TV actor Bhupinder Singh, known for his roles in popular serials like Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Tere Shehr Mein, has recently made headlines for disturbing reasons. Singh, along with three accomplices, faces severe charges including murder, attempt to murder, causing hurt, provocation, and a criminal act involving multiple individuals under various sections of the IPC.
The incident stemmed from a dispute between Bhupinder, a resident of village Kuan Kheda in the district of Bijnor, and his neighbor Gurdeep regarding the cutting of Eucalyptus trees on Singh’s farm. The situation had escalated previously, resulting in a confrontation between the two. However, matters took a tragic turn on Sunday when, following another argument, Bhupinder and his associates allegedly opened fire on Gurdeep and his family members, causing fatal injuries to Gurdeep’s son, Govind, and injuring others.
Updating on the case, Neeraj Kumar Jadaun, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Bijnor, shared details: “The actor entered the deceased man’s land and started cutting the eucalyptus trees there, which further escalated the conflict. He admitted to firing six rounds from his revolver during the incident, while the deceased and the other family members were unarmed. Bhupinder acted with full consciousness, being completely sober and aware of his actions, firing shots mostly at close range. Fortunately, the other injured family members are receiving treatment at a hospital and are now out of danger.”
Local sources in the village have described Bhupinder as a troublemaker known for instigating disputes. Despite attempts to portray the incident as an act of self-defense, his efforts proved futile. Legal proceedings are now underway, and Bhupinder Singh is in custody, facing the consequences of the tragic incident.
