Chapter 36
Precap: Swara got shot and Sanskar’s love confession……
Morning, hospital ICU
Swara’s POV
My eyelids were heavy. It was difficult to open my eyes but somehow I did. The first thing I saw was the pure, brightened white roof above me…. “Am I dead?” the very first thought crossed my mind…but then rotating my eye balls I looked around, it seems like a room, a hospital room… So, I was in hospital. Well I didn’t remember any of this, all I know was that I saw a man pointing his gun towards Siya…. In an attempt to save her, I just pushed her and then I felt a piercing pain with burning sensation below my shoulder….that thought was still frightening me… and then a second later everything around me turned hazy and slowly disappeared leaving me with dark… I felt some weight over my hand, to look at I turned my head… oh God! It was painful, I felt pain over my shoulder but the sight left me perplexed… he was there sitting next to my bed in a chair, holding my hand in his…. His eyes were closed, might be he was sleeping… I tried to remove my hand from his grip but my movement wiggled him…
He felt some movement in her fingers… quickly coming out of his slumber he looked at her… a layer of utmost happiness crossed by him when he saw her conscious…
Sanskar: Swara!! What happened? Are you feeling pain? Should I call doctor? Ok, let me call a nurse first…..
Swara was confused with his behavior. The restlessness in his eyes, the concern in his voice, all were new to her…. though it wasn’t the first time when he showed his care and concern for her but she could sense there was something different today…
Swara: (very softly) Mr. Maheshwari…. I am feeling thirsty…
Sanskar was happy to hear that “Mr. Maheshwari” from her… he gently placed her hand on the bed which he was holding and moved to the side table to bring water
Sanskar: (holding a glass) here it is…
She tried to get up from the bed but felt a piercing pain over her right shoulder….
“aaahhh” she winced in pain
Sanskar: (little upset) easy!! Your wound is still fresh, don’t stress your body…. Let me do it…
With the help of his hand he raised her head a little and made her drink water carefully about not to touch her wounded shoulder.
Swara: (worried) where is Siya? Is she fine?
Sanskar: Siya is absolutely fine…. She is in visitor’s room with others
“Sorry to disturb you Mr. Maheshwari but I need to check my patient” Doctor’s voice made them look at the door…
Sanskar: yeah…. Please come, I was about to call you….
Doctor: (smile) So, Miss Bose how are you feeling now?
Swara: better….
“ok let me see how better you are” he said while going through her reports… after examining her he spoke
Doctor: well, Miss Bose you are fine now but to recover soon you need to take proper rest and balanced diet and one more thing for few days you have to do minimum use of your right hand or avoid fully if possible as it may stress your injured area…
Swara: how many more days I have to stay here?
Doctor: at least couple of days…
Sanskar: is there anything else we should take care of?
Doctor: No Mr. Maheshwari…. Just regular medicines and proper diet is enough…. (looking at Swara) ok then I will take your leave, take care Miss Bose….
As doctor moved out of the room Swara looked at him, she noticed he was still in that day’s apparels, his shirt was stained with blood “Was he here with me whole night?” she thought
Swara: I think you should take rest now….you didn’t even change
Sanskar: it’s ok, I will do that later
Swara: I am fine now….
Sanskar: (cold voice) yeah, I can see that…
Annoyed with her sarcastic comment she averted her gaze…
Sanskar: (to himself) Sanskar!! Can’t you just keep your mouth shut…. Man, if you keep on behaving like this she will never gonna accept your love….
Nurse: sir, I have to change her dressing, so….
Sanskar: yeah… I am leaving
Before stepping out he turned to look at her for once though she wasn’t looking at him….

Afternoon, Hospital
Swara was shifted from ICU to a private room, she was much better now…. All were there with their happy faces…..
Bushra: How are you my dear?
Swara: (smiles) I am fine aunty, see…
Bushra: (caressing her hair) you don’t know how scared we all were…. Why you behaved like this?
Sanjeet: (cheerfully) well I wasn’t scared instead I am proud of you my dear…. I never knew my princess is so brave…
Sanskar: (sarcastically) don’t you know she love to display her valor whether it’s needed or not, I think chachaji you should recommend her name for state bravery award….
All laughed at his words but Annapurna noticed Swara’s frowned face….
Annapurna: Sanskar!! Stop troubling her…. instead you should be grateful to her…. dear don’t pay heed to him, he is like that only…. Thank you so much beta, you risked your life for Siya, it means a lot to us….
Swara: aunty please don’t say thanks…. All I did is because I love Siya
Siya: (loudly) will you all allow mw to talk or not?
She came near Swara and sat on the edge of the bed… all laughed aloud seeing her annoyed face
Ragini: ok dear now we all will keep quiet, you talk…
Annapurna: Siya your Shona di is still weak and if you want her to get back soon then let her take rest now… later you can talk to her as much as you want, no one will disturb you ok
Siya: ok dadi ma…
Cheerfully she looked at Swara and kissed her cheek “get well soon di” she said

Hospital, Swara’s room
All left for home except Ragini and Sanskar. Though Bushra was reluctant to go back to hotel as Sanjeet decided to stay for few more days, but on Swara’s insistence she unwillingly agreed….
Ragini: Sanskar, why don’t you go and get some sleep….you haven’t been slept for a minute since last night..
Sanskar: I am fine Ragini…
Swara: please Mr. Maheshwari go, Ragini is here with me
Ragini: at least change your clothes, you are stinking badly
He raised an eyebrow to Ragini whereas Swara got a reason to chuckle
Sanskar: ok I am going…. Ragini can I talk to you for a second?
Ragini nodded and followed him out of the room…..
Sanskar: (concerned) Ragini don’t leave her alone for a second and please check that she takes her medicine on time…. if you need anything just call me ok
Ragini: (smiles) ok BOSS, anything else?
Sanskar: Raginiiii…..
Ragini: ok dear, I am sorry…. I will take care of her, you don’t worry
Sanskar: thanks…. I will be back in an hour then you can go back
Ragini: I could see how desperately you want to be with her, this shows how much you love her…
Sanskar was shocked with Ragini’s words. It was hardly few hours ago since he confessed his love for her and how Ragini knows about it. She understood Sanskar’s bewilderment…
Ragini: (smiles) Laksh told us…
Sanskar: (puzzled) us? So, how many of you now knew about this?
Ragini: (nervous) all of us present in Hospital except for Siya because she was sleeping
He shook his head in disbelief, how he forgot he could never trust his little brother when it comes to keep a secret….”thank god Siya was sleeping” he thought
Ragini: (covering up) Actually Sanskar Laksh was delirious with joy after your confession, so he just blurt out everything
Sanskar: (angry) I’ll see him later… don’t know when he gonna grow up!!
With annoyed face he strode out of the hospital corridor leaving a smiling Ragini behind
“Lucky be careful, you gonna have it from your bhai” she murmur
