Tv show Maitree set to introduce Kunal Karan Kapoor as the new Saaransh
news
The makers of the popular show Maitree are bringing back the character of Saaransh, originally portrayed by Zaan Khan, from the dead. However, this time the role will be taken over by Kunal Karan Kapoor. According to the storyline, the show will fast-forward by six months, and Saaransh will return to disrupt Maitree’s (played by Shrenu Parikh) life.
A source closely associated with the show revealed in a conversation, “Saaransh, played by Zaan, was shown as deceased within a week after the show’s launch. The producers have now decided to revive the track and have cast Kunal to play the new Saaransh. He will enter the show as Ashish, the character previously portrayed by Namish Taneja, who meets his demise in a fire. However, it will later be revealed that he is, in fact, Saaransh. It’s a negative role, and he has returned to seek revenge on Maitree.”
Kunal Karan Kapoor, known for his roles in shows like Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, Doli Armaanon Ki, and Woh Apna Sa, was last seen in Ziddi Dil Maane Na. On the other hand, Zaan Khan is currently appearing in Meri Saas Bhoot Hai.
Earlier in an interview, Namish Taneja revealed that he exited the show due to his creative dissatisfaction with his character’s track. He said, “I wasn’t creatively satisfied as an actor. I discussed my concerns with the production house, and although they tried to introduce some changes to the storyline, I still didn’t feel completely satisfied. So, we mutually decided to part ways. I am content with the way my character’s track concluded. It’s a heroic exit, and it has been beautifully shot.”
