Part 62:
An hour later Naina went upstairs to her room. Nikhil came down and left the house.
Kunal: So what did you guys want to say?
Arjun: Should I go first?
Vishal: Go ahead.
Arjun: Thanks, well guys. Yesterday nnight Arohi texted me saying she can’t see me anymore.
Vishal: Arohi?
Kunal: Arjuns crush.
Meghna: And someone else.
Arjun: Who?
Kunal and Meghna explained everything to Vishal and Arjun. About Trishna and Nikhil, how they saw Trishna with a man who might be Arohi’s father.
Vishal: All this and been happening?
Arjun: That sick thing is Arohis half brother!?
Kunal: Yes, it’s all very long. We found out everything a few days ago and have been trying to see what they’re up to.
Meghna: And now all of this has happened.
Vishal: Which must be part of some plan.
Arjun: Why do you say that?
Vishal: I was going to tell you guys that yesterday night I got up to ge a glass of water and then I saw Nikhil wake up as well. I passed their room and saw Chiku sleeping on the floor and then I saw Nikhil go back and sleep on the sofa. I hid when I saw them and then Chiku got up to close the door when Nikhil didn’t.
Arjun: He left the door open?
Vishal: He’s dumb.
Kunal: We know that.
Meghna: So that means it’s a charade, their marriage.
Vishal: We don’t know that for sure.
Arjun: How can we find out?
Meghna: I’ve asked Chiku myself but she didn’t say anything because Nikhil was standing behind me.
Kunal: We’ll need you to talk to her alone, outside the house.
Vishal: If Chiku is only listening to what Nikhil is telling her then…
Arjun: We’ll need to get Nikhils phone and text her.
Meghna: Good idea guys, but how will we get it?
Kunal: We can’t get it just like that, I know when we can.
Arjun: When?
Kunal: When’s the only time you don’t have your phone?
Arjun: When I’m showering.
Kunal: Exactly, we’ll make a situation which will make him get into the shower and he won’t take his phone in and that’s when we’ll grab it.
Meghna: You’re not as stupid as you look.
Kunal: Excuse me!
Vishal: Ghudiya!
Arjun high fived Meghna.
Meghna: Okay guys, this is what we’ll do….
It was evening time and everyone was sitting in the living area. Naina was sitting with Nikhil at the dining table.
Vishal walked in with a glass of juice, Meghna signalled him with a thumbs up. Vishal pretended to trio and dropped the juice all over Nikhil.
Vishal: I’m so sorry (!)
He said half heartedly.
Nikhil: Why don’t you watch where you’re going.
Vishal (mind): Oh I watched alright. I headed where I needed to head.
Naina: Nikhil, calm down. You can just go and wash up.
Nikhil: Ugh! I’ll have to shower to make are I don’t sleep feeling slickly at night.
Nikhil went upstairs into his room, he dropped his phone onto the bed, took out a fresh set of clothes and went into the shower.
Kunal and Arjun walked in and took the phone. They went in next door to Vishal room to meet Vishal and Meghna.
Meghna: Got it?
Kunal showed them the phone.
Arjun: There’s a password.
Kunal: What would it be?
Meghna: Someone’s birthday?
Kunal tred Nikhils birthday but it was wrong.
Kunal: What about someone else’s birthday.
Arjun: Like who?
Meghna: Sadna! His ex girlfriend.
Kunal: Di you know her birthday?
Vishal: 10th April
The other three looked at Vishal.
Arjun: How do you know.
Meghna: Sadna is Nainas friend but I didn’t know you knew her THAT we’ll.
Vishal: Well… actually… Chiku would always drag me around to get her a birthday present.
Kunal: Atcha?
Kunal said while smirking in a teasing manner.
Vishal: Jeeju!
Arjun: Seems like you have a good memory.
Vishal: I’m a doctor, of course I do!
Meghna: Let’s put a pause on teasing Vishal and try the password.
Kunal typed in 1004. They had access.
Arjun: We don’t have much time guys.
Kunal quickly sent a message to Nainas phone and then deleted the thread.
Kunal: He didn’t have a previous chat with Naina.
Vishal: He might have deleted it.
Meghna: Check his recent call logs.
Kunal checked, he saw all outgoing calls to Naina and then a few other numbers.
Kunal: Arjun, take a picture of all of these.
Arjun quickly took pictures.
Meghna: We’ll look a those later, now Kunal you need to take the phone back.
Kunal left the room and put the phone back to where they found it.
Meghna, Vishal and Arjun went downstairs.
It was the evening Sharda was sitting in the garden with Nirmala.
Sharda: I don’t know what’s happening.
Nirmal held Shardas hand.
Nirmala: Sharda Ji, no one knows.
Sharda: My Chiku wouldn’t ever do what she did.
Nirmala: We all know that Naina loves Karan, she wouldn’t hurt him without a reason.
Sharda: Then why?
Nirmala: Only time will tell.
Karan watched his two mothers sat together talking. He walked over to them.
Sharda: Karan?
Nirmala: Take a seat.
Karan kneeled down in front of them both.
Karan: I’ve decided to leave the house.
Nirmala: What! Karan what are you saying?
Sharda: Betaa, you can’t.
Karan: Mom, Maa, I can’t stay in the same house with the person that hurt me and my family.
Nirmala: Karan, please don’t.
Karan: I’ve made my decision.
Nirmala had tears in her eyes.
Karan got up and walked in the house, Nirmala and Sharda followed him. Everyone else was sitting in the living room and they saw the three of them walk in.
Dadaji: What’s going on?
Karan had walked up the stairs and into his room.
Nirmala: Bauji, Karan said he wants to leave the house.
The words echoed in everyone’s ears.
Naina had a plate in her hand and it dropped out of her hand.
Everyone looked at her.
Naina: What!
Nirmala: You’re happy right?
Kunal held his mother’s hand: No Mom, don’t…
Nirmala: No Kunal! She did this!
Dadaji was feeling dizzy, Meghna saw and ran to him.
Meghna: Dadu!
NK held his dad and helped him sit down.
NK: Babuji, please have some water.
Sandhya gave NK a glass and NK gave it to his dad.
Dadaji drank the water.
Everyone but Naina and Nikhil sat around Dadaji.
Dadaji: He can’t go.
Naina: He won’t go.
NK: What will you do?
Naina: I’ll stop him.
NK: How?
Naina: I have my ways.
Naina walked upstairs and went into Karans room. Karan saw Naina standing in his room as he packed his suitcase.
Karan: What are you doing here?
Naina: Just glad to see you packing.
Karan: Well you’ve seen me and now you can go.
Naina: Never knew you were that weak. Like I thought you were but this is so weak! It’s a little amusing.
Karan stopped packing and walked to Naina, Nainas back hit there wall and Karan was very close to her.
Karan: I’m not weak.
Naina: You can’t stand the sight of me with my husband.
Karan didn’t say anything.
Naina: A real man would stay and wouldn’t care but I don’t think you can b because you’re not a real man.
Karan stepped away from her and laughed.
Karan: Now that’s amusing.
Karan went to his suitcase and started taking everything out.
Naina: What are you doing?
Karan: I’ve changed my mind.
Naina: What!?
Karan: You want me to go? Well I won’t, I’ll prove to you that I’m not the weak man you once loved.
Nainas eyes started watering.
Naina: Yeah.
Naina quickly turned around and walked out of the room. She stood with her back against the door.
Naina (mind) : Karan! I’ll always love you and you’re not weak! You’re so much stronger than me and I just can’t take this anymore. For the safety of those of love I’m willing to sacrifice this love that I have for a few more days. I’m so sorry for what I’m doing Karan.
Karan was at the door and has back to it.
Karan(mind): I knew you’d come to stop me Naina. You love me and you always will. Our love is never going to go. It will go on forever. I’ll find out why you’re doing what you’re doing. Naina, my heart has nothing but love for you.
