Hello everyone!! Ananya here.. I’m really glad that there are people out there who still want me to continue writing my older stories.. It’s really amazing that you guys still remember them. I’ve decided to write them as well, and then go according to the responses I get on how long they will be. Alright then, let’s go!
Twinj: My Lifeline: Episode 7
A quick recap: Twinkle has been in love with celebrity rockstar Kunj Sarna, for years now. Her friend, Yuvraj Luthra, who is hopelessly in love with her, proposes to her, but she rejects him. Kunj, in turn, is in love with model Alisha, who is only interested in his name and fame. She accepts Kunj’s proposal for marriage in a fear that she might otherwise have a failed career, but meets with an accident that leaves her critical, and in need of rehabilitation. It is revealed that Usha Sarna was behind the accident, trying to save her son from Alisha. Usha, in turn, gets Leela Taneja to agree to Kunj and Twinkle’s alliance by some unrevealed business deal like agreement. In the rushed engagement, Twinkle realises that something is very unnatural about the happenings when she overhears Kunj’s words that he didn’t even know who Twinkle was. After exchanging rings, Kunj requests to talk to Twinkle in private, when she asks him if they could be friends atleast. She now awaits her answer.
Kunj stood silently, not even turning to look at Twinkle, to whom each passing second felt like an eternity. She had almost given up her hopes, when she saw him turn back towards her with a warm smile. “Friends!” he said, forwarding his hand. She looked up at him, eyes shining brightly and shook his hand. They stood there, looking at each other, for Twinkle, it appeared to be the beginning of her dream love story, Kunj couldn’t recognise the weird feeling in his heart. He was in love with Alisha, and was willing to do anything for her, but right in front of him was a girl who seemed to be prepared to give herself to him, not aware of any truth binding their relationship. Their moment was broken by Twinkle’s phone ringing. Her ringtone was Kunj’s song, the very song that he had always said was his own personal favourite. Kunj looked at her strangely, while she quickly freed her hand from his, and went to get her phone, avoiding his gaze. “I’m sorry about that” she spoke, turning towards him, but noticed that he had left the room already.
Twinkle blinked at where he had been standing just a moment ago. She couldn’t believe her dreams were finally coming true. She did a little twirl, imagining her and Kunj’s future, blushing and singing to herself. Chinki rushed in with Yuvi at that very moment, bringing Twinkle back to the real world. “Yuvi! I’m really sorry!!”Twinkle began, explaining the recent development of events, as Chinki carefully closed the door. “Yuvi, please try and understand..” Chinki began, when Yuvi raised his palm upward, indicating both of them to stop talking. They both looked at him dumbfounded. He looked at Twinkle with tear-filled eyes and then spoke, “Twinkle, I’ve always loved you selflessly. Not once have I regretted my feelings for you. All through these years I’ve always tried to put your happiness before mine, always listened to everything you said carefully, always.. But turns out, it wasn’t sufficient. None of that ever was..” The girls were spell-bound. Yuvi’s eyes were now brimming with tears. “Today, you’re taking a step towards your love.. What were you thinking? Your friend will never ever get in your way.. I’m sorry I can’t help what I feel for you, but that shall never ever get in your way..” He spoke and took one last glance at her before leaving the room.
The girls were definitely unhappy with having to break Yuvi’s heart that way, Twinkle’s heart swelled with pride at the idea of having a friend who had given up his happiness for her sake, even as it hurt her horribly to realise the impact of her actions. Chinki managed to convince Twinkle that she needed to get back downstairs before someone came looking for her.
When Twinkle arrived in the hall, she noticed that the Sarnas had already left, and Leela was seeing off the last few guests. As she noticed Twinkle, Leela came to her and told her that Kunj wanted to meet her the next day and would get in touch with her, for which he had taken her number. Her happiness knew no bounds. She couldn’t wait to go and meet him. She looked at the ring on her finger and smiled to herself, convincing Leela that her little princess would manage just fine even without her now.
That’s it for now guys.. I know it wasn’t upto the mark, but I hope things will get better real soon. Coming up, we’ll be seeing Twinkle’s encounter with Alisha’s truth.
