The first gift of love

This OS is inspired by the Malayalam movie Devaragam.The characters Vishnu and Lakshmi are taken from this movie.This movie did not show a proper confession scene of Vishnu and Lakshmi.So I wrote their confession scene through my imagination.The songs used in this OS are also from the movie Devaragam.I dedicate this OS to my favourite actress…the late Sridevi.I want her to be alive forever at least in movies and stories.

Vishnu’s point of view…

“Lakshmi is a beautiful damsel.I can’t deny it.When I saw her first at the dance event during the temple festival itself her cute innocent beautiful face caught my attention”.

“When she and her friends gave me Prasad purposefully she kept the plate of Prasad forward as she wanted her Prasad plate to grab my attention.She looked at me carefully to know my reaction.

I ignored it as I found it funny.Lakshmi was a funny attention seeker who always did all kinds of mischievous activities to catch my attention.I made fun of her..I never left any chance to tease the drama queen.She often got embarrassed before me.I even ignored her though she wanted me to notice her.But to be frank I was enjoying her tantrums secretly.When she drowned in the river for a moment I thought I lost my life.I realized that she is my life and I wanted my life to live.So I did’nt let the river swallow her.I pulled her closer holding her tight not letting her go away from me to danger..

I carried her in my arms to the shore.

I gazed at her wet face.She looked so innocent.Something in her pulled her towards my heart.
I don’t know how Lakshmi entered my heart.I can’t stop thinking of her.The day and night I am thinking only of Lakshmi.My dreams are also acquired by her.My heart craves to see her.I waited for Lakshmi to bring me the milk bottle like always.But unfortunately instead of her it’s her dearest maid who brought milk for me.I miss her very badly.My heart is restless to see her”.

Vishnu went near the beautiful expecting his Lakshmi there.As he expected Lakshmi was there.She was lying on the grass wetting her milky feet in the river.

“Lakshmi” He called her.
She looked at him.Her face was glowing seeing him.
“Vishnu!She blushed as she called his name.

He smiled happily seeing her.His heart got fine only after seeing her.
Lakshmi got up.
“You came here to do painting.Right?
Vishnu always found this area to do painting which is his passion.
He replied,
“I already did a painting.You have not seen it.
Lakshmi smiled.
“Is it?What did you draw?Can I see it?
He replied,
“Of course you can.But before that I want to ask you one thing.Why did’nt you come to give me the milk?
“After drowning in the river I caught cold.That’s why I did’nt come.You did’nt get milk?I had sent you the milk.
She asked.
“I got the milk you sent me.But it was not given by your hand.That’s a big difference.
He said.
She raised her pretty eye brows and looked at his face.
“Why such a big difference?She asked.

She blushed.

He held her hand

and said,”But I never let you know my feelings.I guess now it is the right time to tell you that.
She looked at him eagerly when he said it.

“I felt gloomy when I saw someone else in your place.I missed you”.

She was surprised as well as happy.
She asked him,
“Why did you miss me?”

Vishnu looked at her deeply.
Lakshmi looked down shyly.

Madhana gaana pallavi hrudhaya jeeva ranjini
Ithalidumee nimishangal dhanyam dhanyam

He embraced her from behind by her waist giving her cold vibes through her body.
She felt a strange sensation in her skin.

He whispered in her ears softly making her feel his breath on her skin
“I missed you every single second.Because I love you Lakshmi”.

She smiled with a sweet blush.

He held her chin softly and asked her,
“Now tell me openly how you feel about me Lakshmi.My heart is craving to listen to it”.
She blushed.

Her lips shivered while uttering those magical words from her heart,
“I love you too Vishnu.You are my life”.
Their lips produced a beautiful smile from their hearts which had become one now.

Their eyes had a beautiful union through love.
A beautiful romantic eye lock was formed between them.

He lifted her up in his arms and twirled her around.

Vishnu took Lakshmi to his room.
Lakshmi said,
“I can’t wait to see your new painting”.

Vishnu smiled.
“Just a second”.
He unveiled his latest painting.
Lakshmi was surprised seeing his painting.She could not believe her eyes.
It was she herself on his canvas.

The credit for the painting goes to the original painter.

“Vishnu…”Her lips shivered due to this sweet surprise.

He held her closer,
“You are my inspiration Lakshmi.You are my heart.I just put my heart into the canvas.Thus a beautiful creation took birth”.
She smiled tearfully.

Indriyangalil shythya neelima

“This is my first gift of love for you my dear”.
Vishnu handed over the painting to Lakshmi.She could not express the emotions she felt that time.

As she took the painting from him,she rested her head on his shoulder holding him closer while he caressed her soft hair with his love.
