I’m back and I missed TU sooooo…much. it feels good to be back home. And thanku my lovely friends for your love and support. This is what families are for. And my exam went good. Csir had published a new ‘final’ cut off. They raised the cutoff marks and I’m out by just two. I felt really bad but then felt light reading all of yours comforting words. Thanku so much guys and love you all.
As for the story, we are heading toeards the climax
Our girls gang are seated at the café for coffee.
Pragya: why did you call me early to the café
Isha: I wanted to have coffee with you guys
Sanchi: we have that so often. Whats special today
Isha: just. I wished so. Do I need a reason
Sanchi: why getting so dramatic. Are you leaving for some place
Pragya: oh my god. Do have cancer
Isha: shut up guys. Why are your imaginations so gross
Isha tries doing silly things to get their attention to her ring. She rubs her forehead
Sanchi: is their something on your face.
Isha: no
Pragya: the only good thing about my job is I get to drink Delhi’s best and most expensive coffee for free
Sanchi: that’s the best part of having friends with benefits.
They do a hi five.
Isha: ok, that’s it guys. I need to announce something
Pragya: are you selling this coffee shop. Is that why you called us. To give us your last coffee
Sanchi: but why. Business I good. Are you thinking of travelling around for writing.
Pragya: you can just ask someone to look after the café while your gone. No need to give it away. I’ll work here part time if you want me to
Isha is fed up
Isha: cut it out guys. You both are the dumbest thing that ever happened to me. She shows her ring. This is the surprise
Pragya: is that diamond!!!
Sanchi: oh my god isha, really?
They start screaming like silly college girls earning stares from nearby tables
Isha: sshh… Guys. You’ll scare away my customer. But they can’t hold in their excitement and happiness. They three share a friendly hug.

Veer worriedly rushes to the café looking for sanchi.
Isha: wats up veer. Why are you so worried
Veer: where’s Sanchi. I need to see her , now!
Isha: it’s her working hours. Where do you expect her to be
Veer: I’ve already been there. Just ask her to call me if you get hold of her. Just pls make sure she calls me
Isha: what have you done this time veer. I swear I won’t spare you if you hurt Sanchi again.
Veer: I promise I’ll protect her this time. Just help me get to her
Just as Veer leaves the café, pragya enters and gives him a meaningful stare
Isha: pragya, did Sanchi contact you. Why is her phone off (trying to call her)
Pragya: veer filed for custody case. Sanchi left the office as soon as she recieves the petition.
Isha collapses on the phone. Pragya rushes to her and consoles her. Isha cries hugging pragya
Isha: she is the only happiness Sanchi have. How can they snatch that too from her?
Pragya: don’t worry, we know Sanchi. She is a strong person. She has called for an out of the court settlement tomorrow. Raavi is not going to go anywhere.
Isha takes her phone and call someone
Raavi leaves the school with Arav.
Arav: I wanted to ask you something for a long time
Raavi: what
Arav: will you be my girlfriend
Raavi: didn’t we discuss this earlier. I’m too young for a boyfriend
Arav: it’s different this time. Actually I wanted to ask that will you be my girlfriend. And don’t answer me now. Answer when you are grown up enough to have a boyfriend.
Raavi: what…am I a train seat. Are you taking a reservation ticket
Arav: promise me I’ll be the first person you think of when you need a boyfriend
Raavi: I’ll think about it
Just then Gayatri stops by.
Gayatri: hi raavi beta. Come, let me drop you home
Raavi: it’s ok dadi. I’ll go home with my friend.
Gayatri: bring your friend also along
The two hop into the car.
Gayatri: raavi, do you want to go shopping with dadi
Raavi: I would love to, but am too tired
Gayatri: should I take you to your papas home. You can freshen up and then we can have a great time together
Raavi: bit I need to tell mamma. She might get worried
Gayatri: well tell her later
Raavi: no dadi. This won’t be right
Gayatri: well, raavi. Would you like to come and stay with your papa
Raavi: what about mamma
Gayatri: you can go and visit her whenever you want
Raavi: dadi, I know you all love me. But I never missed papa or anyone because I was with the world’s best mamma. But even if I have all of you beside me, I can never stop missing mamma. If I choose , it’ll be both papa and mamma, or only mamma
Gayatri: you speak like your mother
Raavi: I’m her daughter.
Arav holds her hand and calm her
Raavi: meri pyaari dadi, you are so….sweet, just like natasha’s dadi
Gayatri: who is that
Raavi: she is my friend
Gayatri: maska lagana apne papa se seekha hai
Raavi murmurs “ thank god mamma is not stupid like Tanuja”
Gayatri drops Arav at his home and drops Ravi at the café. Isha rushes to Raavi seeing her ith Gayatri. She hugs raavi and takes her inside. She comes back after sending her in
Gayatri: spend all the time you want with her. Because once I take her away, I’ll make sure even you people’s shadows don’t fall on her
Isha: try all that you can. Even I promise, raavi would never leave her mothers side. I challenge you again, you’ll have to beg Sanchi to meet your granddaughter in the future. And I’ll make sure that she doesn’t grant your wish.
Gayatri smirks : tomorrow you’ll know who’ll be begging before whom
They both leave in the opposite direction.
Sanchi is sitting at a park looking at Raavi’s pics on her phone. Kabir rushes to her.
Kabir: are you ok. Why do you not pick up your phone
Sanchi: why are you here…did isha call you
Kabir: we were worried
Sanchi: there is nothing much to worry about. I just needed to be alone for some time. I’m very attached to this neighbourhood. This is the playground I grew up playing in. This is the place where my papa used to teach me about life. We used to spend a lot of time together here.This is the place where I take my life’s important decisions. And I met my papa for the last time also here. Whenever I have an important case, I come here . I can feel my papa around when I’m here.
Kabir: (sits beside Sanchi and places his hand over hers) it’s gonna be ok. Raavi won’t go anywhere
Sanchi: I know it’s gonna be ok. I won’t let raavi go anywhere. And I’m not worried about that at all. Believe me. It’s just that every time I try to understand and forgive him, he proves me wrong. I can’t be hurt again. I don’t want to be.
Kabir looks at Sanchi
Sanchi places her other hand over his
Sanchi: kabir, I know your feelings are genuine. But you should stop, before you end up hurt. I don’t know if I’ll be ever ready to accept someones heart again. So please let’s stop.
She gets up and leaves a teary kabir behind and walks away.
The magistrates office
Both the parties are present and the council for the petitioner starts accusing Sanchi
Lawyer: miss Sanchi had hidden the fact that my client Mr Veer had a daughter. She kept her away from his family and also have her surname to her daughter. He was denied fatherhood for nine long years. She couldn’t be more cruel dr veer just for taking revenge. How can we entrust the child to such a woman. Also, my client has the right to spend his time with his daughter. He also dreams of reviving all those moments he lost to spend with his daughter. Her first steps, her first smile, her first day at school…and many more. These are moments that comes only once. And once the chance is lost, you can’t recreate it. You need to create new memories. And please don’t deny my client His right to be a good father to his daughter
Magistrate: dr veer, what is your thought
Veer: I know I couldn’t be a good husband. But I want to be a good father. I very well know that a child needs both her parents. It’s not just nine years, but ten. I couldn’t be beside my wife when she needed me the most. When she was having a rough time. And I regret that. I couldn’t take my angel when she first came into this world. I couldn’t carry her around or tell her stories. Sanchi had to do it all alone. And now, i want to share it with her. I don’t want to take home my daughter alone. I also want her mother to come with me. I want to take home my family
The magistrate smiles.
M: miss Sanchi, what is your thought. Do you agree with him
Sanchi: no
Eveeyones expressions fall.
Sanchi: I just want my daughter. And Mr Veer has no right to claim her from me because he had already signed an affidavit during our divorce stating that he would never claim any rights to my daughter in future.
She submits the paper
Sanchi: I don’t want to take this to Court. Because the person who is gonna get hurt the most is my daughter. And I don’t want that.
Magistrate checks the papers
M: what is this doctor veer. You have clearly stated here that you will never claim your daughter from miss Sanchi. Then how can you file for a custody petition
Veer is shocked and bewildered.
Veer: it’s a lie. I never did anything such. (He looks at Sanchi) what is all this. Why are you lying
He checks the papers and is shocked to find his sign
M: is that sign yours
Veer: yes, but….
Sanchi: Mr Veer had signed those papers during our divorce settlement. Instead an alimony I had sought sole rights over my child. And his mother had collected his sign on these papers.
Veer is fully broken seeing this turn of events.
Later veer rushes to sanchi’s cabin.
Sanchi: why are you still here.
Veer: our conversation is not over yet
Sanchi: there’s nothing more to talk. I knew one day you would try to snatch my child from me. And it was good that I thought of doing so then.
Veer: how could you become so stone hearted. How did you even think I can do such a thing
Sanchi: you already did it Veer
Veer: it was mom. Trust me..I didn’t know a thing. I just signed the papers not knowing what it was. Do you think I can ever separate you from raavi. I want you both in my life
Sanchi: I think u already got your answer. So please leave
Veer locks the cabin and pins Sanchi to the wall
Veer: not today. I won’t. I won’t until everything is cleared. You were the one to send me divorce papers through mom. Then why are you acting as if you are the victim
Sanchi: how much more will you lie veer. When your mother brought me the papers, you had already signed it. I signed only after you did.
Veer: you are lying
Sanchi: did you check the papers. Did you see my sign in it
Veer loosens his grip
Veer: but mom told….why would she lie to me
Sanchi: it’s not her fault. Actually you were already craving for one. You just got the perfect opportunity and signed it without even giving a second thought. You were happy that you won’t have to feel guilty and burden since I sent the papers. You didn’t even call me once to ask why I needed a divorce. It was you who wanted it. So stop blaming others
Veer: but you also took the alimony. You must not have found it difficult to leave without me
Sanchi: (she laughs sarcastically) is that what your mother told you. I didn’t take a single penny from her. I am here because of my hard work. I hope you heard me earlier. The only thing I asked was that you will not claim anything from me in future. Whatever we both had rights on during our married life will belong to me alone after our divorce. Your mother took me lightly.
Veer leaves from the cabin angrily. Sanchi just collapses on the floor, “ well done Sanchi, the worst has already passed”
Veer drives home angrily. He thinks of all the instants when Gayatri used to instigate him against Sanchi commenting on his poor living conditions. How she made him sign the divorce papers saying Sanchi had sent it
Gayatri is furious to hear about turn of events. She swears to make Sanchi kneel before her. Veer enters just then. His eyes are all red
Gayatri: don’t worry veer. I promise you , I’ll get raavi for you. We will take the case to upper court
Veer pushes away her hand consoling him
Veer: enough mom. Aur kitne ghirogi aap. You have finished it all for me. You have destroyed my life
Gayatri: what are you saying veer
Veer: how could you do this to me. I loved you so much and respected you. And what did you do. You snatched away my love and happiness. You separated me from Sanchi. Like a fool, I obeyed to whatever you said. She was the only thing I ever wanted in my life. And you took it away. Would you have done this if I was your real son
Gayatri: veer!
Veer: Mrs Gayatri malhotra, you have proven that sauteli hamesha sauteli hothi hain. Kabhi sakhi nahi ban sakthi.
Veer leaves the house angrily. Gayatri calls out in pain. She holds her chest and collapses. Riya comes rushing to her side.
The scene shifts to SDCH. Veer and Riya are waiting outside the ICU. Sanchi also reaches there. Doctor kabir comes outside
Kabir: she is stable now. You can meet her. Just make sure you don’t give her any stress.
Veer and Riya rushes in. Sanchi turns to go but kabir stops her
Kabir: it’s good you are here. Mrs malhotra was asking for you. I think you should atleast meet her
Inside the ICU Gayatri apologises to veer
Gayatri: I never saw you different from Riya. I always favoured you over Riya. I wanted to see you happy and lead a good and respectable life. I was wrong to think that money and status had more power than love. I was so blind in my Mamtha for you that I couldn’t see your love.
Just then Sanchi and kabir enters
Gayatri folds her hand
Gayatri: mein tum dono ki gunegar hoon. In my ego, I destroyed both your lives. God would never forgive me for separating you both. I never accepted you thinking my son would never be happy with someone like you. And in my ghamand, I snatched away his happiness. I snatched away his smile and his reason to stay happy. Please forgive me Sanchi.
Sanchi: it’s all in the past. We should just move on
Gayatri: today I’m saying this from my heart. I want to accept you whole heartedly. I want to ask for your hand for my son veer. Please comeback in his life. This time I want to take you home with all rituals and the honour you deserve. Think of this as my last wish.
Riya: mom, please. You are not going to die. Please stop talking nonsense. How can you ask her
Gayatri: I have come to my senses now. Sanchi, why are you not saying anything. I know you still love each other
Sanchi and Veer looks at each other….Kabir looks on sad
