Puja has been done in Maheshwari Mansion… Whole house is busy in preparing for the Mehandi and Sangeet of the three brides…
Dadi “Shekhar…. Make sure no man enters here… They have no work here… Only women will be there…”
Shekhar “Yes MAA… I will take care of it… Infact…. I have already thought of something…. Me,DP jee and RP jee will be going to our club… There is some program there so we will attend it…”
Sanskar “But Dadi why aren’t we allowed… In my Sangeet,it was nothing like that…. All were there and all enjoyed…”
Sharmishtha “Exactly… They enjoyed in your Sangeet how much they had to…. Now this will happen traditionally…”
Dadi “Good… Chora… Take Ravish, Lakshya and your friend Rohit (Rohan) somewhere else till the program is going on…”
Sanskar “But Dadi–”
Dadi “No ifs and buts…. Now go and help others in decorations…”
In Ragini’s Room…
Swara and Kavya are on video call with Ragini and Aisha…
Swara “Seriously Ragini…. Bhai’s face is dull from the moment he has returned…”
Kavya “Not only that… Lucky ne jabse suna Hai ki men will not be going to the evening function tab se to bechara murjha hi Gaya Hai…”
Ragini blushes…
Aisha “Aaye Haaye… Koi to rok lo… BTW Swara and Kavya Bhabhi… Sanskar and Ravish also in the similar condition…. Just 10 minutes before Ravish was buttering me to let him in as a photographer but I denied…”
They also blush… Kavya’s phone rings…
Aisha “See… It must be him…”
Kavya blushes and goes out to talk…
The three laugh…
Swara “Ragini… You must be in triple tension…”
Ragini nods…
Swara “Coming days are very important in our life… It will decide the fate of Justice and happiness…”
Aisha “Justice will happen anyhow… By hook or by crook…”
She clenches her fist and turns teary…
Ragini “Aisha control yourself…. I understand what you are going through… But I promise tomorrow you will step in this house with smile on your face and peace in your heart…”
Aisha looks at her… Swara smiles…
Aisha “BTW what was that proof you were talking about Ragini…”
Ragini “It would be better if you see it in court itself… Else it might fall in danger…”
Aisha “No… Then better let it be the secret… But I am sure that it won’t let me sleep whole night…”
Swara “Leave these talks girls… Come on… Let us get ready soon so that we can meet soon…”
They nod and sign off…
Lakshya is on call with Sanskar… He has kept his phone on speaker and Rohan (Rohit) and Ravish are hearing him…
Lakshya “Yaar this isn’t fair… We are being tortured… What is this new rule that we can’t meet our would be wife..??”
Sanskar “Are don’t tell… I literally begged in front of Swara but she refused to help me out in this matter…”
Ravish “Sometime before I talked to Kavya but she was also advocating Dadi…”
Rohan “I asked help from Aisha ji to help you all out but it was also of no use…”
Lakshya “Thanks Yaar Rohit… At least you tried and thought for us… Else in this cruel world,our own family is torturing us…”
Sanskar “This is the reason… That our country’s view is not progressing… We are still bound by old beliefs…”
Ravish “And our would be wives are being made like our mothers in view…”
Rohan “Suddenly this women empowerment,Social development and universal welfare…!!! I am not able to digest it…”
Sanskar and Ravish give him a death glare… While Lakshya make a straight face… Rohan apologises…
Lakshya “Anyway… Come to Kapoor Mansion in the evening… I have a plan…”
They all agree…
In the evening…
Whole Maheshwari Mansion is decorated in pink and white….
Kapoor ladies have already reached there….
The four girls are in Ragini’s room…
Downstairs, everybody is waiting for the would be brides…
Finally they come…
All are mesmerized seeing them… Coming downstairs together…
Swara and Aisha makes Ragini and Kavya sit…
Sharmishtha “Swara… Today you will also sit here… It’s your Marriage as well…”
Swara blushes…
Ragini gets up and takes Swara with her to sit…
All three are seated…
Sharmishtha “Before we start the ritual,Swara and Aisha… They are your would be Bhabhis… You will apply them Mehandi first…”
Swara and Aisha smile…
Aisha proceeds towards Kavya when some of the ladies start taunting….
Lady A “Just look at her… From which angle does she looks like a widow??? Pati Mar Gaya magar solah shringaar nai chuta…”
Lady B “Kavya should not let her put Mehandi on her hand… It’s suhaagan sign which should not be done by widow… It is inauspicious…”
Lady C “Husband is already dead don’t know if she does the upshagun then even brother will die…”
All of them are hearing this…
Aisha turns teary and turn to leave… Kavya holds her hand and stops her…
Aisha “No… They are right… I can’t harm you or Ravish…. It would be better if I leave…”
Kavya “Whom you are listening to?? These uneducated AUNTIES (Giving more emphasis on the word aunties… The ladies get offended) Who just know to taunt others and do nothing…”
Swara “And Aisha from when you started paying heed to these good for nothing society and taunts…??? You don’t do these all because you cannot disown these materialistic things…. But because Rohan wanted you to do these… (She looks at her surprised) Yes…. I know about that letter… It is Rohan’s wish that your life doesn’t remains without colours and you are just respecting that…”
Ragini “And Aunty A…. I heard that your daughter ran away with a sabziwala (She feels embarrassed) Aunty B… I heard that last week you caught your husband with some other married lady and you beat him publicly (She also lowers her head) Aunty C… You were also a widow right… And you remarried… And how you did all that it’s not hidden by anyone…”
The ladies lower their head out of shame…
Dadi angrily goes towards the girls…. They think that they will be scolded for being vocal… Instead Dadi blesses them…. She then goes to Aisha…
Dadi (caressing her head) “Sorry beta… From their side…. Don’t feel bad… But I will correct my mistake right now…”
Ragini thinks that Aisha has to hear all this unnecessarily…. But then she thinks that just one more day…. Not even day… Just one more night… And smiles…
Dadi goes in and comes out followed by two servants…
She returns them their gifts and gives one additional small box to each of three…
Dadi “It was my mistake to think that you can be part of my happiness… I thought that you all must have changed in past few months but I was wrong… We neither need your presence nor present… And about that small box, unfortunately or by mistake,you were my guest and we had decided not to let the guest go empty handed…. There is a silver coin in it with Ganpati engraving…. Pray to him so that he can give you some wisdom… Now plz leave…”
The ladies try to explain but in vain… They then turn to Sharmishtha to apologies and asks her permission to let them stay back but she also joins her hands in attitude “Aisha is my daughter… And I can’t bear her insult… It would be better if you leave… Till now my daughters (Looking at swaragini and Kavya… Swara and Kavya get emotional seeing that Sharmishtha isn’t discriminating among them…) gave you answers now don’t force me to open my mouth…. Just leave…”
They reluctantly leave…
Aisha feels bad… Sharmishtha hugs her and consoles her… The rest three and Dadi and Annapurna join them…
Annapurna “Shall we begin the ritual now???”
All nod…
Aisha puts Mehandi on Kavya’s hand…
Swara puts Mehandi on Ragini’s… They recall a similar moment between them and smile…”
They do the Mehandi ritual… Aisha is going to wash hands…
Ragini “Aisha…. Wait…. I will also come…. Plz help me with water I am really thirsty…”
Aisha nods and they go….
Someone strikes with Aisha and her hands fall on the Mehandi tube which squeezes and Mehandi spreads over her hands…
Aisha turns tearful seeing Mehandi in her hands and recalls Rohan…
Aisha “This shouldn’t have had happened…”
Ragini “Why??? Mehandi also gives color…. And colour signifies happiness… May be soon you will get the biggest happiness of your life…”
Aisha thinks yes as tomorrow Kabir will be punished and Rohan will get Justice and she will get peace and happiness….
Ragini smiles seeing the turn of events…
They help themselves out… Aisha washes her hand and sees that Mehandi actually caught colour… She stares at it… Ragini notices it and says “See I told you… Soon you will get happiness…” Aisha nods and smiles…
In the Kapoor Mansion…
The boys company are sitting sadly….
Lakshya “I am telling you… Just hear my plan once…. It’s worth trying…”
Sanskar “No…”
Ravish “Not at all…”
Rohan (Rohit) ” Nope bro… No after that bachelor’s party…”
Lakshya “But why???”
Sanskar “Last time hum log aapki baat sun ke party me to aa Gaye the but we had to face much after that…”
Ravish “And even you faced…”
Rohan nods…
Lakshya “But this time we aren’t going anywhere else… We are going to Maheshwari Mansion…”
Sanskar and Ravish shake their head in no… Rohan looks on…
Lakshya “Yaar just listen to me once… Rohit…. Yaar at least you make them understand…”
Rohan “Guys… I think we should hear him once…. After all there is no harm in hearing the plan… There is a chance of it being awesome else we will discard it…”
Sanskar “But Ro–”
Rohan “Bhai plz… Just once…”
Ravish and Sanskar look at each other…. They then look at Rohan who joins his hand requesting them to listen to Lucky…. Then all three look at Lakshya indicating him to tell the plan… Lakshya smiles broadly…
Lakshya “Ok… Come with me guys…”
They all follow him….
They come to a room and Lakshya shows them 4 sarees and other sets…
Ravish “No… We are not gonna do this…”
Sanskar grins “Why not… If it’s for Swara… I am ready…”
Lakshya looks at Rohan…
Rohan “Don’t even think… I can’t even go in veil because of my turban… Think something else for me…”
Lakshya “Ravish Yaar think about Kavya… She would be looking so beautiful today…. It’s her Sangeet…. And you can’t do this for her??”
Ravish reluctantly agrees…
Rohan “What about me???”
Ravish “Ya… We can’t even disguise him as sardar… He is already one…”
All look at him making a face…
Ravish “Ok… That was lame…”
Sanskar “And only I have the right to crack lame jokes…”
Lakshya “Rohit… Go and shave… Being a Punjabi you must be having really long hair… We will keep it open… It will hang from beneath the veil… No one will doubt us also…”
Sanskar and Rohan gulp hearing the plan… They think that now they will be caught…
Ravish “Worst idea Lucky… Let’s just let him in as camera man… I cancelled his appointment as I wanted to go in as camera man… But you know how cruel this world is…”
Lakshya “As if they won’t deny him…”
Sanskar “Why would they..?? He is not going there to meet his wife… Roha– (Rohan glares him) Rohit… Go and talk to Dadi once… I guess she will agree only for you…”
Rohan relaxes and nods… He goes out to talk to Dadi…
There the girls are worrying that there is no camera man…
Dadi “Don’t know why he didn’t came… I had booked one…”
Just then her phone rings…
She picks it up…
Dadi “Yes Rohit beta…”
Rohan “Is everything going ok??”
Dadi “No beta… Don’t know what happened to camera man… I had called him but he has not come yet… Can you arrange for another one..??”
Rohan “But Dadi… On such a short notice, it is not possible… I can do one thing… I will come with camera there and do the recording…. Anyways I am getting bored sitting with these 3… They are busy sharing their sorrows of not being able to attend the Mehandi and Sangeet…”
Dadi “Idea is good but promise me that you won’t bring any of the three here with you…”
Rohan “No chance Dadi…. Don’t worry… I will reach there in few minutes…”
They cut the call…
Ragini “Dadi…. Why you allowed Rohit ji??? He is also a male…”
Dadi “But he is not coming here to meet his would be wife…. It’s good that a family member will do the recording…”
Ragini thinks she and Swara only knows why Rohan is coming here…
There Rohan thinks finally he will be able to spend time with Aisha… He comes to the boys’ room and shows them a thumbs up… They do the same… He takes there leave and asks them to reach soon… They nod… He leaves…
The boys start getting ready…
Ravish’s blouse is totally laced from back… He is not able to do it properly… After a while he fails…
Ravish “Guys…. I am not able to wear this pathetic thing…. Plz help me out….”
As we all know… Lakshya is such a good dresser ???…. He moves forward to help him out but just then Sanskar comes forward to help him out…
Sanskar “Turn back… I will do it…”
He ties the lace while Ravish is turning back holding his saaree…
Sanskar reminisces that on RagLak haldi,when he went into Swara’s room, he saw Swara struggling with her lahenga’s blouse which had similar pattern of lace… Sanskar enters and she blushes… He also feels shy and says that he will come afterwards… But Swara calls him just then and asks for his help…
Sanskar “But I don’t know to do it…”
Swara “I will tell you… You come na…”
He goes to her…. She turns back… He holds the laces in his hands… She instructs him,he follows it and does his work… They are standing in front of the mirror…. Sanskar holds her shoulder from back…
They have a eye lock via their reflection…. Sanskar gives her a flying kiss… She shies… He smiles…
Out of flashback, Ravish and Sanskar are standing in the same position in front of the mirror… Ravish is clueless about why Sanskar is holding him like this… Lakshya notices them and laughs out loud “Kya scene Hai…” He sings MAA da laadla bigar Gaya… Sanskar comes out of his own world and leaves Ravish….
Lakshya “Nice Yaar… How you knew that it is tied like this???”
Ravish acts as saving his modesty “What were you up to??”
Sanskar “Shut up Ravish… Nothing like that… I had just helped Swara with this few days back… So I know…” He says it all unconsciously…
Lakshya puts his hand on his waist and looks at him…
Sanskar suddenly remembers that Lakshya is also there and goes to other side to wear his blouse and saree…
Lakshya also continues getting ready…
Ravish and Lakshya get ready in Saree… They turn to look at Sanskar who is struggling with it…
Ravish and Lakshya laugh seeing him…
Sanskar “Plz Bhai… Stop laughing and help me out…”
Lakshya goes and makes him wear the saree… After he is done, Sanskar looks at himself in mirror…
Ravish does that hand step to ward evil eye off Sanskar…. Sanskar throws a cloth and hits him… Lakshya laughs…
Ravish “From where you learnt draping saree…??”
Lakshya “I once helped Ragini…”
His tongue slips….
This time Sanskar puts his hand on his waist and looks at Lucky….
Lakshya sees him “I think we should leave now…”
He rushes out of the room… Sanskar and Ravish laugh…
Rohan reaches Maheshwari Mansion… He strikes there with Aisha and apologies to her… He gets mesmerized seeing her…
Aisha (waving her hand in front of him…) “Rohit ji…??? What happened??”
Rohan “Don’t feel bad… But can I compliment you???”
Aisha “Haa… Kyu nai…”
Rohan “Aapko dekh ke bola nai ja skta ki aapki ek beti bhi Hai… Who is hardly one month old…”
Aisha “Huh???”
Rohan “I mean generally delivery ke turant baad shape me aana is not possible for everyone but you can do even impossible possible…”
Aisha “Ok… Enough now… And it’s normal for a cop to do so… And I had to regain my fitness…”
Rohan “True Yaa…”
Ragini “Ahem Ahem….”
They both look at her…
Ragini “I hope I didn’t Disturbed you??”
Aisha “Are you mad or what… Of course not…”
Ragini “Thanks… I have some work from him…”
She drags him from there…
There boys step down their car and see the decorated Maheshwari Mansion….
