NOTE:::❤Hi guys! I just wanted to start this with a little something. I just wanted to say thank you, thank you for the positive and encouraging words. Lately I’ve been feeling upset with life but there a few things that make me feel better. One of those things is writing for you and the other is reading everything you guys say! Part 46:
The next morning Meghna and Kunal woke up. They were siting in bed with their babies.
Kunal was playing with Kaira.
Kunal: Daddy’s little princess! You’re just a cutie.
Meghna laughed as Kunal spoke and Kaira just giggled and spoke back to him in baby language.
Meghna: You’re both cute.
She picked up Maahir in the air.
Meghna: Look Maahir, Mummas taking you up high!
Maahir giggled.
They had their babies on their lap and someone knocked on the door.
Vishal: May I come in?
Kunal: Come in Vishal.
Vishal walked in and saw a perfect little family, he pulled his phone out and then snapped a photo.
Vishal: Definitely one for the photo album.
Meghna: Good Morning and thank you Vishal.
Vishal: A very good morning to you too.
Kunal: Someone is very happy today.
Vishal sat on the bed and smiled. Kaira crawled the him and he picked her up.
Vishal: Because of this little cutie and something else.
Meghna: What is that?
Vishal: Why don’t you get fresh and ready to come downstairs and you’ll find out.
Kunal: Okay.
Vishal: See you guys downstairs in a bit.
Kunal and Meghna walked down with the babies and then saw everyone downstairs.
Meghna smiled: You’re all here!?
Karan, Naina, Khyati and Arjun turned around from their seats and got up to go to Meghna and Kunal. Dadaji, Nirmala, NK and Sandhya got up from their seats and smiled at the couple. Sharda was sanding with Nirmala.
Kunal: What are you guys doing here?
Arjun: You’re not happy to see us?
Kunal: Not everyone.
Kunal looked at NK.
Meghna: Kunal.
Karan and Naina took the babies. Meghna and Kunal took all the elders blessings.
Bade Mama: They’re here to take you home.
Kunal: Bade Mama, this our home now.
Sharda: Kunal, you need to hear what they have to say.
NK explained everything and at the end her folded his hands in front of Meghna and KUNAL who held his hand to stop.
Meghna: Papa?!
NK: Please forgive me!
Kunal: Dad, please don’t fold your hands in front of us.
NK: I can’t believe I made this mistake.
Meghna: It wasn’t your fault.
NK: It is Meghna, I didn’t listen to my own children.. I… I don’t know…
Kunal: Dad, it’s okay. We know you’ve realised your mistake and that’s all we wanted.
Everyone smiled.
NK hugged Kunal and Meghna
NK: I don’t know what I did to deserve to have children like you.
Khyati: Dad? What about us?
NK: I mean all of you, Kunal, Meghna, Karan , Naina, Khyati and Arjun.
Dadaji: We’re all lucky to have each other.
After the small reunion the two families were sat together in her living area talking and having fun. The twins were playing with everyone and everything was just perfect. Laughter was in the air. Meghna, Sharda and Naina were in the kitchen.
Meghna: Thank you Mumma.
Sharda: For what Ghudiya.
Naina: For being our Mumma.
Meghna: For always showing us the right path.
Naina: Being our great teacher of life.
Sharda held her daughters hands: My duty, just like it is yours.
Naina: Not yet for me.
Meghna: When will you be a mother Naina?
They all laughed while Naina grew shy.
Naina: Di!
Meghna: Chiku!
Kunal came: Ghudiya!
They looked at Kunal. Sharda and Naina smiled while Meghna squinted her eyes.
Meghna: What do you want?
Kunal: I need to talk to you.
Meghna: I’ll be right back.
She and Kunal went to their room.
Meghna: What’s wrong?
Kunal: I was wondering what we’ll do with the business we have here, I have an idea but…
Meghna: But what?
Kunal: I don’t know if he’ll like it.
Meghna smiled: Is he Vishal?
Kunal smiled back: Yep.
Meghna: I guess we need to ask and find out.
Kunal and Meghna went downstairs and pulled Vishal to one side.
Vishal: What’s up guys?
Meghna: Since we’re leaving we needed to give you something.
Kunal: We know you can handle it.
Vishal: Guys, you’re getting me a little scared.
The both laughed.
Kunal: We want you to run the Wedding planning service.
Vishal: Me?!
Meghna: Yes you! Vishal you’ve handled everything so well.
Vishal: I don’t think I can, this is your business.
Kunal: It’s ours, Vishal. The whole family’s. If it wasn’t for you this wouldn’t be anything.
Meghna: You did a lot of work and you put a lot of effort into this.
Vishal: But by myself.
Kunal: Me and Meghna will come by every month or so to come and help.
Meghna: And you have Bade&Chote Mamu to help and you can hire a few people.
Vishla: Guys, this is big.
Kunal smiled: We know and we also know you can do it.
Vishal: Thank you.
Meghna: Thank YOU.
Vishal hugged them both and the three went back to share the good news.
It was 2 pm and they were getting ready to leave for Jaipur.
Meghna: Thank you everyone, for everything.
Bade Mama: No Meghna, no thank you or sorrys to family.
Kunal: Maa, Bade Mamu, Bade Mami, Choti Mamu, Choti Mami, you’ve a been great the last month and a half. We wouldn’t be here if you didn’t take us in.
Sharda: Don’t be silly Kunal.
Choti Mama: This house is yours as it is ours.
They bid farewell to everyone set off home.
Back at the Chauhan house everyone freshened up and sat together. It was 7pm and the babies fell asleep. Kunal and Meghna took them to their room.
Kunal: I need to change my t- shirt because Maahir vomited all over me.
Meghna laughed.
Kunal went into getting washroom. Meghna put them in their cot but Kaira woke up. She sat with her in her lap. Meghna saw Karan pass their room and few times and then called out to him.
Meghna: Karan!
Karan walked in.
Karan : Jee Bhabi? You called?
Meghna smiled: Karan, you passed this room 5 times in the last two minutes. What’s up?
Karan walked and sat next to Meghna.
Karan: It’s nice seeing this room not empty and with you and the babies and Bhai in here.
Meghna smiled: It’s good to be back Karan.
Kunal walked out.
Kunal: Yaar! I will run out of clean T-shirt if they keep vomiting over me.
Karan: Ew!
Kunal: I don’t care though, they can vomit on me anytime. My little angels.
Karan smiled at his older brother.
Karan: I’ll leave you guys to it then.
Meghna: We’ll see you for dinner downstairs.
Karan nodded and left.
As he walked he was thinking to himself: Having hold rent really changes everyone. For Bhai, as soon as Bhabi came into his life he’s been happier and I don’t think he’ll be any happier. Bhai and BHABI are lucky to have each other as well as the twins. I have Naina and I hope to have children one day just to complete the happiness I have.
He bumped into Naina as he was walking.
Naina held his arms.
Naina: Mr? Where are you lost?
Karan smiled at Naina.
Naina raised her eyebrows up and down.
Naina: Kya hua?
Karan moved a strand of hair away from Nainas face.
Karan: I was just thinking.
Nainna: About?
Karan: Happiness. You.
Naina smiled.
Naina: You’re cute.
Karan chuckled.
Naina: Dinner is ready so get down.
Naina let Karan go and walked to Meghna and Kunals room.
Karan saw his life walk away from him.
After everyone had dinner they went into their rooms. Naina saw NK walked into the study.
Naina: Karan, why is Papa still going to that study?
Karan: Work?
Naina: All the time?
Karan: I don’t really know. But I know what’s bugging me.
Naina: What?
Karan: The day Raj uncle and Nandini Auntie came with Nikhil to see Khyati, after they left saying they didn’t want anything to do with this family, why did Dad say that this Rishta had to be fixed?
Naina: We should ask him.
Karan: Do you think he’ll give us an answer?
Naina: Only one way to find out.
Karan: Okay then.
They both walked into the study.
NK looked at the door.
NK: What are you both doing here now?
Naina: Papa, we had a question.
NK: What is it?
Karan: Dad, why did you say that Nikhil and Khyati had to get married.
NK didn’t say anything for a few seconds.
NK: The truth is, that I wanted Khyati to go to a house where she would be able to call home, Raj is my best friend and I thought his son would be more like him. I guess I was wrong.
Karan: Is that all?
NK nodded yes: Your Dadu and Dadu wanted me to give Khyati to a good family. I promised I would.
Naina: Don’t worry Papa, Khyati will get married to a man with a good family.
NK: Thank you Naina.
Naina: Goodnight Papa.
Nak: Goodnght you two.
Karan: Goodnight.
The couple left the room and saw Kunal and Meghna.
Meghna: Hey, what are you guys doing?
Naina: Just was speaking to Papa.
Kunal: About?
Karan explained.
Karan: He’s lying.
Naina: You say that with some much confidence.
Karan: Bhai, he was doing that thing with his glasses.
Kunal: What? Taking it off and putting it back on a gazillion times as he talks to you?
Karan laughed: Yep.
Naina: That’s how you know he’s lying?
Meghna: Just like Mumma, well she pulls her ear when she’s lying.
Naina: Yeah!
Karan: Bhabi? What does Naina do when she lies?
Naina: I won’t tell Jeeju if you don’t.
Meghna laughed: Deal.
Kunal: Naina, I’ll tell you what Karan does!
Karan: Bhai! Fine Bhabi, I’ll tell you what Bhai does.
Meghna&Naina: You both do the same thing!
Meghna and Naina demonstrated what they do, they rubbed the tip of their nose and scratched their eyebrow.
Kunal&Karan: We both do the same thing.
Meghan and Naina laughed.
Kunal: Can’t believe you were gunna tell.
Karan: You jumped first.
Kunal: Whatever. The question is what is Dad hiding?
Naina: There has to be some clue in the study, he’s always in there.
Karan: Everyone since you guys left.
Meghna: Looks like we have another mission.
Kunal: We really are the next best team for solving mysteries.
Karan: Yeah! We are.
Meghna&Naina: Dorks.
They walked off together with their husbands following behind.
