Part 51:
It was Sunday, mothers day. Meghna walked up and saw it was 4am. She felt Kunals chin on her shoulder all snuggled up into her neck. She smiled and slowly moved herself. She got up and then freshened up a little and then went to NK and Nirmalas room which was opened. She swas I’m aka sleeping but NK was no where to be seen. She took Nirmalas blessings and kissed her forehead.
Meghna: Happy mothers day Maa.
She left the room and went down, she smelled something burning. She ran to the kitchen and saw NK.
Meghna: Papa?
Nak: Badi Bahu! Thank God you’re here!
Meghna came and took the toast out if the tower and cleaned up.
NK: I wanted to make breakfast in bed for Nirmala.
Meghna: Papa, is only 4 am.
NK: I’ve never been in the kitchen.
Meghna: I’ll help you.
Kunal and Karan were standing behind her.
Kunal: No Meghna, well help Dad.
Karan: Yeah Bhabi, you back up and rest.
Meghna: But…
Naina then popped out.
Naina: Di, you go now.
Meghna: Atcha Baba, I’ll go.
Meghna went to Khyatis room and checked on the babies who were still sleeping.
Khyati woke up and saw Meghna.
Khyati: Good Morning Bhabi.
Meghna: Good Morning, did I wake you up?
Khyati: Nope, I have to get up now.
Meghna: Why?
Khyati: No reason.
She lied.
Khyati: Why don’t you come with me to Mom’s room.
Meghna: Come.
Meghna and Khyati went to Nirmalas room and saw her sat up.
Nirmala: Good Morning girls.
Khyati hugged her Mom.
Khyati: Happy mothers day!
Nirmala: Thank you.
Meghna sat next to Nirmala.
They sat there for another 2 hours and then we’re told to get ready and go down.
Nirmala and Meghna were walking and merry Sandhya.
Sandhya: What are they all up to?
Nirmala: I have no idea.
They three women walked down and saw the whole downstairs decorated and saw “Happy Mother’s day” banner hung up, there were flowers on the dining table and breakfast ready.
Dadaji: Come on down mothers, take a seat.
The three of them took Dadajis blessing and sat down.
Kunal, Karan, Naina, Khyati and Arjun wished Nirmala and Sandhya a happy mothers day and gave them their gifts.
Meghan sat there admiring them.
Karan went to Meghna.
Karan: Happy Mothers day Bhabi.
Meghna smiled: Thank you Karan.
Naina: Di, your two little babies couldn’t do anything for you this year but in a few years time they’ll be making the cutest cards.
Meghna laughed.
Kunal kissed Meghnas forehead.
Arjun: Meghna Bhabi, you may be our Bhabi but you’ve come to this house as..
Karan: As a mother as well, it’s cheesy but you’ve taken care of us and showed us so much love.
Meghna started tearing up.
Meghna: You guys!
She hugged them all.
Khyati: Bhabi!!!
After all the hugs thy all had breakfast and we’re chatting and taking pictures.
Karan and NAINA were taking the plates into the kitchen.
Karan: They all liked our surprise. Especially Bhabi.
Naina: I’m happy theyre happy.
Karan: Me too.
They walked back into the dining area and saw their perfect family.
The next week was busy, Meghna and Naina had worked from home while planning the engagement and sangeet ceremony that was taking good place on Friday evening.
It was Tuesday evening and everyone was sat down in the living area.
Khyati: So guys I want you all to dance.
Arjun: Together?
Khyati: No, in pairs or trios.
Kunal: I’ve got an idea, Naina?
Naina: Yes Jeeju?
Kunal: How about you and I dance?
Naina smiled: I would love to.
Naina and Kunal high fived.
Arjun: Oh! Meghna Bhabi, Karan Bhai and I can team up.
Karan : Good idea Arjun!
Khyati: Are we going to make a competition out of it?
Kunal: Nah Khyati, it’ll be unfair cause me and Naina are the better dancers
Meghna: Really? Why don’t you out your money where your mouth is and bring this competition on.
Dadaji laughed
Sandhya: Well, you kids don’t have long to practice.
Nirmala: Sandhya’s right, why don’t you start practicing.
The five of them got up.
Naina: May the best team win.
Karan: We will.
They all headed upstairs and went to Meghnas room.
Kunal: What are you guys doing here?
Meghna: We’re going to practice here, what are you doing?
Kunal: Me and Naina will practice here.
Arjun: Meghna Bhabi, we can practice in my room.
Meghna squinted her eyes at Kunal and the 3 of them left.
Arjuns room:
Karan: So Bhabi? What will we perform to?
Meghna: You guys can choose the song.
Arjun: I’ve got an idea!
Kunal&Meghnas room:
Kunal: That’s a great song to dance to Naina.
Naina: Thanks Jeeju, so let’s watch the video and get some inspiration from it.
Kunal: Perfect.
Arjuns room:
Meghna: Do you think we can re-create the video?
Karan: We’ll do the main part and the rest we’ll make our own dance moves.
Arjun: That won’t be too hard since I love dancing.
They all laughed.
Kunal&Meghnas room:
Kunal: Okay let’s start!
Both groups were starting to practice and get a feel for what they wanted to perform in three days time. It was dinner time and everyone came together.
NK: How is practice going?
Karan: Very good.
Arjun: Yep our performance will be awesome.
Khyati: Guys, you’re not doing only one performance.
Kunal: What do you mean?
Khyati: You guys made it a competition so each of you will perform and if you’re already doing a group dance that’s great.
Naina: So me and Jeeju will do one dance and by ourselves we’ll have to do another dance?
Khyati: Yeah, it’ll be a great competition.
Kunal: Great!
Karan: Bhai, already feel like giving up?
Naina: No, are you?
Karan: No, just worried about how Bhai will manage to dance twice in one day.
They all laughed.
Kunal: I’m a good dancer.
Arjun: And pigs can fly.
Naina: Arjun!
They all laughed.
Sandhya: I think you guys need more practicing time.
Meghna: You’re right, guys we’ll take the garden cause well need space.
Kunal: We can take the living area.
Karan: Come on guys let’s go.
Karan and Meghna got up.
Naina: Yeah Jeeju let’s go.
Arjun was about to take a spoonful of his food but Karan held him.
Arjun: My food!
Karan and Meghna held Arjun and they went into the garden. While Kunal and Naina went into the living room.
Everyone else laughed as they watched them into different directions.
Sandhya: Khyati?
Khyati: Yes Masi Maa?
Sandhya: This whole competition idea?
Khyati laughed: Don’t worry guys, just a little fun!
Dadaji: This will definitely be fun.
NK: You’re right Babuji.
