Part 76:

While Aman was eating he was feeding Naina , Karan saw this and felt a little jealous.
Karan spoke to himself: They’re just friends
Meghna saw Karan standing there and walked to him.
Meghna: Karan?
Karan: Haan Bhabi, what’s up?
Meghna: Why are you standing there like a statue.
Karan smiled: No reason.
Meghna looked over to where Karan was looking.
Meghna: Why don’t you go to Naina?
Karan: She’s with her friends.
Meghna: So?
Karan: I don’t want to intrude.
Meghna: Karan, you’re her husband.
Karan smiled: You’re right.
Meghna: Of course I am, I’m your Bhabi.
Karan: Thank you.
Karan walked to Naina and wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. Meghna smiled and walked off.
Naina: Hey there stranger!
Karan: Hey.
They spent some time together, mostly Naina and Aman talking with Sadna and Vishal whilst Karan just held onto Naina who was holding onto him as well.

The party was slowly coming to an end and everyone was leaving.
The Boondi family had been dropped off by the drivers, but before they went they fixed Vishal and Sadnas wedding. It would take place in 2 weeks Sadna parents were very happy that their daughter would be going off to a very good family.
Aman was standing with Sadna, they were talking and Karan could hear them as he stood at a distance.
Sadna: You miss her?
Aman: Yeah.
Sadna: You should tell Naina.
Aman: No, it’s not right.
Sadna: She’ll understand and will be able to help you.
Aman: I can’t, I can’t out myself in that position again. I can’t put Naina through it either.
Sadna: Will you be okay?
Aman smiled softly: I’ll try.

Karan stood there wondering about what Aman and Sadna were talking about, more importantly who were they talking about.
Naina came to Karan.
Naina: What’s wrong Karan?
Karan: Huh? Nothing, just thinking about the wedding.
Naina: Very exciting!
Karan smiled: It is.
Naina: Did you see Aman?
Karan: Why?
Naina: Actually he’ll be staying over at ours until the wedding is over.
Karan: What? Why?
Naina laughed: His parents are away and I can’t have him staying at a hotel when we have more than enough room.
Karan: Yeah, that’s true.
Naina: So, did you see him?
Karan: Yeah, he’s over there with Sadna.
Naina: I’ll go and give him the good news.
Naina walked to Aman.
Karan: Good news for you but not so for me.
He saw Aman hug Naina and didn’t know what was between them.
There was something between them wasn’t there? He likes Naina. Or am I over thinking?

It was late night, Karan was still awake and took a walk out into the garden.
He saw Aman sitting there looking at a photo.
Karan: Is that Naina?
Aman looked up and saw Karan looking over his shoulder.
Aman: Naina?
Karan: You like her? Or liked her?
Aman smiled: No Karan, Naina is a very nice girl but I’ve never had feelings for her.
Karan: Then?
Aman: Karan, what’s wrong? Why do you think that I like Naina?
Karan: I overheard you and Sadna talk, you miss someone and…
Aman:… And you thought it was Naina because Sadna told me to talk to Naina.
Karan: Yeah
Aman: Why don’t you take a seat, I’ll explain everything to you.
Karan sat next to Aman.
Aman gave Karan the photo and it was a photo of a girl.
Aman: That’s Sanjana, my girlfriend. My ex girlfriend.
Karan: Ex?
Aman: We were together since class 9, went to college together and then a year before graduation she passed away in an accident.
Karan: I’m so sorry.
Aman: It’s okay, you didn’t know.
Karan: I accused you of…
Aman: You have every right to do so. Naina and I are very close but that’s only because me and Sanjana met through Naina. She’s the one who set us up and then when she left Naina and Sadna together gave me the strength to go on without Sanjana. I can’t believe it’s been 4 years and I can’t forget her.
Karan: Aman, it’s hard letting go. I know you’ll get there soon and if you ever need a friend to talk to and neither Naina or Sadna aren’t there then make always here.
Aman gave Karan a hug.
Aman; Thank you Karan, I appreciate it.
Karan: That’s what friends are for.

Naina was in bed ,she moved her arm onto Karans side of the bed and felt he wasn’t there. She got out of bed and looked for him.
Naina: Where are you Karan?
She went into the bathroom and then looked downstairs. She was about to head upstairs again when she noticed two people sitting in the garden.
Naina: Karan?!
She went into the garden and ran to Karan.
Naina: Karan!
Karan looked back and saw Naina run to him, he got off his seat and Naina crashed into him. She hugged him so tight.
Karan: Naina? Are you okay?
Naina pulled away from the hug.
Naina: Why did you leave me? I was so scared when I didn’t see you next to me, I looked everywhere and you…
Karan cupped Nainas face: Naina, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.
Naina: I know.
Naina saw Aman still sat down and smiling at them.
Naina: Why are you smirking?
Aman: Smiling! At both of you.
Naina: What were you two doing here so late?
Aman: We were talking.
Naina: About?
Karan: Guys stuff.
Naina: What?
Aman: We can’t share it with you.
Karan: Sorry.
Naina: Well I don’t want to know. I want to go back to sleep, come on Karan.
She held his hand.
Karan: Come on then. Aman, head to bed Yaar.
Aman: Sure.
They all walked back in and into their rooms.
