The voice of Bigg Boss Vijay Vikram Singh opens up on how failure made him turn to alcohol at 19
Vijay Vikram Singh, who is the voice of Bigg Boss, is one of the most popular voice-over artists in the entertainment industry. He has also been a part of shows like MasterChef India and The Kapil Sharma Show.
While Vijay is doing reasonably well now, there was a time when he faced several rejections. He talked about it in a recent interview and shared, that he was ‘introduced to the concept of voiceover’ at the age of 29.
He revealed he was taken to a studio for a first-hand experience that led him to take it up as a profession. He calls himself an ‘accidental artist’ as it was not planned.
Vijay also shared that though he is far from being a motivational speaker, his experiences have made him help inspire people. He said, “I’m not a motivational speaker because they have immense knowledge, my knowledge comes only from experience and that is what I share with people, it has a positive effect on audiences.”
He also opened up about facing problems of alcoholism after suffering from several setbacks in life. Vijay shared, “I could not handle failure early in life and turned to alcohol at the age of 19. I was depressed for the next seven years and it almost killed me. I had a life-threatening disease because of alcoholism.”
For the unversed, both Vijay and Salman Khan joined Bigg Boss in season 4.
