Part 43:
2 hours later they got to Meghnas house.
Sharda opened the door and saw her daughter and son-in-law holding their children, Vishal went to get the luggage.
Kunal: Thank You Vishal.
Vishal: It’s okay Jeeju.
Sharda: Come inside.
Everyone but Vaibhu were sat in the main living area.
Meghna gave Maahir to Choti Maa and then hugged Sharda.
Sharda: What’s wrong Ghudiya?
They all sat down and Kunal explained everything.
Bade Mama: Why would NK Ji do that?
Kunal: I don’t know.
Meghna was sitting with her mother.
Badi Mami: Well , stay here for as long as you need.
Chote Mama: Yeah, Vishal come let’s go and get Meghus room cleaned.
Kunal: Chote Mama, don’t be silly. I’ll go.
Choti Mami: Kunal, you sit, I’ll get something for you both. You’ve had a long journey.
Chote Mama and Vishal went upstairs, Choti Mami gave Maahir to Badi Mami and then got drinks for Meghna and Kunal.
Kunal handed Kaira to Choti Mami.
Sharda: Bhabi? Do we have baby cots for the twins?
Bade Mami: I think we do.
Bade Mama: I’ll go and get them.
Kunal: We’re sorry for causing so much trouble…
Sharda: No Kunal, this is you home as much as it is ours.
Kunal smiled: Thank you Maa.
The babies were asleep and both Mamis went to Meghna and Kunals room and put them into the cots that Vishal and Chote Mama along with Bade Mama put up.
Sharda: Ghudiya, Kunal you should got to sleep.
Meghna: Okay Mumma.
She hugged her mother and they both went up.
Meghna sat on her bed while Kunal went to freshen up.
There was a knock on the door. Meghna wiped her tears away and opened the door to see Bade Mama.
Bade Mama put his hand forward am which was full of ilichis.
Meghna laughed: Mamu!
She hugged him.
Bade Mama: Shh… everything will be fine.
Meghna let go and held his hand.
Meghna: Come in.
They both sat in the bed.
Bade Mama: Meghna Betaa, things will be better okay? You’ve got Kunal with you and the abates and all of us.
Meghna: I know Mamu.
Bade Mama: If your father was here, he’d be proud of the woman you’ve become and the family you have; Kaira and Maahir along with Kunal. He’d be very happy.
Meghna smiled: I’m happy I have you all Mamu, you’ve always been my Baba and I miss him a lot.
Bade Mama: I miss him too. Now you get some rest, it’s been a long day.
Meghna: Goodnight Mamu.
Bade Mama: Goodnight Meghna.
Bade Mama left the room.
Meghna was sat on her bed and opened her drawer. She took a family photo out: her mother, father, Chiku and her. It was when they were younger. She touched the photo.
Meghna: If only you were here Baba.
Kunal came and sat next to her.
Kunal: Is that Papa?
Meghan smiled and nodded then handed the photo to Kunal.
Kunal: I haven’t seen him once in the last 2 years of our marriage.
Meghna: When I feel my lowest I talk to him and I haven’t felt like that in a long time.
Kunal held Meghnas hand: I’m sure Papa wants his little Ghudiya to be strong and never feel low.
Meghna: He would.
Kunal: He’s watching you now Meghna, and do you know what he’s thinking?
Meghna: That I’m lucky to have you all.
Kunal: Exactly.
Meghna: Especially you Kunal.
She out her head on his chest and Kunal held her.
Meghna: My everything.
Kunal: Meghna , I will never leave you. I love you so much that I can’t tell you with words or anything else.
Meghna: I know Kunal. What you did tonight showed me how much you love me and I know as we’re together we’ll be just fine.
Kunal: That’s right, I’ve got you and my babies, then two families who will always be there for us.
Meghna smiled.
Meghna: Kunal, can I ask you something?
Kunal smirked: Sure Ghudiya.
Meghna: What will we do in the meantime?
Kunal: I’ll get a job on Monday and then we work from there.
Meghna: It won’t be easy.
Kunal: I know, I’ve saved some money that I’ve earned so I can use that to maybe do something.
Meghna smiled: I’ve also saved, we can do it together.
Kunal smiled back: Sounds great Meghna.
Later they both went to sleep.
Tell next morning at Chauhan house:
Normally Meghna and Naina both do the Puja but today Naina woke up and did it, while everyone else slowly came. They had their breakfast in silence and headed to their rooms after that. Naina was downstairs by herself.
Naina: How do I get everything back to normal? More like how do I get everyone to talk. Everyone has been avoiding each other since yesterday’s events and I don’t know what to do.
Naina then heard something drop in the study. She went to check and saw NK throwing things.
Naina: Papa?
NK: Where is the (xyz) file.
Naina: Di was handling it…
Just then Naina got a phone call from Meghna.
Naina: Di?
Meghna: Chiku, I forgot that Papa needed the (xyz) file, it’s on the top black shelf in the study.
Naina: Thanks Di.
Meghna: I was meant to show Papa today morning but… well I’ll call you later okay?
Naina: Okay Di.
Naina hung up and then got the file and gave it to NK.
Naina: Di called and told me where it was.
NK heard but chose to not say anything.
Naina: Isn’t that funny? You were looking for something and Di called to let me know where it was.
NK: I don’t see what’s funny about that.
Karan: Of course you don’t.
Karan was standing at the door. Naina and NK both looked at him.
Karan: The funny part was that you never know how important someone is until they’re gone. This is the perfect example, Bhabi is gone and she is very important, not just to you but everyone. Naina, could you come with me?
Naina: Sure.
The two left the room
Naina: Is everything okay?
Karan: Yeah, I was calling because we’re all facetiming Bhai, Bhabi and the rest upstairs so let’s go.
Naina smiled and they both headed up to the rest of the family.
Meghna an Kunal were. Airtime get with everyone in front of Vishals laptop talking to everyone in the Chauhan house. Meghna seemed a little tense but didn’t show it but Naina looked her Di and saw that she wasn’t feeling herself.
Sharda: Bauji, Nirmala Ji, I know what happened was uncalled for.
Dadaji: Betaa Ji, you don’t worry too much. Kunal and Badi Bahu will be home soon I know it.
Kunal and Meghna exchanged looks as thy knew soon wasn’t going to really be soon.
Sandhya: We know they’re safe and in good hands.
They spoke for a little longer and then went back to their own things.
Karan was in his room, looking at a photo of him, Naina, Meghna and Kunal in their wedding day. It was a few photos in one. He smiled at it.
Naina and then came and sat next to him, holding his arm putting her head on his arm.
Naina: What are you thinking about?
Karan smiled: The good days.
Naina: They’ll be back.
Karan: I want it to come quick.
Naina: A little patience Karan.
Karan: Of course.
Kunal was walking around with Vishal and went to the place where he and Meghna had gotten married.
Vishal: Jeeju, that’s for sale you know?
Kunal: Really?
Vishal: Yeah, but there aren’t any buyers so they might break it down.
Kunal thought to himself.
Kunal: Who do I talk to if I want to buy it?
Vishal: You want to buy it?
Kunal smiled.
Kunal and Vishal got home and then went to Sharda and Meghna who were sat in the living area cutting vegetables.
Kunal: Meghna?! Maa?!
Meghna: What’s wrong?
They both sat next to the women.
Vishal: Nothings wrong, actually more exciting.
Sharda smiled: What is it?
Kunal: I want to buy the venue me and Meghna got married in.
Meghna smiled: Kunal?
Kunal nodded.
Meghna: You want to…?
Kunal: Yes Meghna!
Meghna was very happy.
Sharda: Aree, will someone tell me what you want to do.
Kunal&Meghna&Vishal: Start a wedding business!
They said together.
Sharda smiled: That’s sounds great!
Kunal: Yes Maa, you know the best thing is?
Sharda: What’s that?
Kunak: The fact that people’s dream will come true where mine came true as well.
Meghna: See Mumma, such a romantic!
They all laughed.
Sharda: So when are you going to buy it?
Vishal: Me and Jeeju will go tomorrow and make an offer.
Kunal: If all goes well we should have the place next week.
Meghna: This is going to be so exciting! We have a lot of experience planning events so I think we’ll do fine.
Kunal held Meghnas hand: So do I!
Meghna called Naina and told them about their plan.
Naina: That’s great do but if you start that then that means you’ll stay for a long time.
Meghna: Chiku, me and Kunal don’t think we’ll be home in a long time.
Naina: Di?
Meghna: I don’t know when we’ll be back but I know we will.
Naina: We’ll be waiting.
Meghna: Bye Chiku.
Naina: Bye Di.
Meghna hundreds the phone and out it on the table.
Meghna spoke to herself: Chiku, a long time may be years and years.
