Chapter- 17
Recap: Laksh called Swara and she lied to him. Swara got confused and feared that Ragini might know about her and Laksh’s efforts. Whereas, in present, Sanskaar’s gestures made Swara happy and he served her food.
In Present only,
Swara starts eating and Sanskaar sits beside her. Swara’s eyes are on ground while Sanskaar is just staring at her as he rests his chin on his hand and his elbow on the table. It makes Swara somewhere happier and she hides her smile. Everyone leaves to their room after the dinner. Swara and Sanskaar too approaches towards their room.
Sanskaar is holding Swara’s arm tightly with both of his hands and she is just walking with a slight smile. As they enter inside the room, Sanskaar says, “ShonaPrincess! This room is not at all good. I will not live here! It has no photos!” Swara looks around the room and replies, “Sanskaar, see nicely! There are so many photographs of yours on the walls.”
Sanskaar moves his head violently in no and says, “No! I don’t want only my photos but yours too!” Swara realises it and grins at him. She in a softer tone assures him, “Sanskaar, you’re so cute! Don’t worry, I will fill all the walls with our photos but new ones! Ok?” Sanskaar jumps and she laughs at his excitement.
Sanskaar suddenly starts coughing and that makes her scare. Swara holds him from shoulders and makes him sit on bed. She rubs his back and searches for water but jugs are all empty. Sanskaar stops coughing and Swara takes a box from the almirah.
Sanskaar says, “No! I don’t want this bad toffee! It is so bad! No!” Swara sits on ground in front of him and keeps the box at bed beside him. She holds his hands and says, “Sanskaar, you want to get well, right? If you are my friend then you have to eat them. Trust me, it’s not that much bad and a little trouble today will double the happiness tomorrow! So, you will eat these candies. Ok?” Sanskaar makes faces but Swara widens her eyes and he makes a sad face.
Swara takes the jug and says, “I’ll come soon and till then you will not go anywhere. Understand?” Poor Sanskaar nods silently and Swara leaves with a smile on her face. Sanskaar says to himself while looking at the medicines, “Candy? How it is a candy? ShonaPrincess too is very innocent! The shop Uncle would have lied to her. If I get him then I will not leave him!”
Whereas, in RagLak’s room, Ragini is unconscious on bed and Laksh on couch. “I am not a toy! I too have feelings but the reality is that I am not able to confess! Laksh! Lucky! Fell for a girl, his friend! He didn’t had courage to tell it to her. Poor guy! But, he did all to impress her! He felt that she loved him but he wasn’t able to feel what was actually in front of him! Suddenly, he found his whole world upside down. He got to know that it was all his imagination that he was also loved by her! And, the destiny played its game! I not only lost my love but my brother, my buddy and myself too! Why it happened? Why? Why huh?”
And, he breaks another glass but in hands only. Ragini blinks her eyes and sits on bed while recognising it that she is in her room. She remembers what happened at the time of her consciousness but could not believe it and how could she? It was so unexpected! When she sees her foot, she realises that it is true!
Tears of happiness comes out of her eyes but the thought soon strikes her mind that Laksh was in which condition. She steps down silently and approaches towards the couch. She finds Laksh and glass pieces again which scares her. She is shivering and keeps her hand on his shoulder.
Laksh turns his face and Ragini’s heart sinks as she sees those tears and red eyes. Laksh is not in his senses now and he holds her hand which shocks Ragini again. He with her support, stands up and comes in front of her. Ragini holds him and helps him to walk. Laksh looks at her with deep emotions in her eyes. He opens his mouth to say something but Ragini stops him.
She says in a low tone, “Laksh ji, you are not in your senses. You have to take rest now. Come with me.” Laksh obeys her and she takes him to bed and makes him lie there. Laksh sees her going far and holds her hand shaking her to the core. This is something her mind cannot understand but her heart is capable to feel.
She comes near him and asks, “Ji?” Laksh replies in a soft tone, “Don’t go please.” Ragini again can’t control her tears and sits beside him. Laksh doses off and Ragini closes her eyes while resting her head at back.
On other side, Swara is filling the jug and she sees two plates of food in kitchen. She wonders, “Who hasn’t eaten food? I was on dining table only! Then?” She is going to leave the kitchen but stops as she remembers that Laksh and Ragini were not present in hall. She arranges everything and then leaves.
She stops in front of RagLak’s room and surprises as the doors are open. She reluctantly enters inside and is embarrass to see RagLak. Ragini opens her eyes and gets shock to see Swara. She stands up but is stopped as he is holding her arm, from stepping forward.
Swara lowers her gaze and leaves after saying, “Dinner for you both.” Laksh is in not senses but Ragini is again surprised to see Swara bringing food for her. She remembers that night (flashback one, where we left), she cried a lot again. She slept while crying and the next morning, she woke up and saw phone ringing.
She picked it and realised it was Urvashi. She was not at all in state of talking as Urvashi asked her reason to end the call the previous day suddenly. Ragini cried out on call and told Urvashi to meet her the same place. She kept her hand on her mouth to suppress her cries and left to be ready.
She came out of the washroom, dressed in anarkali suit, which was not regular. She took her mobile phone as she kept it in her bag and opened the door. But, was taken back to found Swara standing in front of her holding plates with breakfast and a smile on her face. Ragini askes, “You here?”
Swara replied, “Why so? You are my sister and this is my sister’s room. All yours is mine only!” Ragini widened her eyes and says loudly, “No!” Swara left the plate as she got scared of her sudden shout. She looked at Ragini with astonishment and asked, “What happen? Because of you, I left the plate and it broke.”
Ragini turned her face and left after saying, “Everything is happening because of you. Not me!” Swara stood still as she couldn’t believe that Ragini’s reaction was this and what her words meant? Swara got a feeling again that Ragini was knowing about her attempts. She left to her college while Ragini left to meet Urvashi at the same place.
Ragini came at the place and told Urvashi about all she had gone through. Urvashi pretended as she concerns for her and said, “I can’t see you losing like your real Maa! I think this is the time we have to fight back! We should get your love to you!” This made Ragini shiver and she asked, “What? What you mean?”
Urvashi hold her from shoulders and said, “I mean to get you what is yours! He is your love and you should get him.” Ragini pushed her back and said, “No! How can you think like that?” Tears fell out as she realised what she did and so, she ran to pick her up as she didn’t mean to hurt her.
Urvashi got angry but didn’t showed and said her, “Ragini, you are my daughter only! It will hurt me more than you if I will see you losing your love like your mother. Sharmishtah snatched Janki’s husband! I hope you are understanding what I am telling you. Swara’s mother did this with her so-called sister and then, you are her step sister! What she can do with you!”
Ragini replied, “I don’t know what to do! But, I’m sure that I’ll not play all these cheap games. That’s my decision. If Laksh loves her then I’ll surely be hurt but I’ll never snatch him from Swara or anyone!” Urvashi tried to force her to agree and said, “It isn’t you who is snatching him but she who is snatching…”
Ragini joined her hands in front of her and said, “Sorry but I’ll not do anything like this.” Urvashi called her and said, “Fine! Fine! If you want to repeat the dreadful past then I’ll not force you. But, I hope you will at least try for justice of your mother!” Ragini turned back and said, “I will surely do everything to bring the truth in front of all.” Urvashi smiled and Ragini left from there.
As she vanished, Urvashi called the same person and said, “She didn’t agree to go against her sister but she fell for the plan B. Now, we have to plan more and utilise her emotional side.”

Laksh murmurs in his sleep and this makes Ragini come out of her thoughts. She takes the plates and goes towards Laksh. She sits beside him and wakes him up to eat the food. Laksh is not able to hold the plate so, she feeds him with her hands.
Whereas, Swara enters the room again while wiping her tears as she doesn’t want Sanskaar to see her like this. Sanskaar sees her and says, “Look ShonaPrincess, I didn’t stand up from here. But, you took so long!” Swara thinks that she quickly left RagLak’s room then how it took so long. And Sanskaar says, “You know that I don’t like to be far from you, right?”
Swara slaps her forehead and comes near him with glass of water and gives his medicines to eat. Sanskaar makes faces but Swara’s eyes are only enough for him. Sanskaar then go to change while Swara arranges the bed. Later, he comes out and Swara goes to change. Sanskaar rests his head on Swara’s lap and sleeps like that. Swara too sleeps after removing his head on the couch beside the bed.
