EPISODE- 12
“I left you because….” Anika stopped and looked up to see the two pairs of eyes looking at her with care, love and pain. “Yes Anika say…” Shivay said wiping off Anika’s tears. He came closer and sat beside her. He wrapped his hand on her shoulder, she broke down in his embrace.
“That day… that day eve… everything changed… I lost everything… everything” she said in a shaky voice. Fear was clearly visible in her eyes.
“What happened that day Anika??” Shivay asked.
“You know… our graduation day… I was so happy because… because I got amazing marks” Anika’s eyes sparkled as her lips indicated her inner excitement.
“Hmm..” Shivay hummed and smiled.
“My maa babuji was also happy… they were… they planned a dinner for us… I Sahil maa and babuji we planned a dinner the next day” Anika said and smiled thinking of something. She continued “remember I told you I am busy when you asked me to go and visit Oberoi Family” Shivay nodded his head and said “yeah we had an argument too… but you just said me that day you want to enjoy by your own ways…” ” yeah… I said you because maa babuji planned our dinner.” Anika said cutting him off.
“But that dinner… it would have been better if I would have agreed to visit your family” Anika said as her voice again shook.
“We… we had our dinner and were coming back home then….” she again stopped.
“Tell me Anika…”Shivay caressed her head.
“The truck hit our car… a… a huge truck… killed my maa babuji… I… I lost them” he voice shook as her eyes went wide highlighting her fear. “Sahil… and I was at the back seat… the driver of the truck ran away… my.. maa… maa was looking at us… a huge glass piece entered into her belly… babuji died the moment truck has hit our car…. maa looked at me and then at Sahil…”
FLASHBACK
“Ani…Anika…” Anika’s mother extended her hand. “I… I am dying… protect my… hhhaahhh… Saa..Sahil from from every storm” Anika’s mother said and before Anika could put her hand over her mother’s hand her mother’s hand fell down lifelessly.
“Maa… maa get up maa… don’t don’t joke like this… babuji… babuji see maa is not getting up… you scold maa for doing this to me… get up babuji…. maa” Anika jerked both the lifeless body infront of her. Sahil started crying in Anika’s arms.
“Nothing happened Sahil… relax maa babuji is just joking with us… maa see your Sahil is calling you get up…” Anika jerked her mother’s body again but no response came.
“Maa……” she called aloud. Sahil wrapped his small hands around Anika and started crying. Soon Sahil fell as a lifeless body on Anika’s lap.
“Sahil… Sahil get up…. nothing happened get up… Sahil you cannot leave me alone now… get up Sahil” she jerked Sahil. He did not get up.
Anika came out of the car. “Hellppp…. please someone help” she started to cry out… many cars passed by but no one stopped.
FLASHBACK ENDS
“No one stopped Shivay… no one to help us… my maa and babuji died there… I put up Sahil on my back and ran to the hospital… I don’t know how much I walked but… I reached the hospital at dawn… I… I collapsed while doctors took Sahil inside for treatment.” Anika said and looked at Shivay. His eyes were watery… he is at loss that how he will calm her down.
She continued “I got my sense back after some hours… doctor informed me Sahil is traumatized… he needs a change and I am not allowed to tell him the truth. I went back to home… there… Sundari bua… she pushed me and Sahil out… I argued with her… she pushed Sahil and he fell on a stone… blood oozed out of his head. Then she closed the door… she didn’t even allow us to take our belongings.” She stopped and closed her eyes. More tears went down her eyes.
“After that we were hungry… for… for one long week… Sahil fell weak… I had no money… suddenly a man took me to a house and promised me he will give me job… but… but it was a prost….” she broke down without completing. He was shocked to listen to this. He caressed her back while she hugged him more tight. After sometime she gathered some courage and continued.
“I ran out from there… I reached to station… a train came and I went up… I… I reached Delhi… I had nothing with me but my marks. In the train some people were discussing about an interview… I asked them and shared I am in need of a job very badly… they took me to an office… the professionals interviewed me and granted me the job” Anika completed.
Shivay looked at her still sobbing in his arms. “Why didn’t you contact me Anika??” His voice trembled.
“You had your dreams Shivay… we had dreams we will go to abroad to study… but my fate did not allow me that… how could I become the dream killer of yours then” Anika said.
“You love me so much that you sacrificed me for my dreams??” He asked wanting to listen this from her mouth.
“I only love you Shivay… I love you the most” she said hugging him tight.
He pulled back from the hug. Held her face high and looked at the falling tears.
“I love you” he said and kissed her tears. “I love you” he kissed her eyes. “I love you” he kissed her cheeks. “I love you Anika… I can’t leave without you… I love you” Shivay completed kissing her face again.
