Swara and laksh took blessings from AP & DP whereas ragini and sanskar from janaki, shomi & shekhar. All were so happy except AP, but still she always put a mask of happiness on her face. Sanskar noticed it but thought to ask her later.
They all finished with their shopping and went to their respective places.
In MM
Sanskar went to AP’s room.
Sanskar: mom are you busy.
AP: nahi tho come.
Sanskar gets inside and sat on the floor near the bed keeping his head on AP’s lap and AP start to caress his head.
Sanskar: kya hua mom you looks worried. Is there anything bothering you.
AP: when my children are grown up to take decisions by themselves then what does it matters that what i feel or not
Sanskar was shocked to hear thi from his mom.
Sanskar: mom what happened why are you saying like this. Are you not happy with our marriage.
AP: sanskar it’s not like that, but still i would have been more happy if you had told me about this earlier. I had no hopes about ragini bcz sujatha had already decided that she will make ragini marry her son but sanskar i had so many dreams about your wedding, that i myself will search for a perfect match for you, will do all the arrangements myself and to love my DIL as my daughter.
Her talks were interrupted by sanskar
Sanskar: mom you are feeling like this bcz you don’t know swara. Mom believe me she holds all that qualities which you want to be in your DIL. wait i will call her and ask her to come and be with you for a day so that you will understand her well. Mom i swear you won’t be disappointed.
AP: sanskar the thing is i had started searching for my DIL and to be very precise i had found one also, i had already talked with them and even they are ready for this alliance. But see you urself searched for your bride, your father fixed it and i was left behind as if a fool who not even know what is happening in her own house.
DP and sujatha enter the room hearing their conversation DP got angry whereas sujatha opted to add fuel to the fire as she is already disappointed with raglak marriage.
DP: annapoorna when did you started to take decisions of this house by your own.
Sujatha: what is wrong in that bhai afterall she took decision of her own son.
DP: after my death…….. She can take decisions by her own only after my death. For now i’m alive and as the head of the family it’s my right to finalise anything in this house got it.
AP: ji i didn’t take any decision, i thought to inform you all after talking with them and today morning only they informed me about their consent. When i came to talk to you about this you ordered me to get ready for the shopping of my children’s engagement.
DP: i’m also telling the same annapoorna, before talking with them you should have informed me
Sujatha: you too didn’t find it important to inform bhabhi about your decision, then how can you blame her bhai.
Ragini:(at the peak of her voice) stop it………..
Sanskar was all numb with the happenings that he even didn’t notice that the elders were arguing on his decision of marrying swara. He came to his senses after hearing ragini’s shout
Ragini: what the hell is going on here, and bua aap, why are you trying to add fuel to the fire. Our mom, dad know very well what is good for us so please you just stay away from this
AP: ragini behave yourself she your elder
Ragini: oh….come on mom bua is taking your side bcz she also wants to break this alliance. If bhai’s marriage with swara is broken then laksh will back off from marrying me and she can make me her DIL hein na bua.
AP: ragini i told you keep quiet in front of your elders.
Ragini: mom why are you not understanding
DP: leave it ragini right now she is not in her senses otherwise which mother will think about the word she given to someone more important than her own son’s happiness.
Sanskar: will you all just stop this and dad i want to talk to mom alone please you all leave.
Everyone left and sanskar locked the room and went beside AP
Sanskar: mom now tell me
AP:what should i say sanskar? Mere bache mujh par hi ungli utha rahe hai. Was my upbringing that bad ki my own children is going against me?
San: mom please don’t blame urself, ok you tell me what should i do shall i cancel this engagement. Mom trust me no one will blame you and i will make swara also understand. Mom i don’t want this marriage to happen without your happiness, bcz your happiness means a lot to me.
AP: No, sanskar i will handle this you don’t worry it’s just i couldn’t hold my emotions seeing you i’m sorry beta trust me i don’t have any problem with your and swara’s engagement.
Sanskar: i’m sorry mom i didn’t do anything intentionally, you know i was in love with her from the last six months but i didn’t knew that it was her.
AP: what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sanskar: haan mom, vho we met through net and i started liking her but bcz of some misunderstanding we couldn’t confess, and when i got to know it was her situation got again worst and i was not in a condition to think about anything. As i couldn’t handle the situation i tried to run away like a coward and then after realising that i can’t live without her i came back and thought to convince her first and then talk to you and dad. But dad was one step ahead of me. He directly fixed my engagement even without my knowledge. Today only i came to know that it’s my engagement with swara. Now you tell me in between all these mess how can i inform you even i was preparing myself to face the situation where i was going to lose her.
AP: shhhh….. Sanskar bass chup, i know everything beta. I told you na i couldn’t hold my emotions for a moment, that’s why i reacted like this and now i’m ok you just don’t worry.
Even if he was not satisfied, he decided to give her some space and thought that she will be ok by the passing of time
Dinner was also in silence and sanskar was holding himself responsible for the situation.
Sanskar: (after dinner)dad i want to discuss something with you regarding our new project presentation so can we discuss it now
DP: sure y not let’s go to my study
In DP’s study room
DP: tell me sanskar what do you want to discuss
Sanskar: dad I want to talk about mom
DP: (angrily) I don’t want to hear anything about her.
Sanskar: dad please
DP: sanskar i said no …means no. Ok how can she took such decisions without my consulting me.
Sanskar: you too did the same na dad. Mom just talked to them but you fixed my engagement without informing her. Dad she is my mom and she to have the same right on me as you. So what is wrong if she reacted like that.
DP: but sanskar i fixed your marriage with the girl you loved but she didn’t even care to talk to you once before talking to them
Sanskar: dad you fixed my marriage with Swara because you knew I loved her but dad mom had no idea about all these.S he just thought that her son will not go against her, can we blame her for that. Dad it’s our mistake either you or I should have informed about this to her earlier
DP:( thinking deeply) may be you are right. Oh God what have I done, I shouted at her before thinking about her condition. Shitttt
Sanskar: ( smiling) and I’m sure you know how to convince her.
DP: yeah sure
