Chapter-45

New rise

O’bros’ spent the whole night in the waiting lounge, with the new day’s sun Ishanya too came into consciousness. She was still very weak. O’bros’ who sat outside the room, were called by the nurse saying the patient got conscious.

They went inside and stood around her bed. They got relieved seeing her. “How are you feeling now?” the trio asked in unison.

Ishanya tried to sit up in the bed while the nurse helped her. “I am ok.” She said with the coarse voice as she just got up. “Water.” Ishanya asked feeling dryness in her throat.

Before the O’bros’ can react nurse helped her drink the water and gave her the medicines which she needed to take and left from there leaving her alone with O’bros’.

The trio looked at each other in awkwardness not knowing what to say or talk to her. “It’s ok guys. I am fine now. You can leave.” Ishanya said to them.

“Yes, I’ll stay here, you both go and get freshen up.” Omkara said to them.

“Why should I leave? You both leave, I’ll stay with slapping fairy.” Rudra said.

“Guys, I am the elder one, I am going to stay here, and you two leave.” Shivaay said declaring.

“And what am I? A doll? All three of you leave from here or else I’ll start shouting which is not good in my condition.” She warned them and all three got out without even a word.

At the door the trio looked at each other with questioning looks and asked, “Now, what?” in unison.

“Why is she angry on us?” Rudra asked in confusion.

“She is not angry dumbbell, she is closing herself up again.” Omkara said to him.

“But why?” Shivaay asked and both ShivRu looked at Omkara.

“Why are you guys staring me? I don’t know anything.” Omkara said to them.

“But you were only telling that she is closing up herself and not angry on us!!” Rudra asked Omkara.

“Yeah, but I don’t know the reason.” Omkara lied to him.

“I think she just wants to be alone for some time, nothing else.” Shivaay said remembering that she reacted same way in previous times when she got attacks.

“Yeah!” Omkara exclaimed remembering the same thing.

“Ok then, let’s get freshen up and come back till then she’ll be back to normal I guess.” Shivaay said to them.

“What if something is needed! I will stay here.” Omkara said.

“No, O. We should think about her feelings, if she doesn’t want any of us near her for some time, let her be.” Rudra said surprising ShivOm.

“Wow!! Rudy. You are started to talk deep.” Omkara said and he just smiled at them as if he is conveying that he is not a kid like they think of them.

They left from there and were in the car, when they heard a phone ring which is neither of theirs. They searched the car and found Ishanya’s phone which fell down yesterday when they were taking her to hospital. They have seen an unknown number calling.

When Omkara took the call and tried to talk, the other person said, “Sorry, wrong number” and cut the call.

In hospital Ishanya is trying to process what had happened to her and how she would react as for now she is just numb, it may be because of the shock or because of medicines she doesn’t know reason.

“I think I should talk to Srikanth, may be then I can get out of this numbness.” She said to herself and pressed the bell beside her bed to call the nurse.

“Yes, mam. Do you need something?” the nurse asked coming to her.

“When will Dr. Srikanth be on duty? I want to meet him.” She asked.

“He will be here in half an hour mam, he had already scheduled a meeting with you yesterday itself.” The nurse replied making Ishanya glad.

“Ok, thank you.” Ishanya said and the nurse went out.

O’bros’ are in kitchen making something healthy for Ishanya rather than the hospital food. No one is saying but all are very worried for Ishanya. They are worried that how is she going to handle this situation.

“O, I am scared for Ishanya.” Rudra said finally letting out his worry.

Before anyone could reply Ishanya’s phone rang, Omkara checked it and said, “It’s the same wrong number again!!” and he cut the call.

“Don’t worry, Rudra. Ishanya is a fighter you see she’ll handle this situation too and when we go to hospital she will talk to us like before. Nothing is going to change.” Shivaay said to him and silently hoped that to happen.

“I hope so.” Omkara said it out.

And again Ishanya’s phone rang. This time Omkara took the call and before he could say anything, the person from the other side asked, “This is Ishanya’s number, right? Can I talk to Ms. Ishanya Srinivas?”

“Ishanya can’t talk now as I got her phone by mistake, you call after sometime, she’ll then talk to you. By the way, may I know who is talking? I will inform her that you called.” Omkara said to him.

“No, it’s ok. I will call her later.” The person said and finished the call.

ShivRu looked at him in surprise with open mouth. Omkara noticed it and asked, “What?”

“You have lied o!!” Rudra exclaimed.

“So?” Omkara said not realizing.

“Omkara singh Oberoi and lying? It is really a huge thing!!” Rudra said and Omkara became conscious.

“From when did you start lying Om?” Shivaay asked in surprise.

ShivRu was staring at him waiting for an answer while Omkara was thinking about him lying.

‘yeah, I started to lie these days, and I didn’t even noticed it! That’s the magic of my Ishanya.’ He thought to himself.

“Ah….You guys know how Ishanya is. She wouldn’t want to let just anyone know that she is in hospital and I didn’t even know who he is to Ishanya, so how can I tell him truth?” Omkara said explaining himself.

ShivRu agreed to it but Rudra thought to pull Omkara’s leg and said, “whatever it is o! You lied. You have to admit it is slapping fairy’s magic.” Omkara looked at him surprise as Rudra just said the words which are in his mind.

In hospital, Ishanya was sat in the bed and Srikanth sat opposite to her in the chair. “So, you are feeling nothing and that is your problem?” Srikanth asked making sure he got what she said.

Ishanya just nodded in yes.

“Really Ishanya? Is that your problem?” Srikanth asked her again.

“Why are you asking the same again and again? I have told it, ain’t I?” Ishanya said getting irritated by it.

“See you are getting angry, then why are you saying that you are feeling nothing?” he asked.

“I am angry at you not on the incident that happened to me. I am feeling nothing about that incident.” She explained to him.

“So, when you get panic attacks, do you sit later and think what you felt at the time and how you should be feeling about it?” he asked.

“No, but it is different.” She said whining not getting what he was saying.

“Ishanya, the incident had happened, it is over. Why are you trying to live it again by thinking about it? If you are not feeling anything, then let it be.” He said explaining to her.

“But Srikanth the incident……….” She was saying but cut in middle by him.

“Ishanya, don’t strain yourself. Your brain had already reacted to that incident but you couldn’t realize it. This epileptic attack after almost two years is the reaction of your brain on this incident.” He said to her.

“Now, as you’ve already reacted to this incident, just move on. Think about present not what happened in the past.” He said bringing some sense to her.

“you are right the incident had passed and I’ve reacted to it too now I have to concentrate on today not on the moments which passed away.” She said understanding what he said.

“Thank you Srikanth. Talking to you always helps me in understanding the situation better.” She said expressing her gratitude.

“Well that’s my job madam for which I get paid. So, no thanks.” He said cheering her up.

“If you want to say thanks, say that to oberois’ they were here all day yesterday and were so worried about you.” He said to her.

“Why should I? Just like it is your job to counsel me, it is their duty to help me. They are my friends.” Ishanya replied surprising him.

“Wow!! Is it you only talking? Seriously, you are accepting some relation as yours. It is a very positive change. I thought you would close yourself up again to them and start to behave professionally, but it is good that you thought like this they deserve it.” He said appreciating her as she is moving on from the past.

“I know, they have always stood by me no matter what!! I got these people in my life after going through a lot of jerks. So, I know their value. How can I myself make them away from me?” she said expressing herself.

Srikanth smiled at Ishanya and nodded. He was happy that this incident brought positive changes in her and made her see the good side of the people.

He is glad that Ishanya chose to see the brighter side rather than the dark side and not going back to her shell. Infact she is moving on step by step and he appreciates her inner strength and O’Bros’ who are making this possible.
