Hello friends, i am upset with you all for giving one word comments. I know you all have time restrictions. But long comments give me motivation to write when time restricts me. Please my dear friends give long comments as it is the only way to discuss the story with you all.
Chapter-14
New friend
Ishanya got conscious after an hour all this time Shivaay sat there staring at her. She got shocked seeing him infront of her and tried to get up. The nurse who just came to check her drip helped her to sit and went.
“Mr. Oberoi, What are you doing here?” Asked Ishanya in a low voice.
“Waiting for you to get conscious.” Shivaay replied in his style.
“What? Why? And how did you know that I am here?” Asked Ishanya shocked by his reply.
“The doctor called me to inform about you.” Replied Shivaay.
“God!! This hospital needs to be thought about privacy of it’s patients!” Exclaimed Ishanya.
“What?!” Asked Shivaay in surprise.
“Nothing. Why did you came here for me even if the doctor called you?” Ishanya asked Shivaay.
“What kind of question is it? I am worried for you and I know that there is no one here in the city to take care of you, last time too you were alone in the hospital.” He replied surprising Ishanya.
“Why? Why are you worried for me? Why do you care about me? I am your business rival!!” Asked Ishanya.
“Who said that you are my rival?!” Asked Shivaay while Ishanya just gave a look in reply.
He sighed and said, “Fine!! You ‘were’ my rival. But I regard you as my friend now.”
“Friend?!!” Asked Ishanya with surprise.
“Yeah! Friend! You must have thought that you will never be able get this chance, right! But you are lucky to get it!!” Said Shivaay acting proudly.
Ishanya sighed audibly and said, “Mr. Oberoi. Will you please leave now? I want to be alone.”
“Ok, if you say, I’ll wait for you in the lobby.” He replied.
“What lobby? Mr. Oberoi, you can leave now. No need to be here in the hospital for me.” Said Ishanya
“And who are you to decide this?? I am staying here till the psychiatrist comes to examine you.” He replied shocking Ishanya
“What? Mr. Oberoi, are you Ok? Why are you concerned about me?” She asked
“Yes, Ishanya I am fine. It’s you who are in hospital!! And, I am concerned for you because I am your friend.” Replied Shivaay as it is so obvious for him.
“Oh! God!!” Exclaimed Ishanya and clutched her head.
“What happened? Should I call doctor??” Asked Shivaay in worry
“No, Mr. Oberoi. Please leave!! You are not my friend, you don’t have to be here!!” Said Ishanya desperate to make Shivaay go from there.
“Ishanya, I know you are angry at me because of what I did. But I realized that it is my mistake, listen to me once.” He requested her.
“No, Mr. Oberoi. Please, just leave from here. I need sometime to be alone.” She said sounding desperate.
“Ok, I’ll wait in the lobby.” He said and went out as he remembered the doctor saying not to make her anxious.
“God!! Is he crazy??! Exclaimed Ishanya after he went.
She pressed the button beside her bed to call nurse and asked for her phone when she came in. She took her phone even after the nurse denied her. The nurse went outside and said that to Shivaay who came towards the door and saw her calling someone from the outside.
He thought she was calling one of her friends to inform about her being admitted in hospital. Inside Ishanya was talking to her friend Nandita about banishing that news.
“What? What do you mean by saying it can’t happen with money? Can’t you negotiate one deal?!!” Ishanya yelled at Nandita.
“Trust me Ishanya, I tried to buy him but he is not ready to stop the airing for money as he thinks that the news can bring him high trps and fame as No.1 Channel!! Exclaimed Nandita.
Tears fell down from Ishanya’s eyes. Her voice chocked while asking, “So, there is no way to stop this from airing!!”
“There is only one way Ishanya.” Replied Nandita.
“What is it?” Asked Ishanya hopefully.
“Scaring that channel.” Replied Nandita.
“What?” Asked Ishanya in confusion.
“Yes, Ishanya. The channel will definitely stop it’s airing if we scare them about the consequences of it. We need someone powerful who has a position to scare the channel.” Explained Nandita.
“Raizada!! Will ASR work?!” Asked Ishanya.
“No, Ishanya. This is not Delhi. We need someone from Mumbai.” Said Nandita.
“From Mumbai? But who?” Exclaimed Nandita.
“Think Ishanya. Think of some contact who can help us in this situation. In the mean time, I’ll try to talk with the channel again.” Said Nandita.
“Ok.” Replied Ishanya and cut the call.
Ishanya closed her eyes and let the tears flow from her eyes. She is feeling like a looser, lonely, scared. She is experiencing the same horrible pain like she lost her father just now.
She travelled back to the day she lost her father, she saw her father laying life-less in the stretcher. She is yelling, crying, pleading her father to wake-up and help her in this situation.
Shivaay saw her fell back crying, sobbing and went inside in hurry. He went towards her and put his hand on her shoulder shaking her calling her name, but Ishanya wasn’t listening anything.
She was just in semi-conscious state repeating the words, “Help me, daddy. Please, come back.”
He was surprised by her words and was trying to make her conscious when doctor came there and asked him to stay outside. He was going out when nurse handed over the buzzing cell phone to him.
He took and went outside to attend the call. He was about to say something but Nandita didn’t let him with her questions.
“Hello, Ishanya. Did you think of someone? This channel head is not ready to listen to me!!” Said Nandita
“Ah….! Ishanya is unconscious. I am Shivaay Singh Oberoi talking.” Replied Shivaay shocking Nandita.
“OMG!! Mr. SSO! You are with Ishanya??” Exclaimed Nandita.
“Yeah!!” He replied.
Nandita thought to ask for Shivaay’s help as he has the power to stop the channel from airing the news not only that he can wipe out the news completely. And she know Ishanya wouldn’t have asked him but she doesn’t have any choice now, she have to request Shivaay to protect Ishanya as she know Ishanya would be finished and would fall into the same pit which she raised from with her hard work and strength if the news airs.
She said everything to Shivaay and requested him to stop the news from airing. Shivaay, knowing the reason of her distress got determined to solve it.
Shivaay made a couple of calls and got to know that the news is about an MMS scandal! He got shocked. He thought about the pain she was experiencing. Now he knew which traumatic incident she had gone through.
He ran his fingers in his hair thinking about the pain she must have gone through. Slowly, he understood the reasons of her behavior towards him. Now he understood the reason of her anger on that day in coffee shop. He understood that it is her fear in trusting him. How can she easily trust him after what she went through!!
A lone tear fell from his eyes thinking about her. He wants kill that ex-boyfriend of her who made her go through all this by publishing her MMS!! “This had became a trend now-a-days. These guys trap girls in love and do all this to make themselves feel like heroes!! Aise ladkon ko line mein khada karke goli maar dena chahiye! Galti who kare aur badnami un ladkiyon ko jhelni padthi hai!!” He thought to himself.
Any girl would be shattered completely after going through all this and will have trust issues to top it up society’s taunts!! She seems to have lost her parents too. He recalled her panic attacks and her break-down. He recalled her words pleading her dad. Really, he hadn’t thought something this drastic might have happened with her not even in his wildest dreams. He always got impressed by her business skills and her attitude.
He appreciated her strength in fighting this and for becoming the cool business woman she is now and reaching to the position which only few women could achieve even after going through all this.
His respect for her increased and he promised himself to protect her from now onwards and become her real friend genuinely not for his ego.
It just took a couple of calls for Shivaay to stop the news from airing and he went out of the hospital to meet the journalist and get the memory chip to destroy it himself. He promised himself to wipe this news completely.
