Part 34:

The next day Meghna and Kunal stayed home. Rohan started working with NK and Sandhya at the office. Ayush was at school , so was Arjun. Nirmala and Dadaji were at the Mandir.
Meghna called Sheila over for lunch.
Sheila: Hi guys.
Kunal: Hey Sheila, how are you?
Sheila: I’m good Kunal.
Meghna was sitting on her sofa.
Sheila walked to Meghna and hugged her.
Meghna: Good to see our again Sheila.
Sheila: Same here.
Sheila sat next to Meghna and Kunal sat on the opposite sofa.
Meghna: Sheila , we called you for kind as well as something else.
Sheila: What is it?
Kunal: We wanted to talk about Rohan.
Sheila: What about him?
Meghna: How do you feel about him?
Sheila: Meghna…
Meghna: I know it’s weird to tell us but Kunal and I saw you both yesterday and thought..
Sheila: And thought there was something going? Well I guess I feel something for him but I’m not sure he feels the same.
Kunal: Why is that?

Sheila: Because my name isn’t even Sheila, it’s Surbhi.
Meghna: Just like his wife’s.
Sheila nodded: Yeah , I had to change my name to work with him.
Kunal: Surbhi , I think you should talk to Rohan.
Meghna: Yeah , Rohan wants to re-marry and we think you’d be the perfect wife to Rohan and mother to Ayush.
Surbhi: Really?
Kunal: Definitely, Ayush was having a lot of fun with you.
Surbhi: He’s a cute child.
Meghna: So you’ll think about it?
Surbhi smiled: Yeah , I will.
Kunal: Good , I’ll go get lunch.
They trio had lunch and Surbhi shared everything with them, she was an only child and her parents had passed away when she was in college. She moved to Jaipur after college and she loves it here.
Surbhi: Thank you for lunch guys.
Kunal: The pleasure was all ours.
Meghna: It was great having you over.
Surbhi: I will talk to you guys later.
Meghna&Kunal: Bye.
Surbhi left.

Kunal and Meghna were sitting in he living area and we’re watching TV. Arjun walked in the house and sat next to Meghna.
Arjun: I have girl trouble! Like major girl trouble!
Kunal: You’ve come to the right person.
Arjun: So Bhabi…
Kunal: Not Bhabi , Bhai!
Arjun: Sorry Bhai , I think I’ll need Bhabi more than you.
Meghna laughed.
Kunal: One day…
Meghna: Arjun , tell me what happened.
Arjun: So there’s this girl , really pretty and smart and she’s shy and conserved. Today I was dared to put a note in her locker telling her I like her.
Meghna: Do you like her?
Arjun: I do.
Kunal: Then what’s the problem.
Arjun: I had to sign my friends name and not mine.
Meghna: Arjun!
Arjun: I know Bhabi , what do I do?
Meghna: Do you think she read the note yet?
Arjun: I don’t know.
Meghna: Okay , tomorrow you leave for school early and you buy her a rose and tell her the story.
Arjun: That’s all?
Meghna; No , after you tell her the story you invite her over for tea.
Arjun: Really?
Meghna: Yes.
Arjun: Okay, thank you!
He hugged Meghna.
Meghna: Makes sure it’s a white rose.
Arjun: Got it!
Arjun went up to his room.
Kunal: Why white Rose?
Meghna: It shows that his intentions are pure and that there’s some sort of attraction between them , not love just yet.
Kunal: Smart.
Meghna: That’s me.

The next day after school Arjun came home with the girl.
Arjun: Come in Arohi.
Meghna and Naina were sitting in the living room with Nirmala and Sandhya.
Meghna: Arohi come and sit.
Arohi: Namaste.
She took Nirmala and Sandhya sitting blessings and then sat in between Naina and Meghna.
Arjun: Well I’ll leave you ladies to it.
Naina: Not so fast mister, you take a seat as well.
Arjun slowly next on the single sofa
Nirmala: We’re glad you could join us Arohi Betaa.
Arohi: I couldn’t refuse a kind invitation.
Naina: I’ll go and get drinks for everyone.
Naina got up and went to the kitchen with Sandhya following behind her.
Sandhya: Naina?
Naina: Jee Masi Maa?
Sandhya: I need to talk to you.
Naina: What’s wrong?
Sandhya smiled: Nothings wrong, it’s just Meghnas delivery date is close by and I wanted to know if the room is ready yet?
Naina: Almost Masi Maa, we just need to build the baby’s cot.
Sandhya: That’s great, remember the surprise right?
Naina: Yes I remember.
The two walked into the living area.
Sandhya: Since guys, what were you guys talking about?
Nirmala: Arohi was talking about her family and school.
Meghna: She loves art just like our Arjun.
Naina: Ooh, I would love to see some work.
Arohi smiled and got her phone out: I’ve got some pictures in my phone.
Arohi showed them all some pictures and then flicked to a family photo.
Nirmala: Are they your parents?
Arohi: Yep, that’s Dad and that’s Mom.
Nirmala and Sandhya looked at each other in shock.
Meghna and Naina saw but didn’t say anything.
Naina: You all look like a cute little family.
Arohi: Yeah, I’ve got the perfect parents.
Sandhya excused herself and went to her room.
The rate continued talking and then Nirmala went to Sandhya.
Nirmal: Sandhya?
Sandhya: I guess he moved on Nirmala.
Nirmala hugged Sandhya which was upset.
Nirmala: It’s okay, you have us.
Sandhya: I know.

In the evening Meghna and Naina went to Sandhya.
Meghna: Masi Maa?
Sandhya smiled: Meghna? Naina? What are you both doing here? Take a seat Meghna.
Meghna sat down next to Sandhya while Naina stood.
Naina: Masi Maa, we wanted to ask about what happened before.
Sandhya: I was guessing you’ll come to ask. Well Arohi’s father is my ex fiancé.
Meghna&Naina: What?
Sandhya: Yes, I was going to marry him until he cheated on me.
Naina: He cheated on you with Arohi’s mother?
Sandhya: No, another woman.
Meghna: Woah, that’s really twisted.
Sandhya: It is but after that he even told me how he didn’t like that I was working with NK Bhaisab.
Meghna: He didn’t support your career?
Sandhya: Nope, he said he wanted a housewife and I told him that I’m glad he cheated on me because I knew he wouldn’t tell me what he really wanted.
Naina: We’re sorry Masi Maa.
Meghna: Yeah, that you were in a relationship with a pig like that.
Naina: Di…
Meghna: Sorry.
Sandhya laughed: No, Meghnas right, he was a pig but I’m glad he moved on.
Naina: Have you?
Sandhya: I’ve got all you guys with me and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Meghna and Naina hugged Sandhya.
Sandhya: You girls should get some sleep.
Meghna&Naina: Goodnight Masi Maa.
Sandhya: Goodnight.
Naina helped Meghna out and then was joined by Karan who held Meghna down the stairs along with Naina.
Karan: Bhai is sleeping Bhabi, he had a long day at work.
Meghna: Poor boy.
Naina: Must be tough without you.
Meghna: Not long now toll I get back to work.
Karan and Naina were in Kunals&Meghnas room downstairs and then left after getting Meghna into bed.
Meghna: Goodnight and thanks you 2.
Naina: Night Di.
Karan: Night Bhabi , and you’re welcome.

The next few days went by slowly , Surbhi and Rohan had spent more time together and decided they’ll get married after Meghna has the baby.
Nirmala: We’re very happy for you both.
Meghna: Another wedding!
Nain: I can’t wait.
Rohan: I also wanted me, Surbhi and Ayush to move to another place.
NK: But you’re part of this family.
Rohan smiled: Uncle, thank you but it’s just I think it would be better for us to have our own place.
Dadaji: If you insist then of course.
Surbhi: We’ll come and visit and you’ll have to come to visit us regularly.
Sandhya: Don’t worry, we will.

3 weeks later Meghna was in her room with Kunal when suddenly her water broke.
Meghna: Kunal , the baby is coming.
Kunal stood up: Come on let’s go.
He grabbed the bags that were packed and called out.
Kunal: Mom! Masi Maa! Naainaaa!!
The 3 women came in a hurry.
Kunal: We need to go to the hospital.
The women were smiling. Nirmala and Kunal held Meghna to the car. Kunal got into drive while Sandhya was beside him and Meghna was in her back with Nirmala and Naina.
Sandhya: I’ll call everyone to the hospital.
Naina: The baby is a week early.
Nirmala: It’ll be okay Meghna, just breathe. Nice and slowly.
Meghna was calm and breathing slowly.
Kunal: We’ll be there soon Honey, just a few minutes more.
The women smiled at Kunal.
Once they got to the hospital Meghna was taken in and Kunal went in with her
Everyone had arrived at the hospital and were waiting outside.
Karan: Naina, the surprise?
Naina: We need to go now otherwise if Di and Jeeju go home before the surprise it won’t be a surprise.
Sandhya: You 2 go, while me and Arjun go to the house and get everything ready.
Arjun: Masi Maa, Rohan Bhai and Surbhi Bhabi can help us.
Sandhya: That’s great.
Dadaji: I’ll come so Ayush isn’t alone.
NK: Me and Nirmala will stay here, I’ll ask if Meghna can home today or not.
They all left and made the arrangements while NK and Nirmala were waiting.
5 hours later and still no baby.
NK: How long do you think it’ll take?
Nirmala smiled: You’re impatient.
NK; To meet my grandchild yes.
Nirmala: Maybe another hour?

Another hour went by and the nurses came out to tell them.
Nurse: First baby is a girl.
Nirmala and NK hugged each other and smiled.
Nirmala: Wait… first baby?
NK: There’s more than 1?
Nurse smiled: There’s 2.
Another 20 minutes later and the nurse came.
Nurse: Baby boy next.
Nirmala: Can we see Meghna?
Nurse: Just wait for a few minutes.
NK: Okay.
Nirmala: Twins!?
NK: I know, very exciting.

In the room Meghna was lying down and Kunal held her hand.
Kunal: You did great.
Meghna: Thank you for being here.
Kunal: Where else would I be?
Meghna smiled.
Kunal: Can you believe it? Twins!
Meghna laughed: How are they?
Kunal: They’re over there.
Kunal pointed at the incubators.
Meghna: Where is everyone?
Kunal: Only Mom and Dad are here, they’re outside.
Meghna: Call them in please.
Just then NK and Nirmala walked in. Nirmala walked to Meghna and kissed her forehead.
Nirmala: Congratulations, two healthy and happy babies.
NK hugged his son.
NK: Father of 2 Kunal.
Kunal: Feels great Dad.
NK kissed Meghnas forehead.
NK: Congratulations Betaa.
Meghna: Thank you Maa, Papa.
NK: We haven’t told anyone about the twins.
Kunal: Let’s keep it a surprise.
Nirmala: Meghna will stay the night.
Kunal: I’ll stay with her.
Meghna: You don’t need to.
Kunal: I want to.
NK: We should go then, it’s really late and Meghna you need rest.
Nirmala hugged her daughter-in-law and then son.
Nirmala: See you both in the morning.
Kunal: Bye Mom and Dad.
Meghna: Bye.
NK and Nirmala went home.
