sanskar gestured one of the police something and the inspector nodded. meanwhile swara who was lost in thoughts looked at sanskar once and then did something and at the same time lights went off and everyone was shocked by a scream.
[don’t be confused- i know that it’s afternoon time but the hall does not have any window for light. it is surrounded by other rooms through which light enters the hall. so as the light went off it was dark not completely but yes as it was very dim to see what is happening at that time]
actually sanskar told the inspector to switch off the light as he was standing near the light and taking that opportunity he could free swara from sahil’s clutches. but instead of that they heard a scream making them shock.
as soon as inspector heard the scream he switched the lights on back and what they all saw shocked them even more.
they saw that sahil was fallen over the havankund in which the fire was lit [the holy fire].it was sahil who screamed because of falling and then because of the heat of fire which slowly catched his sherwani burning him. swara was looking at sahil with extreme hatred and disgust. she not even once thought of helping him out of fire or save him. afterall why would she. it is her only who made him tripped by putting her legs back while he was walking holding her and slightly pushing away his hand making him fall. due to the oil which fell while sahil fell down and spread all over helped the fire to spread over the area around havankund burning sahil.
she was just standing on her place staring him. the others who were there were also shocked. sanskar looked at sahil and then at swara and ran and pulled swara away to save her from fire while police came with the carpet placed on floor and wrapped around sahil who somehow managed to stand and was screaming. police somehow put off the fire. but his painful screams didn’t stop. his chest area and neck which came in contact with fire was burnt when he was over havankund and his upper body got burnt due to fire which spread all around and also fire caught his clothes.
sanskar hugged swara but she didn’t and was looking at sahil who was shouting and screaming due to pain. sanskar looked at swara who was not reacting and just looking at sahil who was laying on floor wrapped in carpet.
sahil- aahhhhh aahhhh [looked at swasan who were hugging] aaahhh swara…you a…h…..hhh… didn’t do …good……by…pushing me. aaahhhhh.
sanskar looked at swara and rubbed her arms realising the truth. he thought that her this state is because of seeing sahil as swara never harms anyone. sanskar tried to soothe her while himself being in shock with the incident.
sahil’s scream echoed in the hall of that house. swara who was looking at sahil continuously went unconscious in sanskar’s arms. sanskar feeling her complete weight of her on him saw her and panicked.
sanskar- swara…. swara…… [he patted her cheeks]
after an hour a hospital is shown-
a doctor came out of room and sanskar who was standing outside rushed to him.
sanskar- doctor how is my wife.
doctor- she is weak and undergoing mental trauma. also she is not taking her diet properly. it seems that she eats very less or and skips her meals. in this condition she needs complete rest and happiness all around. if she is strained or stressed then it may lead to nervous breakdown. so be very careful as the condition she must have went through her kidnapping has affected her a lot. i hope you understand what i am saying.
sanskar- yaa…. doctor when will she gain consciousness and when can i take her home.
doctor- she will be sleeping due to sedative we gave. she is sleep deprived too. and taking her home you can when you wish too as the more she spends time amongst people of her family and happiness it will be better for her. excuse me.
sanskar nodded.
soon inspector came there to sanskar.
inspector- mr. sanskar
sanskar- yaa inspector
inspector- mr. sanskar as this is police case you will have to come along to give your statement and also we will need your wife’s statement too. we need to report everything so…
sanskar- inspector for now i will give my statement but my wife..
inspector- yaa i know her condition so for now please if you can…
sanskar nodded and went with police.
in police station.
inspector- now mr. sanskar tell us everything that happened.
sanskar- as you know that my wife was missing from 3 months. we were on holiday and went to mathura where while shopping in market she went to buy something alone and we were waiting for her near our car but when it was late and she didn’t come then i went to check for her and didn’t found her. i searched for her for hours but got no clue. i dropped my children to hotel arranging security for them and then went to police station but before 24 hours missing report is not filed. for the whole night i searched for her and tried her mobile. in starting it rang but after an hour it came unreachable. next morning i filed police complaint and they searched for her but no use. only her mobile was traced outskirts of the city. the complaint is filed in mathura. then i stayed there for few days for finding her but got no clue. then i came back to mumbai taking my kids. from mumbai itself i contacted a detective agency in mathura and they also were searching for my wife and i appointed another team in mumbai to find any clue if it was due to business rivals etc..
as you know i made missing advertisement in paper in whole U.P.but got no information. from the last three months i was finding her. finally yesterday i got a call from a lady who told me..
flashback- yesterday evening.
sanskar was working on his laptop in home when he got a call from unknown number. he received it.
sanskar- hello
lady- is this sanskar.
sanskar- yes [confused] but who are you?
lady- sir your wife swara is here in madhya pradesh cityABC .
sanskar- [shocked] who is this. what do you want and how come my wife is there.
lady- [scared due to his arrogant dangerous voice] sir i am maid in the house she is kept. sir please come and save her.
sanskar- why should i believe you.
lady- sir it’s up to you.
sanskar- ok tell me who has kidnapped her.
lady- sir his name is sahil
sanskar- [shock] sahil….
sanskar- [broken voice] how is my swara.
lady/maid- sir she cries day and night since when i have met her.
sanskar- tell me the address where she is kept. please.
lady- yes sir write. [lady dictated the address]
sanskar- how can i contact you again.
lady- sir i am calling from a telephone booth. i can’t contact you again and if anyone comes to know then it will be harmful for me. please come as fast as you can. sir is arranging for marriage with your wife. please come before all this happens.
sanskar- [shocked to hear marriage word] marriage. ok i will be there by tomorrow. till then please take care of her.
lady- ok sir now i will keep the phone.
flashback ends
sanskar- as soon as i was informed about swara by the lady i first came here and informed you all and the rest you know.
inspector asked some more questions from sanskar. and then the maid was interrogated. inspector asked the maid since when was she working there and why didn’t she informed the police earlier.
maid- inspector saab i am a poor lady. i joined there a week before as cook. i used to cook there and serve maam. i was told that she has lost her memory and is mentally unstable. [sanskar clenched his fist hearing it] so she behaves awkwardly and tells different story. so my work is to just serve her food. two days before when she was calm i just asked her about her and she told about her husband and kids. first i thought it’s her story itself but then she told there names and about her life some more things. i found it real and said that i will help her. also i saw sahil sir behaving rudely with her once that’s why i believed her. but we didn’t knew what to do. she tried to escape from there but couldn’t earlier and after that sahil sir kept two persons who always guarded outside her room.
that evening she on a napkin wrote this sir [pointing sanskar] number and told me to inform him about this place by calling him. i took the napkin and came my home. i could not inform him that day because it was late and hence i called him yesterday in morning but he didn’t pick up the call and then i tried to call in evening and luckily he picked up and i informed him.
inspector- ok you can go.
sanskar too left from there to hospital. he came in swara’s room and sat beside swara and caressed her hair. he looked at her keenly how thin she has become. she was no more chubby like she used to be. her face pale and gloomy. his heart cried seeing her condition. he pecked her forehead and looked at her longingly. entire 3 months of separation. such a long time. they never stayed away from each other like this. sanskar cried holding her hand.
he received a call and picked it up.
sanskar- hello
other side- hello papa
sanskar- angel [smiled] haan beta tell
sanu- i am angry on you papa.
sanskar- and why so.
sanu- where did you go without informing us. this is bad papa. i am angry and upset from you papa.
sanskar- sorry angel but when i will come naa you will be very happy. i am bringing someone you would see and will be very happy.
sanu- who papa?
sanskar- [tears fell down his cheeks seeing swara] surprise beta. when i will come naa then you see.
sanu- wow surprise. [to swayyam standing beside her] bhaiyuu papa is bringing surprise. yeyy.
swayyam slapped her lightly on her head and took the phone.
swayyam- papa when are you coming and what is surprise.
sanskar- beta i will inform you before reaching as now i am not sure. and surprise is surprise. you have to wait. accha will talk to you later and don’t trouble nani or uttara and tanmay. ok and tell them that i will call them later.
swayyam- ok.
sanskar- bye beta and take care of angel and yourself.
swayyam- ok papa.
the call was cut.
sanskar remembers how he told kids after swara went missing that she has urgent work and she has to go. kids readily believed sanskar. he felt guilty for lying to them everyday but he had to do it. he can’t just simply say them that swara is missing. he had seen swayyam’s condition in childhood when parineeta kidnapped them. he would never let his children go through the same again and hided the fact. how after getting the news shekhar and sharmishtha came to mumbai but sanskar sent her back in few days promising to find out swara. how he distanced himself from everyone and lived only for swayyam and sanu and in the hope that he will find swara. his all failed attempts to find her. then he looked at swara and thought that he had family members and kids with him but she was all alone. how did she live for these three months and what all happened. why sahil took decision to marry her this late after three months when he could have married her earlier too. these questions were eating him up but the most was swara’s health and reaction after she wakes up.
