The next day, in the morning

Priya: today, we have the mehendi ceremony then it is the wedding of our ishu

Abhay: yeah, our daughters grew up so fast that we didn’t even realise we they became mature and are getting married

Priya: whatever is, God helped us and all is well in the end

Abhay: yeah

In the evening, the mehendi ceremony took place. It was fun and marvelous. As it was the last night for ishani, in the house. She and riddhima decided to spend time together. They sat oustside watching the stars, while eating popcorns. They were sharing whatever they had in their heart and telling the secrets which they had from each other. Like who broke the doll when they were children and blamed the other. They were many memories, which they were sharing together. They just couldn’t believe that they were going to start to live apart. But they composes themselves as they were going to continue to see each other.

The next day, it was the wedding day. The wedding was very simple no complicated things. During the farewell, riddhima and ishani were crying like two persons who will never get to see each other again. They had live together since childhood, now them being seperated was something which was really difficult for them but they had to start adjusting to the truth as no one stay with you always, everyone has to one day go away from you.

After some days,

Riansh’s room, 8AM

Vansh (waking up riddhima): riddhima wake up. Remember ishani and Aryan are coming and we have to prepare for the barbecue night

Riddhima: I know vansh, but I don’t why I feel tired and want to sleep

Vansh: you are acting strange those days. You usually used to wake up early but now you wake up late. You are eating things you usually didn’t eat. Strange, right

Riddhima: even I don’t why. Anyways let me wake up.

Dining Table, 9AM

Abhay: vansh where is riddhima?

Vansh: she is getting ready since one hour

Abhay: what! Strange, she usually takes only 20 minutes

Vansh: that’s what I’m thinking. She is acting strange those days

Abhay: what do you mean?

Vansh: didn’t you see that she is eating things she never used to eat

Abhay: yeah

Vansh: she is even waking up late. She is even feeling tired. Not only that, last night, she was vomiting. And she was feeling hungry but when she ate something, she again vomited

Abhay*smiles

Abhay: Priya, do you remember that you used to act the same

Priya: yeah, when I was pregnant with riddhima

Vansh: what! (Happy): maybe it means that she is pregnant

Priya: maybe

Vansh (excited): let me call the doctor

Hall, 10AM

Manish: vansh, come here the doctor is here

Vansh: I’m coming. (To doctor): Hello doctor, please follow me

In the room,

Riddhima: vansh why is the doctor here? No one is sick

Vansh: riddhima, we wanted to test if you are not pregnant by any chance

Riddhima (happy, holding her stomach): you mean that maybe I’m going to become a mother; maybe in some mothers I will be holding my baby in my hands

Vansh (nods happily): maybe ye

Doctor: please sit on the bed, while the others please go outside and let me check

Vansh and the others went outside waiting for what the doctor, will say. Vansh was impatient he wanted to know if for really he was about to become a father, he was excited thinking about his baby but at the same time scared about what if maybe riddhima isn’t pregnant. After some time, the doctor came out, vansh was nervous about what she is about to say

Doctor: Congratulations Mr. Raisinghania, she is pregnant. I think it’s twins but not sure so visits the hospital and I will conduct a test to be sure

Vansh: okay, thank you so much doctor

Vansh’s happiness knew no limit. He didn’t know what to say and how to describe his happiness. He went inside the room and hugged a happy riddhima

Riddhima: vansh can you believe it, I’m pregnant. In just nine months, our baby will be with us.

Vansh: yeah

Riddhima: and it’s not just one but two babies, I think. Me, I want two boys. I want them to be as handsome as their father.

Vansh: me, I want two girls. I want those two to be as beautiful as their mother.

Riddhima: we will have boys

Vansh: no girls

Riddhima: then what about if we have one boy and one girl

Vansh: Mmmh, that’s sound better. The boy as handsome as me and the…

Riddhima: the girl as beautiful as me. But vansh, I just can’t believe it. Vansh, I want everything to be well organized, I want us to attend the antenatal classes. I have read in a book that many pregnant woman goes to birth classes with their partner and they learn a lot about pregnancy especially if it’s for the first time like us. I want us to plan for the better future of our happy; I want that when our baby comes in the world he/she won’t have any problem. I want…

Vansh (keeping his finger on her lips): riddhima, calm down. I will always be here with you so, we will talk about that. For now let’s enjoy this moment and let me go and prepare for the barbecue night or else your sister will get angry that we didn’t welcome her.

Riddhima: oh yeah, let’s go. Even I will help you

Vansh: no, you are not going anywhere. You are going to come with me but you won’t do a thing

Riddhima: but why?

Vansh: ma’am if you forgot. Then let me reminder you that you are pregnant and pregnant women’s don’t work

Riddhima: but vansh, it’s just the first month. It’s not as if I’m 7 months pregnant

Vansh: I don’t care. You won’t do a thing, that’s all

Riddhima: vansh please let …

Priya (knocking and entering): riddhima, don’t even try because even your father was like that, when he learnt that I was pregnant, he never even let me take a glass of water by myself. He will do everything for me

Ishani: jiju, now don’t let her work

Riddhima (pouting): hear what you are saying, is that even something to tell him. He has already started

They went there and ishani was stunned to see the decorations.

There were decorative lights all around and a table was there with flowers on top. Blue and red plates were surrounding the table. There were different dishes on the table with different drinks. Around the table, four more tables were set there with drinks and even more food. You could think that the whole bbq party was just about food and drinks if you saw all of those tables. In the corner, a blue table was there with loud speakers.

Ishani: wow yaar, I’m so speechless, what a setting. But there’s so much food, it feels as if we will be eating every 30 minutes

Riddhima (grins): to tell the truth yes, those days I like to eat every single minute. So as we will have a bbq night, and we will stay here till tomorrow morning, so there’s food everywhere

Ishani: hmm quite interesting. Vaise, where is mom, dad and the others.

Abhay: we are just here

Ishani (hugging him): missed you

Abhay: missed you too. You should have come early

Manish: Abhay ji, she would have come early if only Aryan would have finished *wink

Everyone *laughs

Ishani (shy): uncle, what are you saying

Manish: whatever I’m saying is the truth

Riddhima: see dada, her cheeks are red like a tomato

Ishani: didi, you too

Riddhima: anyways, everyone sit and let me tell you what I have prepared for you

Uma: hmm, what to taste everything.

Everyone sat down and were looking at the food, it looked quite appetizing, some of them had liters of water in their mouth.

Riddhima: so, we have non-alcoholic drinks and alcoholic drinks. There is frozen hot chocolate my favorite

Ishani: hmm, did you remember putting my favorite ones or you just put yours only

Riddhima (smiles): there is something for you. Oreo milkshake

Ishani (happy): aree waa you didn’t forget

Riddhima: As if, I ever forgot. So there is Virgin Pina Colada

Ishani: wow, that’s your Manish uncle’s favorite, right

Manish: absolutely, I think today I will have as many glasses as I want

Uma: no a big no. or else your diabetes will again shoot up. So just one glass

Manish (pleading): Uma please, I drink it rarely, you never make it for me. Now that riddhima did it, you won’t let me have please

Uma (serious): no, means

Riddhima (going near Manish and whispering): don’t worry; I will give you some more glasses without Maa’s attention

Manish: ok (To Uma): ok, I will drink only one

Uma (surprised): what did she tell you that you accepted to drink only one

Manish (attitude): secret between a father-in-law and his bahu

Uma: ok

Riddhima: and last for non-alcoholic drink, there is peanut butter milkshake

Vansh: ok, now alcoholic. You know me right, I can’t drink those drinks.

Riddhima: I didn’t bring much for alcoholic but just just brought your favorite drink

Vansh: which one?

Riddhima: founders solid gold

Vansh: ooh, that’s interesting

Abhay: and me, you know me too. I join vansh in drinking alcoholic drinks

Riddhima: for you there is Smuttynose old brown dog

Abhay (smiles): nice

Priya: there is no need to smile so much as I won’t let you drink much

Abhay (serious): aree yaar, please don’t do this

Priya: don’t think that I will spare you. You won’t drink much and that’s it

Abhay: as you say ma’am or else if I don’t listen to you. I may have to sleep outside for a week

Aryan: there was something for everyone but what about me

Riddhima: you will ice cold drinks as you like them

Aryan: oh right

Riddhima: vaise, I’m hungry so let me tell you what we will have now

Vansh: but you just a few minutes ago

Abhay: you have to get habituated as pregnant woman eat at every moment

Vansh: really

Abhay: yes, she will even start to ask for cold drinks or beer sometimes

Vansh: oh god, that means I have to keep an eye on her. Or else she might drink some beer, as she already liked it, now she might even want to drink more

Riddhima: so what, even now I was planning to join you to drink founders

Vansh (Shocked): are you crazy riddhima? Did you forget that you are pregnant?

Riddhima: no I didn’t forget but I was just craving for beer

Vansh: you have completely lost it but me I’m still normal and i won’t let you do anything like that. You will only have your frozen chocolate

Riddhima: ok, I won’t drink it, now happy

Vansh: better

Riddhima: so for food there is Cheerwine barbecued chicken

Ishani: wow, I’m already having water

Riddhima: already there is more to come. We have Mexi-mac burgers and waffle fries with Taco Sauce.

Aryan (excited): riddhima, yaar stop telling us and start serving us. Now I’m already hungry

Riddhima: at least let me finish. We have halloumi burgers with sticky chickens. There is fried chicken with fries and beer mac with cheese. There is even pasta salad.

Ishani: ok now let’s eat

Riddhima: ok

They started eating and after they finished they had their deserts. They were different kind of desert for everyone like apple pie, whipped tiramisu coffee and chocolate coffee truffles.

When they finished everything, they danced to different kind of music and played different games. Overall, they enjoyed the night and everyone was happy. That night marked a new beginning for everyone especially riddhima who was about to become a mother. Becoming a mother, it’s a new way to explore yourself and that’s what riddhima was doing. She was becoming more excited to become a mother. Everyone was excited but vansh was even more than excited, he just felt different. He wanted to be called dad, he wanted to know how it felt. For now, they had to wait as their new journey had begun and they had to wait for nine months to see their wish come true…

With their new beginning, my journey ends here. It was a pleasure to meet you all. To tell the truth, for me it’s a new beginning after this one ends and I hope to start a new ff soon.

This journey was fantastic as you all were by my side, that are some people who started reading this ff from the very start but I think they were bored and decided to stop reading it😂. Anyways, there are even some people like jaya who started with me and are still there for me. there are so many , people who supported me in thi journey, whenever I felt that I’m losing my confidence and couldn’t finish it they motivated me that I could improve myself like tsa. And truly said, I really improved in my writing and got to know so many people and bonded with them like meena. I’m really thankful to everyone who was with me from the very start, I can’t enumerate everyone but I’m still thankful to everyone who read and the one who took their time and commented.

Thank you and love you all. Hope to start a new ff, if it is possible. Next time, I will surely come with a nice plot and it won’t be as boring as this one😉😉.
