“Tring tring”
The landline rang whilst Lia recieved it and greeted in a lovely soft tone.
“Hello?”
“hey! Who are you? Give the phone to granny.”
A voice totally opposite to her rudely ordered.
She jerked listening to her from the other side but without caring handed it to granny.
After she kept the reciever, Granny infromed without even a peck of excitement that Kale will reach by evening, Her adopted daughter.
Lia understood the distance has parted the relation and love between them but she was determined that as she comes the awkwardness will be healed soon.
Lia smiled while Sameer and Karthik stood expressionless.
“She is my daughter.” Granny informed to their confused face in a low whisper.
Evening
Someone knocked the door.
Lia gave a very welcoming smile to Kale.
The slim figured lady with tiny waist stood 5’7,taller than lia by an inch.
She didnt smiled back and rather walked in ignoring her.
She made a quick observation of the hall and hugged granny that almost looked fake.
“I missed you so much Granny.”
Tears rolled down of her wrinkled eyes with an end to the long wait to see her.
Lia felt a heavy heart seeing an old lady cry. It is really very disheartening.
Kale’s eyes slided to Sameer and Karthik who was watching their drama popping popcorn.
“Sameer????” she exclaimed and walked to him forgetting the fake drama she did with granny.
Lia felt a hush of anger streamimg through her veins seeing her hug Sameer.
She deliberately dropped a glass from the table at the side.
Sameer smirked a little while Kale gave her accusing glare.
Granny smiled seeing Lia and walked away from the hall. Lia felt bad for her as she knew granny was hurt inside, Kale really didn’t cared about her. She followed her into her room. Seeing this from the corner of his eye, Sameer also followed them.
“dont feel bad granny. She loves you. Its just that seeing Sameer she got excited just like us!” Lia tried to assuage the old lady sitting by her side.
As she said ‘just like us’ granny turned to her bemused and she corrected herself realising her words.
“I mean like you got…. So this is all because of Sameer. You should not let him stay here anymore.” she used the situation little for her own benefit and cursed herself inside
for it.
On the other hand when Sameer got up Kale and Karthik also followed. They were listening to her blabber which she didnt noticed and Granny was silently smiling.
“Ahem!” Sameer coughed.
“You..??” kale yelled.
“You are igniting fire between me and Granny ha? Listen Lia, we dont like each other but that doesnt mean you break my relations with granny.” she pushed her while shouting out at her lungs.
Samee hold her and threw a death glare to Kale.
“Dont.you.dare” he stated authoritatively to Kale.
Kale looked back at him in disbelief.
“Sammy you dont know her…” she tried to explain but was cut by him.
“NO ONE KNOWS HER BETTER THAN ME” he angrily bit out emphasizing each word while Lia was still in his embrace with his right hand on her waist.
She realised inbetween their death glares that they seem to know each other.
Yeah! She called her Sammy? Well, that all the fans called right? Her vision got blurred and black dots appeared.

She opened her eyes when Sameer shook her a little. His pair of beautiful eyes were gazing at her concerned.
He knew and even Granny nd Karthik also knew why she said those things to Granny.. To not let him stay…But Kale being new, didnt got it.
Sameer brushed her hairs at back lightly in a caressing manner with a smile.
“Sorry” she mumbled.
She slided her eyes there was no one in the room.
“Where are everyone? Where is Granny?” she asked confused.
“You are in your room Lia” he whispered.
She got straight at once.
“What? How come? I was….”
“you fainted” he intoned comforting.
“what? clearly please” she annoyingly blurted.
“Well, that you must know. Why didnt you ate anything?” he asked.
“You know Kale?” she asked after getting full conscious.
“She is my friend” he flatly replied.
She could just make it up with a word covering all the questions ringing on her mind. She was tired enough working since morning.
“Oh”
The door opened and Granny came in with a glass of something that looked like the algal blooms in a pond. All thick green. She rightly guessed as it came closer to her view.
“Have this. You will feel better dear” her motherly love showered and she caressed her hairs.
The concoction itched her nose. Both gave her a reassuring smile to go on and gulp it but she firmly nodded vigorously for a ‘no no’.
“come on lia. Its just a drink” sameer vociferated in a caring tone.
Just a drink? Why dont you drink it then? Huh?
Lia thought but before putting it in tongue Granny had already filled it with the smelly bitterly tasting juice. Hell it cant be a juice. It was more like poison.
“Mmmmhh.” she tried to say that that was enough for today.
But granny took it down after the glass was empty.
“Huh?” she muttered with a sigh.

Karthik was talking to Kajal describing her about how they got Lia and all.
While Kale was in her room setting up her things arranging the costly dresses in her wardrobe with the matching shoes.
She shared a great bonding with the Indian Footballers since she had trained them for dance in the theme song.
And because Sameer was the very perfect among the others and made a good pair with her she had a crush on him.
The next day Kale talked to everyone nicely even with Lia to impress Sam.
Lia found it extra sweet, just opposite to what she heard yesterday morning on the phone but she smiled back and replied her with the same amount of sugar. She knew granny will get upset if they both develop hatred towards each other. So she already had made her mind to break the walls between a mother and a daughter but for that Kale needs to create a good impression of herself.
“What are you making Lia?” Kale asked as her fingers ran through the counter taking an apple from the basket.
“umm… Sandwiches. Do you want anything?”
“uh no” Kale slightly smiled and turned to the hall crunching a bite of the apple.
The tv played some sort of cartoon.
“Oh comeon! You are not a kid. Give me the remote” Sam yelled at Karthik who was enjoying the show like a 5 year old kid laughing all the while. He scowled at Sameer.
“Watch it man. Its great” he tried to get a company.
Kale paid no interest and was busy in polishing her nail with the glittering black colour.
Granny had gone to a neighbour for a visit.
Annoyed enough by the man in the doing abnormal things, Sameer got up and noticed Lia in the kitchen.
Smiling evilly he moved to her.
She got conscious at his presence.
“do you want something?” she enquired as he took steps towards her.
“Yeah” he whispered intimately.
“What?” her voice turned all numb.
His hands moved to her waist. She had her back faved to hs front.
He rested his chin on her delicate shoulders.
“are you not happy to see me here?” he mumbled pressing gentle kiss on her bare body.
She gasped terror seizing over the blood.
He turned her gently twirling her waist facing face-to-face.
“aha?” he raised his brow waiting for the reply.
From the hall Kale was watching them jealously and hold the arm of chair tightly in anger.
The kitchen had turned warm with the love in the atmosphere.
“why did you left me Lia?” he finally asked in a whisper.
Her face burned thinking of it. The love flew away.
She wanted to jerk him off thinking the reason.
But Kale interrupted in the very moment.
“Ahemm… Sorry guyz I wanted juice. Breakfast ready Lia?” she asked sweetly. Inside she wanted to push that girl for seducing Sameer.
They pulled back and composed.
“Yeah. I was coming.” Lia said defending.
“that I can see clearly…. I mean everything is prepared. Come lets go” she controlled her mouth.
Sam and Kale left and After few minutes Lia came with a big tray on her hand with tea pots. Seeing that Sameer immediately stood to help her.
“She is my friend” he flatly replied.

“Whats so funny?” he enquired.
“dont you see Sameer? Mr. BEAN” she chuckled and laughed out again.
Karthik also joined her while Sameer stood unbelievably.
“God damn. You also watch this kid things.” he annoyingly stated.
“hey! Everyone watches it” Lia argued.
Sam flailed his arms in disbelief and ignorance and sat down on the sofa spreading legs.
“Oh comeone watch It sameer… You will love it I tell you” she said and sat on his lap.
She was so lost in the comict hat ddint realise of her act. Karthik for the first time since morning got distracted by her.
Uncaring she conforted herself and rested her head at his chest with her back on his front taking a bite of the sandwich with eyes glued to the tv.
Sam smirked and moved his hands to her belly making her more comfortable while Kale was burning vigorously. She would have exploded like a nuclear bomb and murdered the innocent girl so she better thought to walk out.
“Karthik.. See that man looked like AK” she again laughed out pointing the tv to Karthik which showed a man seducing a hot dashing man.
While the process her hand went to her stomach and she looked down to see her hand over his large one.
She turned back like a mouse suddenly and wanted to jump off their as if it had reptiles crawling but he pulled her back in the sam position.
She struggled hard and kept scratching his hand to loosen his grip but in vain.
After a lot of try and breathing heavily she inhaled deeply gasping.
“Leave me Sam” she yelled.
“My mickey mouse stay here” he whispered at her earshell.
While Karthik was watching them he chuckled and smiled happily seeing Sameer like that.
“Whoa bro.. Leave the girl. If you want I will adjust there” he mocked laughing hard.
Sam gave him a death glae and shot back.
“Better call AK for that. You will feel heavenly in his lap”
Karthik fumed at that and scowled.
Sameer chuckled.
He let go Lia who was tired and suffocating with his grip.
She slided down on the floor with her face resting in the sofa.
“Huh? I will kill you for this Sameer.” she groaned panting for air.
He just ruffled her hair in a way of saying ‘try babe’.
She jerked off his hand and turned at him frowning.
He put a light kiss on her forehead and took sandwich from the plate extending hand above her head.
After a while they sat diwn and did the breakfast.
Day passed like that with Kale fuming all through the way and Granny observing their closeness and trying to figure out the reason of Lia coming in Sikkim leaving her family and studies.
