Monday
The entire team has a lot of work. Everyone including Kunj, Twinkle and Sanjay are busy with their works. By 4.00 AM the work gets finished. Half of the team has already left for breaks.
Kunj Pings Twinkle.
Kunj: Can we go for a walk?
Twinkle: Walk?
Kunj: No work. Getting bored…
Twinkle: Okay.
Kunj is happy that she agreed. Twinkle pings Sanjay.
Twinkle: Sanjay, walk pe chale? (Can we go for walk?)
Sanjay: Aaj achanak tuje walk ka kyu suja? (You generally don’t ask me for walk? What happened?)
Twinkle: It is Kunj’s idea. I said okay..
Sanjay: Twinkle, please understand. He wants you to go for a walk with him. Not me.
Twinkle: Hey, he knows you come with me by default…
Sanjay: He didn’t ask me. That means he doesn’t want me to come…I am not coming.
Twinkle: No more excuses..You are coming.
Kunj comes out with his jacket and calls Twinkle. Twinkle and Sanjay also comes.
Kunj: Sanjay bhi aa reha hai? (He is also coming?)
Twinkle says yes and Kunj gives a pathetic look at Sanjay. Sanjay too has a similar expression.
Twinkle, Kunj and Sanjay are walking in the office campus. Sanjay deliberately asks Twinkle to stay in between him and Kunj.
Twinkle: Anyways we are in the office campus. Plus so many security guards are here. So why are you insisting?
Sanjay: Do what I am saying…I know office campus is safe for girls at any time. But still.
Twinkle obeys him and they walk for half an hour and come back. Kunj gets a call and he is busy with call. Twinkle and Sanjay comes back to the campus.
Sanjay: Ye tu ker kya rehi hai? (What is going on?)
Twinkle: Matlab? (What do you mean?)
Sanjay: Haan..Tu thodi duffer hai pyaar ke mamlon me…Per itni bhi nahi jitna tu abhi dikha rehi hai… Itna clearly dikhta hai ki vo tuje line mar reha hai….Ye tuje bhi pata hai..Itna bi bhav mat kha ki vo haath se nikal jaaye…Tuje ache se jaanta hun isliye keh reha hun, Kunj tere liye ek dum perfect hai…Baki teri marzi…
(I know you are a fool when it comes to love matter. But this time you are acting way too innocent. Anyone can make out that Kunj is in love with you and is trying hard to impress you. Don’t stretch it to that extent that it gets broken..I am your friend, so I feel he is the perfect match for you. Think about it.)
Sanjay leaves the floor.
Twinkle thinks. “Tu sahi keh reha hai…Me ache se jaanti hun ki Kunj mujse pyaar kerta hai. Aur shayad me bhi…Per isse pehle ki me haan kerdoon, Kunj ko ache se samajna chahti hun…Zindagi bhar ka commitment hai…Haan kerne se pehle 100% sure hona chahti hun. Apne life ka itna bada decision soch samaj ke lena chahti hun”
(Sanjay, you are right. I know Kunj loves me. I think I am also in love with him. But before I say yes to Kunj, I need to know all shades of Kunj. It is a life time commitment. I want to be 100% sure that I am saying yes to the right person. I want to observe him without his knowledge. )
Tuesday and Wednesday also they go for a walk. But Twinkle makes sure that Sanjay is also with them.
Thursday (Month end night)
Team is damn busy with their work. Pizzas are provided at their desk and the team is having it while working on system. Twinkle, Kunj and Sanjay are standing at the floor looking at them.
Kunj: Itna hard work kerne vala team ho to unke liye risk lene me bhi kya harz hai…(This risk seems very less infront of the hard work the team is doing…)
Twinkle turns back hearing some noise only to find HR Natasha coming into the floor. Twinkle couldn’t understand what to do and how to inform Kunj. She holds Kunj’s hand so tight and that to for the first time…Kunj was surprised to realize that Twinkle was holding his hand. He just looked at her and could sense the fear in her eyes. Kunj keeping his eyes wide open gave her an expression of what happend (still holding her hand). Twinkle just made a blink and he could feel a sorry expression in her eyes. He understood that HR is coming and it is over. Sanjay also saw Twinkle tensed and he looks back and he is also tensed now.
Twinkle thinks. “It is all my fault. I should n’t have given this idea of pizza. Kunj’s career is finished. I can’t let this happen…He is my…my…”
Kunj holds her hand softly once and makes her calm down then leaves her hand. Kunj has not even once looked back. Kunj closes his eyes once and then.
Kunj: So Team….Give a huge round of applause for Antony (manager)….For giving us such a nice pizza party…
Twinkle, Sanjay and the entire team looks at Kunj puzzled. But in a fraction of seconds, Twinkle and Sanjay understood.
Twinkle, Sanjay: Come on guys…
Kunj: I understand you guys have month end work..But don’t forget that Antony has provided you pizzas at desk because of that only…
Team starts clapping. By then Natasha reaches near Kunj.
Natasha: Hi Kunj, Kis baat ki party chal rehi hai? (What is the party about?)
Kunj: Hi, Pleasure to meet you. Actually Antony has given the team a pizza party because he went to Australia.
Natasha: Ohh…Antony’s party…Enjoy team…
Kunj: Join us please..How come here?
Natsaha (takes a piece of pizza): Thank you. Uday has asked for loan details. He told me that he will be in night shift. So I stayed back today to meet him.
Uday’s face turns pale. He never thought that it will take this turn. He expected that Natasha will come and scold Twinkle and her career will be finished. But to his surprise, Kunj came in night shift and Kunj took this to another level.
Kunj: Uday, Your work is done…Natasha wants to meet you.
Uday: Sorry, I forgot to tell you Natasha… I have dropped the thought of taking loan from company.
Uday didn’t have guts to say anything infront of Kunj. Natsha says bye to everyone and leaves.
Kunj, Twinkle and Sanjay are in his cabin…
Sanjay: What an awesome idea Kunj…I thought we are finished…
Twinkle: But what if Natasha cross checks with Antony?
Kunj: It won’t happen. HR can’t go beyond Manager’s decision. She would have probably cross checked it, if Antony was here. She won’t make an international call to check this. Plus Antony is typical flirt… No girl would try to get in touch with him for such a stupid reason.
Sanjay (clapping): Mindblowing Sir… You are the best…
Sanjay leaves. Kunj asks Twinkle to call Uday.
Kunj: How dare you do this to your team?
Uday: I am so sorry…
Kunj (raises his voice): Sorry…Do you know what you have done?
Kunj: If Alisha moves out or get a promotion you are supposed to be the next team lead. Do you think your team will ever trust you after this?
Twinkle: Kunj please…He is a brilliant analyst..Please forgive him for his first mistake..
Kunj: I want you to stay out of this. You better stay here silently..Or else I will send you out of my cabin. Do you want me to do that?
Twinkle was horrified to see him like this. She stands there silently. Kunj scolds him and make him understand what he has done.
Kunj: I don’t usually forgive people easily. As per your team lead Twinkle, I am giving you one more chance…Get back to work now.
Twinkle and Uday leaves.
Uday: I am sorry Twinkle. I wanted to let you down infornt of the team. Instead you were defending and trying to protect me from Kunj…I am extremely sorry..
Twinkle consoles him.
4.15 AM
Kunj pings Twinkle
Kunj: Let’s go for walk.
Twinkle was eagerly waiting for his ping as he was angry at him and was not talking to her much other than official things.
Twinkle: Sure.
Kunj: I want to go for a walk with you…not with Sanjay…Hope you understood…
Twinkle: Okay. I won’t call him.
Twinkle and Kunj leaves for walk.
Twinkle: I am sorry. It is all because of me. It is my fault that I couldn’t make them realize the seriousness.
Kunj: That’s okay. I was angry on you because you defended him.
Twinkle: I am sorry…
Kunj: You better be…Anyways leave this topic…Let’s talk something else…
Twinkle: Uff…Kya gussa tha…Muje to laga tum muje mar daloge… (I didn’t know your temper is this high…)
Kunj: Aisa hi hun me…Jab dimag kisakh tha hai to bohut ganda kisakh tha hai… (I am like this only… I don’t get easily angry. But when I am, it takes time to cool down…)
Twinkle: If this is the case, I will have to think again…
Kunj: What?
Twinkle: After these many chat breaks and 4.00AM walks I have came to a decision…But after seeing your ‘Angry young man’ roop, I think I will have to rethink my decision.
Kunj (With a cute smile): Take your time..I won’t force you to give a quick decision. I won’t defend myself that I am not like that..This is my nature…If someone backstabs me, I can’t tolerate that….Let it be my friends, my team or my family….which now includes you as well…
Twinkle blushes…Kunj could see her blushing in the office street lights…He also has a soft smile in his face…
