovely friendship bond…neil n sam were in love from first year of engineering…soon going ti be engaged….rads joined the uni at that time too….her friendly, outspoken, naughty n simple nature pulled nesam towards her n made them best friends forever…nesam were doing PhD in robotics engineering n rads was doing her PhD in Bioengineering…all were very hard working…but also very fun loving n enjoy each other’s company very much…
Radhika reached college by 9:00am n she moved to her professor Dr. Arjun Mehra’s cabin to submit her project report…which she prepared assisting him as an assistant professor…they were working together from last 2 semesters on this project…Arjun was very serious about it n was very carefully mentoring rads in this…the project was on cancer cells…they had to create computer simulation programs to capture rate of cancer cells formation of different types n forms….they had to stop this growth n kill bad cells with high frequency rays but very precisely saving other good cells….Arjun was youngest professor in this university…..he was in his late twenties…6 feet tall, arrogant, well built body, very handsome n smart…but there was an emptiness in his dark eyes….which intrigued rads more n more…she often thought to ask him about it but then stepped back, thinking he might feel it n maybe it’s personal n he won’t like to share it…rads n arjun became good friends in this period of time…ardhika were the best team…every professor, Dean n all students respected them n all were expecting very good results of their research project. Nesam told her several times to confess her love for him but she was adamant. Sam teases her n says…”Chashni, you will confess your love to him soon n u won’t even realize…it’s my promise…” n chuckled again…..rads shrugged…
Rads came out of her thinking when she reached arjun’s cabin n knocked the door but no answer…she waited few minutes…then she heard a beep in her cell phone…the text from Arjun….”Radhika, I’m sorry, I got a small accident n my car broke, I can’t be there today…can u plz drop the project file my home with demo model, plz….n mail the soft copy of file n program with your latest updates to my email so it will be safe.” And he sent his address to her. Rads got panic n read arjun’s text…again n again….accident?….no way?….she read his address…took cab to reach arjun’s home fast….she was praying for his wellness throughout her ride…she informed her family n nesam in her way about arjun’s accident n she is going to his home to submit project…..
She rang bell nervously….a man around his 50’s welcomed her…arjun’s house was not so big but very peaceful n beautiful…she asked the man…”Uncle, where is Arjun sir?” He told her, “You must be radhika.” Rads smiled n nodded…”yes…he texted me…i came here to give him this project….how this accident happened?”…Rana uncle smiled at her concern n told her, “you should ask this to him. He is waiting for you.” Rana showed her way to arjun’s room n left…Arjun had bandage on his left side of forehead n few wounds n scratch marks on hands…..he straighten up in his bed n gestured rads to come in…she came inside n kept project file n demo on arjun’s study table…she came near his bed n a lone tear escaped her eyes…arjun saw that n his heart ached….his chirpy assistant n friend was feeling his pain n he felt her tears dropping on his heart….he was having feelings for her from quite long time now….when she first came in his cabin in university….her sweet smile, bright hazel orbs, chirpy voice n simplicity made him mad for her…like sunshine entered in his dark lonely heart….he mesmerized n smiled unknowingly looking at her….. that day he smiled after very long time….day by day he was falling for her deeply…but composes himself behind his arrogance…..the most lovely thing he liked in her… her hard work n intelligence…caring, loving nature…..neil was arjun’s best friend also, they knew each other from college…arjun was 2 years senior than neil…but still they shared very strong bond….neil knew about his likeness towards rads….neil insisted arjun many times to confess but he had some hesitation….although arjun became good friend of rads but he was waiting for their research to get successful…..
Arjun always admire rads but never said anything to her…coz of his darkness in his heart…he was rude n arrogant before, wanted to get success in his research at any cost but failed at the last minute coz of his eagerness n lack of patience…when rads was assigned to his project as his assistant…then he opposed first…but later he agreed upon her plea….her picky questions irritates him n he gets mad on her but later arjun think about it n then realizes her point of view….her intrigued mind gave new direction to arjun’s research. ..her comments n analysis made arjun so impressed…he fell in love with her immensely….his only sunshine…who gave him courage to fight with his darkness….
Rads sat in chair in front of arjun’s bed n asked…”Hello Arjun sir…how did this happen? How r u feeling now?”….Arjun smiled n rads heart skipped a beat…that’s the only one smile who captured rads heart the very first day….he doesn’t smile much but when he does then it’s like a Greek God smiling. She loved him immensely, deeply n truly…he too loved her from the bottom of his heart…but both not able to confess….Even in the university fest when ardhika were selected as dance partners….they lovingly danced on romantic song….. “Halchal hui… Zara shor hua….dil chor hua…teri or hua…Ishq Huaaa”…..everyone mesmerized by their chemistry…ardhika felt each other’s proximity but still couldn’t say anything….nesam just facepalmed themselves n shook their heads watching them…
Arjun came back from memory lane seeing her frowned face n said, “I’m totally fine, nothing happened to me…it was just a small accident…” rads was looking at him with very concerned eyes…arjun continued “I tried to save a pedestrian from drunken driver, I saved him but my car hit a tree instead….n I got hurt…Rana kaka, already called doctor n he checked me….don’t worry, I’ll be fine soon, just few days n I’ll be back in uni”…
Now rads got irritated and flinched, she started scolding him “This is a small accident? Small? U r on the bed with all these bandages n wounds n u r saying it’s a small accident?….u were saving someone that’s good, but what if something happened to u? What would I do? U know how much I got scared of knowing your accident? I died several times in last one hour….u know how much I love you?…I couldn’t even think to live without you….u just took my breath away…” n she start sobbing loudly….arjun shocked n surprised at her cute confession….she told him everything unknowingly…his happiness had no limits today
…his eyebrows cocked up n he held her hand to console her but she was not stopping…arjun scoot up a little n slowly moved near to her n put his hand on her shoulder, caressed her hair…n asked, “what did u just say? Say it again….” she stopped crying after listening to him n realized what she just said n gasped…reminding Sam’s words that she will confess her feelings unknowingly…she lifted her eyes….and looked at him scaring…she thought, what if he scold her or never talk to her…what if she will lose his friendship forever….nooooo…
But….to her shock….Arjun gave her his signature smile n took her hand in his n kissed her palms…he said, “I love u too…but hesitated to say… what if u don’t love me or u have someone else in your life…”…rads eyes widened in shock, surprise n happiness….she thought…what did he just say….he loves me too….O My Godddd…i can’t believe it….rads looked at arjun….he was still staring her with lots of love in his eyes…she couldn’t stop herself now n hugged him tightly n told “I only love u, since I know you…since I know what love is….I just want to be with you…your smile makes me mad for you but your eyes”….her face got sullen again, she asked him, “why so much pain in there? Why is it so empty?…will u share your heart with me?”…arjun pulled her from hug n let her sit in front of him on the bed….n said, “I’ll share everything with you..my life, my heart n my pain too”…with deep breath he continued…”my elder sister Nandini is a cancer patient, she is in her last stage…I love her so much…she is the one who took care of me after my parents death in car accident…Rana uncle my father’s company manager helped us to become as good human being….my nandu runs N GO’S n orphanages, she bore lots of hardships for me…n now she is fighting with cancer, she is in hospital”…Arjuns eyes were filled with tears…he continued…”the research we did…was my duty for my sister’s wellness n for humanity…our hard work made it possible…to cure cancer patients….my sister will be fine soon too….it’s just because of u my sunshine. ..u brought your light in my life n your ideas, approaches n doubts…all gave our research a new light…n we succeeded….our project report will be published tomorrow n the cure for this deadly decease will be out in the world to save lots of people….” he was gazing her with immense love n care…his intense gaze melted her.
Rads eyes were flowing like rain….she was still sobbing but silently…feeling arjun’s pain after knowing his truth of dark eyes…she respected arjun so much but now arjun’s place in her heart was more high….his love n care for his sister…. his hard work to find the cure of her disease……n arjun gave rads the credit for this success….this acknowledgement of his brought tears of happiness in her eyes…..
Arjun couldn’t see her tears….he cupped her face n wiped her tears with his thumbs…n leaned n gave a chaste kiss on her forehead…kissed her wet eyes…her smooth cheeks….her cute nose….n then he stopped…rads opened her eyes slowly n arjun’s gaze met rads..he asked her permission through eyes…rads replied with sweet smile n nodded in yes…..arjun captured rads lips…slowly…rads also start responding, arjun deepened the kiss…her fingers tangled in his dark locks…his one hand held her waist tightly and another hand moved to her back n tangled in her silky tresses…they kissed passionately, claiming each other……they pulled when it’s hard to breath….arjun smiled at rads n she blushed looking down….he said, “I love you Radhika, my sunshine….” Rads lifted her thick lashes n smiled said…”I love you tooo….Arjun sir..”…arjun irritated…..”still sir….at least now you call me only… Arjun…” rads smiled n shyly told….”I love u….Ar….Arjun…..you are my only solace”….both smiled n hugged, feeling loved…..
Rads…still in hug….asked, “so what’s next?” Arjun replied,”whatever u say my sunshine…your wish my command…” Rads pulled from hug…smiled brightly n said, “ok then, first submit this report n then get well soon n come to my home with nandini di n meet my parents to setup our marriage…..so we can be together forever……” she said in one breath n giggled…..arjun raised his eyebrows thought…she will never change…few minutes back she was all blushing, shying but now again started her chirping…..he laughed heartly….. bow down his head in acceptance…..”Ok my Ladylove”…rads heart skipped few beats n her hazel orbs widened…this is the first time she was watching him laugh…his tension free, hearty laugh….she couldn’t stop herself n jumped on him instantly n kissed him hard on lips…arjun astonished with her sudden gesture….he acted as hurted in his wound….”ahhh…radhika…” Radhika caressed his face n asked…”did I hurt you?”….arjun laughed again teasing her n rads gasped….”u were acting? u know teasing too?”…arjun winked n replied…”you don’t know this arjun yet….let us get married then I’ll tell u what else do I know”…rads blushed at his words….ardhika had an intense eyelock…..n they hugged passionately….
Finally…His sunshine n her solace are together forever 😉 ♡♡♡ 😉

Soooo…..how was it, my deariiiiiiieeess…..I’m very nervous…..this is the first time I wrote something on my favorite ardhika/mmz….don’t know if it made any sense….n also not sure how much medical field has succeeded in finding cure of cancer…I used it here as an example….plz don’t relate it to reality…..I don’t know if I met your expectations….I’m not a writer at all…..but my soul sissyyyy requested a one shot as her b’day gift so I here I’m with this os…..n Rosie u have to like it…..I hope you all like it…fingers crossed……plz let me know your feedback….love you loads my deariiiiiiieeess. …muaaaaahhhhhh. ….once again, Happy Birthday Rossy…my sunshine…..take care… stay blessed n healthy alwaysssss. … 😉 ♡♡♡ 🙂
