Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Sachin Shroff on replacing Sailesh Lodha
Actor Sachin Shroff is all set to replace Sailesh Lodha for the role of Taarak Mehta in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actor is super excited about the huge opportunity and is also nervous at the same time. The makers recently revealed Sachin’s look as Taarak Mehta on the sets.
Sachin talked about it during a recent interview with ETimes TV and shared, “I will try my best to fit into the shoes of this famous character of Taarak Mehta. Jis Tarah se paani mein shakar ghul jaata hai swaad anusar waise hi I will try my best to do justice to the role. I just want to request everyone to keep continuing to love our show and shower their blessings.”
When asked if he is under any kind of pressure as Sailesh essayed the role for close to 15 years, he replied, “I would say not just this character but whenever I step out for work, I am always a little nervous and anxious about my work. Every actor has that pressure to do good. I am getting a lot of inputs from our show’s producer Asit Modi ji, our directors Malav and Harshad, Sunayana (Fozdar) is giving me brilliant inputs and everyone here is so sweet that they are trying their best that I am not under any kind of pressure yaa mera pressure kam hojaaye. When I shared with Sunayana that I am feeling the pressure, she calmed me down and asked me not to worry. She told me ‘don’t worry, we will do our best and put in a lot energy.”
He added, “Whenever we start something new, we get a jittery feeling and that’s completely fine because if it’s not there we won’t be able to give our 100 percent. But when we are nervous we always strive to give our best. My directors and Asit sir are guiding me and I am taking baby steps to get used to the character and get comfortable with it.”
Sachin who has already commenced shooting for the show is excited to work with Dilip Joshi. “I am very excited and looking forward to working with Dilip Joshi ji. He’s currently not in town. When he returns to sets in a few days and I will get to shoot with him I know I will definitely get to learn a lot from him. I know I will get to do something new and exciting.”
The actor was greeted with a warm welcome from the cast members. Talking about it, he said, “All the members of the purush Mandal have supported me a lot. On my first day itself, they welcomed me in such a nice way and in warm way. They told me that they know I will do a good job and they are happy that I am doing the show.”
