This story starts from a random plot, where, Pakhi was able to dominate Virat and instill hatred in his heart for Sayi. The whole family gets to know Pakhi and Virat’s relation, and Samrat was not yet found. Pulkit couldn’t prove himself no-guilty, so he had to leave the city and Devi was now normal, who believed everything her mother said. Sayi has completed her MBBS and is now the 2nd year resident doctor. Virat doubts that Sayi has relation with a fellow doctor (Thanks to Pakhi). To be sure of it, he visits her hospital and find them laughing and enjoying a cup of tea. He asks Sayi for a divorce and they both get separated. (I won’t elaborate the family drama, I fear it might turn boring if I write, because I’m not that good at writing dramatic family scenes, so I hope this summary will be enough to understand to background of this story)
It had been 15 days since Sayi left the Chavan Niwas. The whole house was quit. Bhavani came to the living room followed by Ninad and Omkar with a smiling face and Pakhi served tea to all of them.
“Patralekha, what magic do you do while making this tea? It always tastes delicious” Bhavani said enjoying the tea
“Nothing much badi mami, just my love for you.”
“The house feels like a home now, it was so noisy till a few days ago. I was longing for this peace ever since that jungli mulgi had stepped inside this house”
“Badi mami, she has gone already and now since they are divorced, she won’t ever return again!”
“Patralekha, I know you love Virat and has always loved him. I’m so sorry for tying you into a loveless marriage that lead to Virat doing this stupidity of marrying that girl. Now I wish for you love to get fulfilled. I want you and Virat to marry and live a happy life.”
Pakhi came and sat near her “But, mami, Samrat….”
“Samrat has not yet been found and we will search for a nice girl for him, who will give all her love to him. It will be better for him to be out of this loveless marriage. Now you answer if you are willing to marry Virat or not.”
Pakhi shyly nods yes and then walks away.
“I have never seen her blushing. I feel so relaxed ever since that wild cat went away. Ninad call the priest, I want to discuss the marriage dates with him.”
“Whose marriage dates kaku?” came a voice
“Virat!! Glad you came, I was about to send someone to call you. I have proposed your and Pakhi’s marriage. I have already talked to her and she has agreed to marry you, I hope you will also abide by my decision”
“I have already seen the consequences of doing things as per my own will. I know you won’t ever think bad for me, so do whatever you want to, I won’t ever question your decisions.”
“Masta masta…. Ninad ask the priest to come right away.”

Priest was checking their birth charts while the whole family was seated around him. Pakhi was standing with Virat and her fingers were crossed.
“Bhavani ji, for the first time in these many years, I’m questioning your choice.”
“What do you mean guru ji?”
“This girl is clearly not suited for Virat. Instead of reducing his problems, her presence in his life will increase them. The coming year is very crucial for Virat as something big seems to be coming in his way.”
“Of course they won’t match! Virat is destined to be with Sayi” Ashwini mumbled and seems no one listened except Virat who was standing next to her sandwiched between his mother and Pakhi.
“Guru ji, they both love each other. Is there a way out?”
“Let me check” He started to calculate something on his finger “We will have to conduct a maha yagya for a week. If this maha yagya completes without any obstacles, then they can marry within 10 days, but a single mistake would mean that her presence will only bring sufferings to this family.”
“We are ready to perform this yagya. Give me a list of all the items to be ordered, we will start it from tomorrow itself.”

Virat was standing on the terrace. Pakhi came from behind holding a tray.
“You haven’t eaten properly since days and even today, you didn’t had anything since morning. Come sit, let me feed you”
Pakhi made Virat sit and was about to feed him a morsel
“Pakhi, thank you for the food, I will eat it. You can go and have some rest”
“We are about to get married, there is no need to hide and meet now. After marriage I will feed you with my hands everyday” Virat reminisces Sayi feeding him
“Pakhi I said I will eat on my own, you don’t need to bother about anything. Go and rest”
“What happened Virat? You were never such. You never had an objection when Sayi used to feed you with her hands, then why are you pushing me away?”
“I don’t want to hear her name ever again!” he said clenching his teeth.
“Okay, I will never mention it to you, if you don’t want to but…”
“Virat” Ashwini came from behind “What is it Virat? You haven’t eaten a single bite, and the food has already lost its warmth.”
“Aayi, don’t worry, I will bring it again”
“Aayi?? Patralekha, I’m not your aayi yet”
“But you will be soon…right?”
“Virat might be hungry, quickly go and heat the food”
Patralekha picked the tray and went.
“What is this Virat?”
“What are you talking about aayi?”
“I think you know what am I talking about”
“Aayi if it is about that girl, I don’t want to talk about it.”
“You didn’t even let her explain anything, you just sent her away from your life and now you are moving on in life with Patralekha like nothing happened. Did you ever love Sayi? Even for a single second, did you feel your heart racing when she was around?” Virat looked towards his mother, memories of his moments with Sayi flashing in his mind, if not her, the memories spent with her still hold the power to bring a smile to his face. “Even the mention of her can bring a smile to your face, they why did you do it? If you really loved her, you would have believed her when she begged for a chance, when she was pleading for non-guilty, all she asked was a chance to prove her, when you gave her the divorce letter instead.”
Virat recalls Pakhi showing some intimate pictures of Sayi with a fellow student. He tightens his fist and closes his eyes in anger.
“Yes!! I did love her, I did start falling for her, I was looking for ways to let her stay after she finishes her internship. But aayi….what did she do to me in return? She cheated on me! How do you expect me behave? It was I who got her in this house and I was the one who sent her away, I don’t want hear her name ever again”
Virat turned and looked towards the sky. There was no trace of the moon or the stars.
“Even the sky is dark today, just like my life”
“She was the moon and she was the star to your sky. I fear the day you will realize your mistake, she might go far away from you.”
“Aayi it’s late, I think you should sleep now. You have to prepare for the pooja tomorrow”
Ashwini leaves patting his cheeks and he turns to look back at the sky.
To everyone wondering where was I, I was stuck with work, they have asked us 3rd and 4th years to volunteer.
I barely managed to write 3 and a half chapters in 10 days and I’m short of ideas for the other work.
