Recap: Swara feels there is something that Sanskar is hiding. Bonding between the Bose Family and the Mittals
Mittals House
The next day all the young girls battalion got up late. So the girls had decided to directly have their brunch. When they came down, their parents were already chitchatting and having fun.
All the four girls screamed to get their parents attention “Good Morning”
(Shomi and the Mittals) “Good Morning Kids”
(Swara) “Uncle did you find about the address that I told you?”
(Anurag) “Yes Beta, and the property is a great place. It’s in Burlington. The only problem is that you have to travel an hour via trains to your university. For Nandini and Shomi, it would take one and half hours to travel by train, will that be okay? One more thing, there are lots of kids in that locality and also there is a pre-school, so Ragini you will still be pre-occupied. You can go to the play school in the morning and evening you and Shomi can take your coaching classes. There is a park nearby that location and it’s a very friendly environment from what I have found.”
(Shomi) “Bhaisaab (means elder brother), There is no problem about travel. We are used to travelling. That wouldn’t be a problem. I just want to move out of that house at the earliest. Also, thanks for finding all the information in detail. It means a lot.”
(Anurag) “Ok then. Let’s go for a family outing. Shweta please pack a picnic basket, let’s enjoy this Sunday and also we can visit the address.”
All were super excited about it. The girls ran to their rooms to freshen up and came down. They had fruit and coffee for once and left. It was a Forty Five Minutes long drive from Toronto and the neighborhood was indeed beautiful. We met the Agent and he had told that Sanskar had already informed that the Bose Family would come and visit the house anytime this week.
Swara’s POV
It was an individual house with one storey. The house was stone crafted and the design was the same as other houses. The house had an attached parking area, which would remain unused since we didn’t have a car, but never mind, the house was beautiful. Each house in the neighborhood had a backyard and so it was with this house. As soon as we entered the house, we saw that there was a living room, kitchen and a small guest room in the ground floor and the first floor had three normal sized rooms. The house was semi-furnished and also the rooms and the living rooms had air-conditioners attached. The house also had a backup generator just in case of the power cut. The entire house was just perfect and the rental cost was about $1000 for two weeks which I found perfect. Though a little pricey, but it was worth every penny.
Anurag Uncle had already asked the agent to keep the papers ready so that we could sign and shift at the earliest. The agent gave us the papers and he said that we could shift anytime. He also handed over the house keys to us. All of us were very happy that finally we have moved one step away from our past. This gives new hopes and at the same time gives birth to new challenges. It is always a wish, that I would nor does my family come across the Gadodias. It’s not that we are scared it is just that we do not want other people to have fun at the cost of our names. I also have to thank Sanskar as he was the one who suggested the place.
Swara immediately took her new smart phone out and dialed his number
(Sanskar) “Hello”
(Swara) “I know it is Sunday and you might be busy, I just want to thank you. The house is extremely beautiful and not only me but my family also loves it. I don’t know how to thank you.”
(Sanskar) “Just Chill, I understood you were in need of a house and so I suggested. And for your Thank You, I need a treat, if it is okay with you?”
(Swara) “It’s a done deal Mr.Maheshwari, the details of your treat would be posted very soon”
By saying both started laughing.
(Sanskar) “Ok, Swara. I have to leave actually I have guests at home, so sorry. See you tomorrow”
(Swara) “I am so sorry Sanskar for keeping you. I will see you the day after as we are planning to shift by tomorrow.”
(Sanskar) “Would you require any help? I can come tomorrow and help you.”
(Swara) “No Sanskar, just take down all the notes, I do not want any help as of Anurag Uncle is also helping us with the shift. If I will need any other help, I would let you know. So Bye and see you tomorrow”
(Sanskar) “Bye and Take Care”
Like that Swara enjoyed her session and outing with her family and in the evening the Mittals had stayed back with the Bose to help them in packing their stuff.
Maheshwaris House
The Maheshwaris house was no less than a small party. People were filled all around the house that day.
DP was there along with him Sahil and kavita’s family. Then there were Rajat’s Family and the Maheshwaris including Laksh’s family. They all had gathered to discuss Rajat and Uttara’s wedding. It was a fun affair where all the responsibilities were distributed. First, everyone sat on the Lawn as the weather was good not too Sunny. It was a pleasant one, RP spoke
(RP) “So we all know why we are here. So I will come straight to the point. So we have decided that the invites would partly be E-Invites and Partly would be Hand Invites. The E-invite samples would be forwarded by Uttara in a day or two and then we could select the best and forward the same to our business associates. Will that much time be enough for you Uttara?”
(Uttara) “Yes Pop, that’s enough. I will make a whatsapp group of our family, and then I will post the same in that group so that approval would be done easily.”
(RP) “That’s a great idea. Next, we need to list down the number of invitees. So I suggest we should start making the list. Rajat, Sanskar and Sahil would take care of invites. Based on the list and confirmations, Sanskar and Sahil will have to list down the number of people who are coming from outside Canada so that an accommodation and transfers could be arranged for them. I suggest catering should also be given to these two boys as these are the biggest foodie among all of us. Is that agreed upon”
(Rajat) “It’s fine dad, I will take care of the invites from our side once all are printed and I will give the list of people who would need accommodation to Sanskar and Sahil so that at least from our side, a little burden would be reduced.”
(Sanskar and Sahil in unison) “We have no problems with the duties assigned.”
(RP) “So we are done with invites, catering and accommodations. Now comes distribution of invites that would be handled by DP, Rajat’s father and myself. We will also be doing the follow ups and reminders with everyone. Raj Bhaiya and Gautami Bhabhi have already started taking care of the list of functions with timings to be set, décor, theme and the venues, so I am not burdening anything beyond that. Laksh would be in-charge of all our clothes along with Aroras as they are already taking care of the men clothing for the wedding and also you have to be a part of Sanskar and Sahil for the catering work. Will that be okay Laksh”
(Laksh) “Yes Chachu, that would be done.”
(RP) “Now the Kumars would handle the salon part. They have to not only take care of Bridal Make-up & Hairdo for Uttara but they also have to arrange make-up and hair stylist for the guests who would be staying in the hotel. Will that be handled?”
(Kavita chirped in) “That will be done Uncle don’t worry”
(RP) “Done. Now my wife, Uttara and Rajat’s mom would take care of all the ladies shopping and other accessories and stuff. Gautami Bhabhi if you would not mind could you please take care of the gifts to be given to all the guests.”
(Gautami) “Not a problem Ram, I will do it.”
(RP) “So we are all done with the work distribution. If anyone feels overburdening of work they can seek the help of the other team only if that other team has completed its work. Will that be all?”
Everyone in Unison said, “Yes Sir.” All started laughing and enjoying their lunch. That was the time when Sanskar received a call from Swara and the same was noticed by Kavita who felt irked by seeing her name and Sahil was smiling seeing the name. Sanskar excused himself and went and spoke over the phone with Swara. Kavita kept cribbing seeing Sanskar’s happy expression while Sahil left no chance in telling Kavita that Sanskar was not meant for her. Kavita being pampered and spoilt could not digest the fact that Sanskar was happy talking to some girl, so she went near Sujatha and asked her if she had a minute to talk alone, Sujatha agreed
(Kavita) “Aunty, look at Sanskar he is again talking to that cheapo Swara. I can’t tolerate it.”
(Sujatha) “Don’t worry Kavita, Sanskar is only yours and no one can take your place. This is my promise. Just wait till your college gets over and I will announce your wedding with Sanskar.
So don’t get jealous.”
(Kavita) “Really Aunty”
(Sujatha) “Yes, my dear. I only want you as my daughter-in-law”
Kavita started flying high and this was all heard by RP. RP was angry but since he did not want to create a scene he just shut his mouth. He liked Swara though he has never seen her but listening from Sahil about Swara made him sure that she was right for Sanskar and no one else.”
Like that the day had passed by the Maheshwaris Side.
The Next Day
(Third Person’s POV) The Bose and the Mittals were busy in packing and shifting everything. They had called Movers to pick up all the packed boxes and Furnitures around afternoon. They didn’t much to shift as their house was already semi-furnished and the other furnitures, the Mittals had placed order that would also get delivered by the evening. All were so busy that they forgot to have their lunch and they were literally surviving on soft drinks and water. Ragini, Shomi, Shweta and Khushi had left for the new house so that they can arrange everything.
Everything was shifted by 5 in the evening and also the furnitures had reached. Anurag had made sure that the company set all the furnitures where they were supposed to be and not just leave it in the living room and leave. Anurag had made sure that the Bose do not find it difficult when they have shifted.
When Swara, Nandini and Anurag had reached, they were shocked to see that there were three boys of almost Swara’s age apart from people who were setting up furnitures. When they went and had a closer look, they were none other than Sahil, Sanskar and Laksh. They had brought dinner for along with some fruit juices and water bottles.
(Swara) “What are you three doing here?”
(Laksh) “Actually Sanskar had informed that you guys are shifting so we thought we could help you. So I had come earlier when Ragini, Shomi Aunty, Shweta Aunty and Khushi were there”
(Swara) “Okies, Thanks a ton. It is a pleasure”
(Shomi) “When Laksh came he got some snacks and coffee for all of us. It was a great gesture by him. Sanskar and Sahil also came from university directly. They also gave their introduction and Swara I am really happy that you have such good friends. Just a few minutes back they both went again and got us dinner and fresh fruit juices.”
(Sahil) “Come on Aunty, we can do anything for our friends and since we missed Khushi and Swara, we thought to meet them too. Two works in one shot (he said winking)”
(Sanskar) “It is a pleasure that we were of some use else Swara had strictly told me that I only had to make notes and that she didn’t want us to b burdened.”
(Swara) “It is not like that Sanskar. It is just that Khushi was already missing her classes and I didn’t want you guys to miss the same. I know how tough it is to survive in our university. So I didn’t want to burden you all”
(Sahil) “So that means we are not your friends?”
(Swara) “No Sahil, it is not that.”
Swara was cut by Anurag
(Anurag) “She is so used to doing things herself that she doesn’t want to depend on others. Even I have to force her to accept my help.”
(Swara) “Uncle, now stop please”
(Laksh) “Oka now guys leave all that. I am kind of feeling hungry. Let’s eat as it is already 7 in the evening and then we will start working again”
(Ragini) “Once dinner is done I guess you guys can rest because everything is set, only kitchen and wardrobe setting up is left, balance you people have helped us a lot.”
(Sahil) “Guys we will help in that also. Anurag Uncle and Shweta Aunty can leave post dinner as they look tired. Balance all of us here can form a group of two and can take the three rooms and kitchen simultaneously so that your work can complete the work faster.”
(Sanskar) “I totally agree with Sahil”
(Laksh) “So when we have decided what we need to post dinner, can we please have dinner, I really need food or else in next five minutes I will need a doctor.”
All giggled seeing Laksh’s reaction and they proceeded to have their dinner. All were laughing and enjoying this fun time together. As decided Anurag and Shweta had left leaving Khushi at the Bose’s house, Sahil and Khushi took one room along with the belongings that were related to that room, same thing was followed by Raglak and Swasan. Shomi and Nandini took the kitchen.
Swasan’s side
(Swara) “Sanskar, thank you so much for all the help that you have provided. I can’t thank you enough Sanskar.”
(Sanskar) “Stop thanking me Swara, I am happy that you are happy and mostly your family and also Khushi’s family”
(Swara) “You know Swara, I never thought that you and Sahil would come and also Laksh for that matter. I really don’t know how I have got such good friends. Sahil has become a good friend since the start but with you, we fought a lot and this one project made us into good friends, I can’t thank you enough. You know I always hated men community thinking they were all chauvinist but Anurag Uncle, You, Sahil and Laksh have proved me wrong and I am happy about it. Now understand that not all men are my father.”
(Sanskar) “Can we stop talking about what you think and about past? Take this as a new step into a new life. You will be happy.”
(Swara) “I guess you are right. By the way Sanskar, can I ask you something?”
(Sanskar) “Yes, you can”
(Swara) “Will you ever feel comfortable in sharing your past with me so that I can see a smile on your face that’s pure?”
(Sanskar) “Swara I do not want to talk about it now, but I will try my best to open up more. Even for that matter, you are not completely open about your past. I just know that your father was an ass. So let’s enjoy this phase and we will take everything slowly. Please, it is a request.”
(Swara) “I am happy that you will ready to share. I will wait and I hope I can build that trust in your eyes very soon. Sanskar I agree that I have also not fully opened up myself, but I guess you
will know about my past really soon because Sanskar I think I have started trusting you and also Sahil.”
Sanskar was shocked that Swara trusted him. He was happy. But he needed time to open up
Once the three pairs were done arranging the rooms and wardrobe, they came down and helped with the kitchen. Like this, their work got over by 9 in the night. The boys decided to leave and Sahil asked Khushi if she had to be dropped to her home. Khushi decided that she would leave as she did not have her change of clothes, so she left along with them. The Bose family went and slept in their respective rooms. As now all had individual rooms. Guest Room was converted as Shomi’s bedroom and the rooms on top were occupied by daughters.
Shomi was satisfied and happy seeing all the boys and how clean their hearts were. They mingled so easily with each other especially Sahil and Sanskar because Laksh had already visited them earlier but these two had come and met the family for the first time and yet so friendly.
