The state government of Maharashtra recently announced that shootings for TV and films will be allowed in Mumbai but only for eight hours a day. The makers of the tv shows are skeptical about this decision and are not sure whether they want to come back to Mumbai and shoot. The makers of the dance reality show Super Dancer 4, judged by Shilpa Shetty, Anurag Basu and Geeta Kapoor, have planned to continue to shoot in Daman till the restrictions in Mumbai are completely lifted.
Producer Ranjeet Thakur, in a recent conversation with BT said, “We are not planning to resume shooting in Mumbai now due to the time restrictions. Currently, we can shoot only from 9 am to 5 pm and it is not possible to finish shooting in such a small time frame. So, we will continue shooting in Daman this month. We will wait for the new guidelines and if they allow us to shoot for more time, then we will come back next month.”
Talking about the bio-bubble format, he said, “Everyone gets checked regularly and we take all the necessary precautions. Even when the judges travel from Mumbai to Daman, they have to get their tests done before they start shooting. The bio-bubble format is working for us. It is important to follow all safety protocols. We have a great talent pool and I am happy that masses enjoy the show.”
