The Joy Of Caring

A busy looking street is shown. There are many vehicles on the road. Many people are going here and there .

In a corner of this street, on a old looking bench , an old man is sitting. He continuesly coughs . His face seemes to be careworn.

Everyone who passes by , looks at this old man but none of their hearts get melted enough to help this old man.

At this very time, a young man who looks wealthy , passes by . He sees this old man. He gets sad for him. So, he goes to the old man.

” Can I help you?”
The old man raises his face and looks at this young man. He utters no word.

” Come uncle, I will take you to a hospital”

The old man lets the young man to take him . The young man goes to a car and helps the old man to get in. The young man drives the car . While driving, he asks..

” Where are you from uncle?”

The old man doesn’t speak anything.
” Uncle, why aren’t you saying anything??”

“I’m ill ”

Says that old man with a sharp , low voice.
” Don’t worry. I will take you to a hospital”

The car stops in front of a hospital. The young man helps the old man to get down.
Both of them go in. The young man talks with some people in the hospital. A nurse greats him..

“Good evening Dr . Hasanand . May I help you?”

“Help this uncle to go to my cabin. I will come soon ”

“Ok sir ”

The nurse takes the old man into the young man’s , who is revealed to be a doctor, cabin.

She helps him to sit down. She gets some papers..
“Can I know your name ?”

“Baiwan ”

” Full name ?”

” Bhaiwan Pratap”

” Do you have any guardian or a son or daughter??”

The old man looks at nurse with a worried face. The nurse repeats the question..
The old man gets thinking. He gets flashes of his memories..

” Go out of this home! I can’t afford to keep you here anymore!”

” Son , why are ….”

“Go away ! Don’t dare to come to this house again ! Go! Leave this place! I hate you!”

The old man looks at his son questioningly.
But his son , without any remark, shuts the door loudly…
He comes to the present..

Small drops of tears fall from the old man’s eyes …

” How can I tell this to these people? No , I won’t . It will do no good for my son. He will have more problems. I don’t want that to happen . I want him to be happy!”
