Episode 24
RagLak returned from the market place at late evening… They are all messed up… They both were worried and it was visible from their face… They both were injured… Ragini had her foot and right hand bleeding… Lakshya had an injury on his head and few cuts on left biceps…
They reach the Hecate gate and she gets down his Broomfield… He also gets down and makes it smaller with his wand and puts it in his pocket…
She goes ahead leaving him behind… Lakshya looks at her in disbelief… She is injured so she stumbles…
Lakshya comes to her as they both show their wand to Ficus…
Ficus “What you both have done to yourself…”
Ragini “Not today Ficus… It’s not the time… Will tell you later…”
Ragini says and goes ahead…
Ficus “Go and help her you dumb head… She is injured and will fall any moment…”
Lakshya “Listen I won’t… I offered her help but she showed me attitude… I am not going to do it…”
Ficus “Be a gentleman Junior Maheshwari… She is irritated for it must be paining… Go and help her out… Use your ways…”
Lakshya thinks and goes to her…
He holds her hand to help her walk till hostel…
She glares at him and jerks her hand away… Lakshya looks at her unbelievably…
He again goes to her and holds her wrist… She twists it and jerks him away again… They both are in passage which leads them to Arete… He fumes… He pushes her to the wall and goes near her…
She turns her face away and looks at the side as she doesn’t want that thing to happen again which happened on the first day…
This angers Lakshya even more… He locks her with his arms banging it on the wall furiously… Ragini closes her eyes as he comes more close to her…
Lakshya (low whispering in anger) “Listen don’t throw your attitude like this all around Everytime… It’s not going to work at every place… Just let me drop you to the hostel…”
Ragini (angrily opening her eyes and gritting her teeth but not looking at him) “I don’t need your pity… Ragini Gadodia is capable to take care of herself… That’s my problem how I will go to hostel… Whether by walking or crawling… I will figure it out… You need not worry about it… And get away from me..!!!”
She pushes him away using both her hands… It pained on her injury but she didn’t care… Lakshya is surprised at her strength but then her denial infuriates him more… She was about to go but Lakshya rushes her at her…
Lakshya “You!!!”
He grabs her waist with his one arm takes her uninjured hand back with his other hand as he doesn’t want her to push him again… He pulls her towards him and their chest bangs with each other…
Ragini closes her eyes as everything was again happening as per that day… She doesn’t want that to happen… At least not for now after whatever happened in the Hogsmede alley…
She is a bold girl but such closeness with this guy always makes her heart skip a beat… For she knows he is as similar as her but equally different… She cannot trust her mind with conclusion of the next move of this guy… She has not been able to read his mind… She tried once but she what she saw was her image as how she looks from his eyes… She then feels that her hand has been freed… She doesn’t opens her eyes still and bring her hand on his chiseled chest… She felt his fingers caressing her face… Her heartbeat was increasing… His thumb touched the corner of her lower lip and slowly it traced her lower lips… Her knees felt weak… Her hands which were resting on his chest automatically went up around his neck… She lifts up her face a little… She didn’t intend to… It was all automatic…
As Ragini bangs onto his chest and closes her eyes tightly, Lakshya looks at her face… He is again lost seeing that beautiful face… Her seemed automatically flying by light breeze… Her frowned eyebrows, tightly closed eyes and shivering lips were attracting him… And on top of that,her sandalwood smell… It’s his new addiction from few days… Today morning also he kept himself beside her evertime just for that smell… He was so lost in her… Her lips were shivering… He wanted to touch it but at the same time he didn’t want to leave her waist… He left her hand and was surprised that it automatically came front and rested on his chest… Don’t know what effect this girl has on him… He feels current whenever she touches him… He brought his hand to her face and his finger moved automatically on her smooth skin… All the way from her forehead to her cheeks… Then he touched the corner of her lower lip… He wanted to touch it… His thumb started fulfilling his wish while tracing it… He felt that she was coming more close to him… To his surprise,her hands automatically moved up and encircled around his neck like a garland… It felt good… He held her chin and she lifted her face a little…
Lakshya leaned in towards her lips still looking at it… As he went more near he also closed his eyes… Both them could feel each other’s heartbeat for they were way too close… As Lakshya leans in,Ragini also lifts her face… Their lips touch each other… Both of them get goosebumps… They are about to have their passionate kiss just when Lakshya’s phone vibrates and they both feel it… The vibration brings them back to reality… They both open their eyes and get away from each other… Lakshya didn’t bother to check the phone… He just went to Ragini and picked her up in his arms in bridal style… Ragini was bewildered… She tried to protest… Lakshya didn’t care and started walking… He felt irritated by her constant movements…
Lakshya (without looking at her and walking) “If you won’t stop moving,I swear I will kiss you right here and you can’t even imagine how wild I can go while kissing…!!”
Ragini was shocked at his direct threat… She stopped her movements at once… Lakshya smirks…
Lakshya “Now like a good girl cooperate and hold me properly else you will fall…”
Ragini in her attitude doesn’t listen to him and crosses her arms around her chest making up her mind that she won’t hold him… Lakshya shakes his head unbelievably at her attitude and lifts her even more close to him… Ragini gets a sudden jerk and out of reflex,she encircles her arms around his neck… She then realizes what she did and what he did… She fumes while Lakshya has a smirk on his face… He carries her all the way to common room even though he had cuts on his arms… But he was more concerned for Ragini as she hand severe injury on her foot… As both of them enter the common room,their friends are shocked seeing them in that position and condition….
Lakshya puts Ragini down carefully and puts her injured leg up on the table… Swara and Aisha run to Ragini…
Swara “Ragu!! How you got hurt?? Lakshya what happened to both of you??”
Sanskar “Yaa… You both went to Hogsmede alley for the ingredients then how come you both are in this condition… And Lucky!! You weren’t even replying to my messages…”
Rohan “Guys… Let them breath… Aisha plz bring the first aid box for now as we don’t know the healing charm… They are badly injured…”
Aisha nods and is about to go to bring the box when a voice stops them… They look at Durgaprasad as he enters the common room…
DP “No need… Their treatment will be done in Principal’s chamber along with the interrogation… Principal Gadodia has called both of them right now in her chamber…”
Swara and Ragini gulp hearing Dadi’s name… Both look at each other tensed…
DP looks at injured Lakshya… He is pained to see him thus but Lakshya won’t allow him to shower his care and concern on him so he makes himself strong…
DP “Both of you, report to the Principal’s Chamber… Now!! (To Lakshya,strenly) And yes… Help her… Her foot is injured… She can’t walk properly for now…”
Lakshya nods… Ragini feels the coldness between the father and son…
All the six get up to go… DP looks at them bewildered…
DP “Only these two are needed..!!”
He goes from there…
Swara “Ragu… After you return from there,I want to know everything that happened… Understood??”
Ragini sees that Swara is in no mood to spare her… She nods vigorously..
Lakshya comes to help her… She jerks away his hand… Lakshya stares at her crossing his arms around his chest… She remembers his threat and looks at the other four people standing there… She loosens her stiff body… Lakshya smirks and carries her all the way out in his arms…
After they are gone… Aisha breaks the silence…
Aisha “These two are unpredictable… Till yesterday,they both were helping each other and today again they are back in their tashan mood… But I am wondering what happened all of a sudden… Everything was well till our classes were over… Today last period was potions and after submitting our team name,we went till the main gate together..—”
FB SHOWS…
RagLak and Aisha come to main gate…
RagLak show their wand to Ficus…
Ficus “You are going now??”
Ragini “Yaa… We will return soon… We need some ingredients for the potions from the alley…”
Ficus nods and the gate opens…
RagLak go out… Aisha stays inside…
Lakshya takes out his broom bike from the pocket… He makes it big and sits on it…
Ragini “I am no way sitting with you… What if you throw me down??”
Aisha “You speak anything Ragu… Sit quietly now…”
Ragini “No… I won’t sit behind him… I want to ride the bike…”
Lakshya “No way!!!! I never let touch it… And you are specially not allowed to touch it…”
Ragini “Fine then… You go by bike, I will walk and reach… Anyways I don’t need favours…”
Lakshya and Aisha look at her in disbelief…
Lakshya “Listen,we need to return today only… Moreover I can’t trust you alone with all the money and list… Come and sit quietly…”
Aisha “Dare not argue Ragu!! Just go and sit else I am calling Swara here…!!”
Ragini (pouts) “I don’t want to sit behind…”
Lakshya “Fine don’t sit behind… (He pulls her using her hands and makes her sit in front… He then holds the handle while locking her with his arms… Ragini is about to say something…) And don’t utter a word else I will make you fall…”
Aisha is little surprised seeing the scene but composes herself… She giggles seeing Ragini pouting angrily and sitting quietly…
Lakshya “Bye Aisha… Inform Bhai and Swara that we will return till late evening… See you later…”
Aisha waves and they fly off in Lakshya’s Broomfield…
FB ENDS…
Aisha “Now I regret not going with them… We knew they were attacked once still I let them go alone…”
Swara “It’s ok Aisha… It’s not your fault… Don’t blame yourself… We never thought that they would be attacked again…”
Sanskar “But we had thought that they won’t be attacked again… But you looked at their condition?? They were injured and Ragini’s foot was bleeding heavily… As if someone was trying to pull her legs… And Lucky… He
has an injury on his head…”
Rohan “Ya… I saw… They both are injured and they both were worried… We were right that they won’t be attacked… But inside the Hecate… As it’s secured and no one is so foolish to breach the security twice at such small intervals… We forgot that they can be attacked outside Hecate too and that too more easily without these securities and all…”
Aisha “Now one thing is sure… That they both are in danger… And that too because of those special wands…”
Sanskar “And from now on,we are never allowing them out of Hecate alone…”
They all nod agreeing to it…
Swara ” Right now I am wondering what will happen in Dadi’s chamber…”
They all get worried…
There Lakshya is carrying Ragini and is walking towards chamber…
Ragini “I should warn you before hand that whenever you are talking to Dadi, don’t you dare think anything else other than what you are saying… She can read minds…”
Lakshya “I know about mind readers… You better take care…”
Ragini “I have successfully passed 18 years of my life living with two mind readers..!! I am warning you before coz we had decided that we won’t reveal anything about the terrace attack to anyone for now…”
Lakshya nods… Ragini also nods… They reach a statue… A large Eagle-horse shaped…
Ragini “I think… We have to sit on it…”
Lakshya looks on in disbelief at her…
Ragini “What?? I never went to her chamber… I don’t know how it operates…”
Lakshya (shaking his head) ” Bow na skéti mageía..!! (Bow to pure magic) (To Ragini) Bow your head..!! (They both bow) ok now… Lift it up… (She does…)”
The eagle horse statue also bows and turns it’s head in front of them… It is revealed that on the top of that statue’s head,stairs are carved which takes them to a door… Lakshya,still carrying Ragini in his arms,walks upon the steps… He reaches the door and asks Ragini to press a button… She does and the door opens… It’s an elevator… Ragini looks on in amazement… They both get in and Ragini presses Principal’s Chamber before Lakshya could say her to do so… Lakshya smiles…
She looks at him for a while and speaks…
Ragini “You can put me down… Even your arms are injured and still you are carrying me from then… It must be hurting… I must be heavy…”
Lakshya (laughs) “Are you kidding me!! You are so light..!! I was wondering infact about to ask you… Are you suffering from malnutrition?? Then I remembered that I am seeing you eating from last three days and you alone eat food equivalent to 4 people’s whole day meal just for your one time meal!!! How do you manage to maintain this figure even after eating like monsters…??”
(I personally feel really jealous of those who manage to maintain their figure even after eating thrice the quantity I eat!!)
Ragini is now glaring him and is ready to swallow him with her eyes “Don’t you dare comment on my food!! Food is my first love!! And I cannot hear a word against my love… My food is my food… None of your food…”
Lakshya was speeches seeing the angry bird in his arms… He immediately mouths sorry as he knows what she is capable of… He didn’t want to take a risk… The door opens and they are in front of the Principal’s Chamber… As they both come in front of it,the door opens by itself… Lakshya enters with Ragini in his arms and looks around the cabin…
Parvati was seated on her chair when RagLak entered her room… She looks at them, in that condition… Unknowingly a smile crepts on her face seeing them like this… Lakshya puts Ragini down on a couch in her cabin and carefully puts her injured leg on it…
Parvati remembers why they were there and goes to them worriedly…
Parvati “Ragu…!! Are you alright??”
Ragini “No Dadi ma… I am not… It’s paining a lot… And this is making me feel irritated and frustrated… ”
Lakshya remembers Ficus’ words and thinks that he was right…
Parvati “Of course it must be paining a lot!! You got hurt for the first time in 18 years!! Let me do your first aid first!!”
Lakshya amazes listening to her…
Lakshya (in mind) “First time?? Does she means that Ragini never got hurt before?? Not a cut!! But how? Do they kept her at home always?? No… But that’s not possible!! She cannot be caged!!”
His chain of thoughts is broken Parvati’s voice…
Parvati “Lakshya… You also sit… You are also injured… (She looks at him) you got hurt on your arm, still you carried her all the way from common room to here??”
Ragini at once looks at him… Lakshya is blushing and trying to hide it so he looks everywhere except at Ragini…. Parvati looks into Lakshya’s eyes hoping to find some answer but Lakshya is smart… He remembered Ragini’s words and didn’t let Parvati find out anything which he didn’t want her to know…
Lakshya “It’s ok… First she is not at all heavy and second she is more injured than me… Infact the foot one was because of me…”
Ragini “No Dadi ma… Infact he got those cuts on his biceps while saving me…”
Parvati just watch them silently worrying for each other… She realizes something and smiles…
DP,Annapurna, Shekhar and Sharmistha enter the chamber… Parvati stands straight… Shekhar,Sharmistha and Annapurna go to their kids… DP wanted to go but can’t… He goes and stands beside Parvati…
Annapurna “Lakshya!! My child!! How you got hurt?? Oh my look you!! Are you ok?? You didn’t get much hurt right???”
Annapurna worriedly kissing his forehead and caressing it…
Sharmistha “Ragu!!! (She hugs her and is tearing…) You are never ever going to let us live in peace… Why you always keep on doing it?? Look now how much I am worried!! Do you feel peace when I cry…”
Ragini shakes her head “No mom… Why are you saying like this… And wait a second!! You cry on every small things!!!!!! I am not the only one to worry you… Even Di and Dad do it…”
Shekhar “Why are you sacrificing me..?? I swear Sumi,I was never with her in her mischieves… And that cake which you baked just for Ma to surprise her,these two girls ate it alone and gave me just one slice although I told them about it… Still I didn’t complained and look at this devil,she is making me a scape goat..!!”
Sharmistha “Shekhar!!”
Shekhar smiles sheepishly… All do so… Sharmistha goes to get first aid…
Shekhar “My princess!! How you got hurt Ragu? No one can hurt you until you wish… Then how come you are so much hurt?? And Lakshya… You are alright right??”
Lakshya “Yes Professor Gadodia… Don’t worry… I am ok… Infact Ragini is the one who got much hurt… And because of me…”
Annapurna “Because of you?? Ragini?? How you got this much injured child??”
Ragini “No VP Maheshwari… I am good… Infact he is the one who got those cuts while saving me…”
Shekhar looks at Lakshya and thanks him… Even Annapurna thanks Ragini…
Sharmistha comes with first aid box and goes to Lakshya first… DP goes and sit at Ragini’s foot… The rest three stand back and look…
Sharmistha points her wand at Lakshya’s biceps “Episkey!!! ”
The wound stops bleeding… But the cuts are still there… She puts some herb paste on it and bandages it… She puts the same herb paste on his forehead and puts a small bandage on it…
Ragini is looking all this as DP does the same to her hand and foot injury…
Ragini “I don’t understand that when you both are using healing spells then why this medicine and bandages and all??”
Shekhar “Ragu… Healing spells doesn’t mean that your wound will heal completely and vanish as if it has never existed… Healing spells are used for stock excessive bleeding… As you know… Excess bleeding is dangerous so it’s important to make the flow of blood stop… After that normal first aid is done so that cuts and wound will heal without any problem…”
DP “Yes Ms. Gadodia but you can change this system… (Ragini and Shekhar look at him) By asking your father to invent an even powerful healing spell… The older one was also invented by him…”
They all laugh… Even Lakshya laughs unknowingly… DP and Annapurna look at him in surprise and smile… Ragini also smiles seeing him… Lakshya then remembers who spoke those words as feels his parents’ gaze on him and again makes a straight face… DP feels bad but consoles himself… Annapurna remains positive about the small change in him… DP and Sharmistha do the first aid and go to stand beside others surrounding the both of them…
DP “Ok now… First aid and all are done… Now tell us all what happened at the alley!! And I am warning you both… You dare not lie… Coz I was there when they were trying to take Ragini with them…”
RagLak gulp hard and look at each other worriedly…
