Twinj: When I fell for you: Episode 50

Greetings all you lovely people… Heartfelt gratitude to you all for the overwhelming response I have been receiving… This has been a really special journey for me, since it is the first story that I wrote here on tu, and today, as I complete 50 episodes, I feel extremely blessed to have found so many friends and well-wishers out here… Thank you so much!

Twinj: When I fell for you: Episode 50

A quick recap: Twinj moments, the elders reveal that they knew Twinj’s love story long ago

“Twinkle!! Twinkle… Twinkle listen…” Chinki called out, barging into her bestie’s room at the Sarna mansion.
“What is it?” Twinkle asked wearily, her voice low, while Chinki looked around, and found her sitting on the bed, with her back to the headboard, blanket covering her partially, laptop on her lap, looking all drained out. “Arrey Twinkle!! Don’t tell me you forgot! We were supposed to go and meet that event organiser today, remember?” Chinki spoke, clearly irritated by Twinkle’s indifference.

“Oh yes.. I remember” Twinkle answered lifelessly, and was about to continue her work, when her eyes widened as the realisation hit her. “Oh my goodness!! And you are telling me now?? Have you noticed what time it is already?” Twinkle screamed as she made a dash for her wardrobe, quickly picking up a dress. She was ready to go by half an hour, while Chinki looked on, surprised, and exclaimed, “Oh my god! Siyappa Queen!! How come you got ready so quickly today? Else, you take a minimum of three hours…” Twinkle gave her a bored look, and pulled her along, rushing past Usha, who wondered what that whirlwind was all about.

Chinki insisted to drive, and Twinkle quietly complied, knowing that they had absolutely no time to waste.
“Chinki…, are you sure I won’t mess up the surprise?” Twinkle spoke, knowing that she was a Siyappa Queen in true terms, always ruining things by mistake, while Chinki squeezed her hand assuringly.
“Twinkle… Did you get no sleep last night? You look really tired…” Chinki spoke casually, jerking Twinkle out of her fears that she might reveal everything to Kunj, spoiling the surprise.

“I had some official papers to work on… And besides, you know that tomorrow is a big day for all of us.. I couldn’t have piled up any work either…” Twinkle spoke, rubbing her eyes, trying to get the sleep out of her eyes. “Accha? Twinkle, you do know that you are too stupid to lie to me, right? Why don’t you accept it that you weren’t able to fall asleep since Kunj is out of town, and then decided to work on those papers to keep you occupied?” Chinki spoke, with a mischievous glint in her eyes, causing Twinkle to retort immediately, “Oh please! You are more stupid, and we all know it. After all, the elders found out about me and Kunj only because they overheard you and Aman discussing the entire thing, right?” Chinki nodded in a yes, and giggled, leaving Twinkle more frustrated, as they both recalled Leela telling them that she had overheard Chinki and Aman discuss Twinj’s relationship when Alisha was creating more drama than they could handle. Leela was, however, unsure of what she should do with that bit of information, and decided to tell the others when things would be better. “Gosh!! It was so embarrassing… You know what Usha ma still teases us…” Twinkle informed Chinki, who was having a hard time suppressing her laughter.

Breaking the silence that prevailed, Twinkle smiled at Chinki, and said, “Hey! You and Aman had been to the doctor last evening, right?” She received just a shy smile in response, and that gave Twinkle her answer. “Congratulations buddy! I can’t believe that this crazy Chinki, who is a baby herself, is expecting a baby…” She teased, pulling her bestie into a side hug.

After few excited moments of chatter about the baby, Twinkle brought up the topic that nobody generally spoke about. “Chinki, has Aman been able to get over the whole Alisha episode yet?” She immediately regretted asking it, when Chinki preferred to keep mum on the issue. “It’s alright. I can understand… And I am sorry…” Twinkle spoke, forcing a smile on her face. “Enough melodrama for now, isn’t it? We’re here. We better start running, else your plans will be ruined” Chinki announced, as she drove into a huge compounded area, in the middle of which, stood a posh bungalow.
“My goodness! Girls! If I had left this job to you, we should have dropped the entire idea altogether. Have you realised what time it is?” Rahul began lecturing them as soon as they got off the car, and his moral lessons continued till they reached the bungalow.

Walking out about an hour and a half later, with content smiles on their faces, they decided that the girls would quickly check the arrangements and race back home, while Rahul went to the airport to recieve Kunj and Yuvi, who had gone for a one-day business trip.

That evening, Twinkle and Kunj were finally alone in their room, after formally greeting the family, while both were aching to have some time together. After all, they were away from each other for the first time since their wedding. Kunj was lying on the bed, his head on Twinkle’s lap, while she sat up straight, giving him a soothing forehead massage, as they spoke of tonnes of things.
That was when Kunj noticed that his wifey seemed a little tensed. “Hey! Did you miss me?” He asked, pulling her towards himself. She nodded in a no, but when he insisted, she told him how she wasn’t able to even fall asleep, making him giggle. “All ok?” He asked a few minutes later, sitting up and putting a hand around her shoulder, while she nodded, smiling as widely as she could.
“Kunj…?” She spoke slowly, looking down.
“Hmm?”
“Nothing” She said quickly, and rushed out of the room under the pretext of having some work in the kitchen.
It had now been two weeks since they had got back to work after their little family time, and Kunj wasn’t unaware of the change in Twinkle’s behaviour in the previous four to five days. He suspected that something was fishy, and decided to spy on her to find out.

Later that night,
“What was the urgency?”
“At this hour?”
“Rahul, you are going to land us in trouble”
“If anyone finds us here, our entire plan will be ruined!”
After listening patiently to the three complaining voices for a few minutes, Rahul spoke finally, more confused than they were, “Wait. What? I didn’t call you here!! What is going on?”
“You didn’t?”
“Then who did?”
“But we recieved a message from your phone, asking us to come here”
This time the voices sounded shocked.

“Shhh shhh shhh guys! We wouldn’t want to wake the entire house, do we? Or have you all forgotten that you are standing in the garden right in front of the Sarna mansion?” Kunj’s voice almost echoed in the silence, leaving everyone shocked out of their wits. Slightly chuckling at their expressions, Kunj continued, “Ohhh my lovely wife, Chinki, and had to be Aman and Rahul with the two of you… Hmmm.. interesting… Alright, let me clear your confusions first” He showed them Rahul’s phone, and informed them that he knew they were upto something, and decided to trap them this way.

“Spill the beans now, else I’ll have to get mom and dad” He spoke in a slightly threatening voice. “Arrey Kunj!! Don’t tell me that you too don’t remember…! The Sarna Empire will complete two decades of its existence tomorrow, that is why these people are planning a secret party… Don’t ruin things now… Let them do whatever they’ve decided to” Raj spoke, walking out of the house, convincing Kunj.
Raj had been living in the Sarna mansion with his mother till they found a suitable place to live in, and he had just done Twinkle another favour. They smiled gratefully at him before Twinkle dragged Kunj along, wishing them a good night. They all knew that it would be better to discuss anything further on that topic.

“Wow wifey! I must say!! You have learning to use that tiny brain of yours at least a little… All courtesy, me!” Kunj spoke, as he closed the door after them.
“Was that some kind of a joke?” Twinkle retorted, crossing her arms across her chest. “No… Not at all… I was just praising my wonderful wife…” Kunj said, pulling her cheeks.
As Twinkle headed to the bed, Kunj pulled her back by her waist, and nuzzled his nose on her shoulder, whispering, “What’s the hurry sweetheart?” They then danced to some imaginary music, lost in their own world, each one’s eyes lost in the other’s, enjoying the peaceful silence of the night.

The clock struck two, but the couple seemed oblivious to the whole world. They finally retired to the couch, Twinkle in Kunj’s arms, resting her head against his chest, quietly listening to his heart beat, which brought her heavenly solace, while he placed his chin over her head.
“Siyappa Queen!! Have you fallen asleep right there?” Kunj exclaimed, unable to believe that his talkative better half could be so quiet. “Kunj!!” Twinkle squeaked, turning around to face him. Her breath hitched as she saw how close they were to each other, they both couldn’t believe they still had the same effect on each other, just like it was when they newly realised their love for each other.

Kunj leaned closer, while Twinkle closed her eyes. He placed deep, loving kisses on her forehead, eyes, the tip of her nose, and her cheeks before proceeded towards her lips. Their kiss expressed the pure emotional connect they felt with each other, the depth of their love, their unspoken vows of eternal togetherness, everything that words could never justly explain…
Withdrawing for want of air, Kunj smiled as he watched her cheeks turn beet red, and gently bit on them, while she held on to his shoulder, going weak in her knees. It was her turn now, she placed gently loving kisses on Kunj’s forehead and cheeks, her hands playing their magic on his nape. As she continued her endeavour, Kunj carried her over to the bed, and put her down gently. He was about to walk over to his side, when she surprised him by pulling him with such force that she had him over her.
“Uff my tigress! Don’t blame me for the love bites you’ll wake up with tomorrow!” Kunj spoke, winking at her, while she blushed. He then turned out the lights.

Whew!! That’s it for now guys.
I don’t know how this episode did.
I know it’s a golden jubilee, and it’s extremely special for me, so I want to give you all loads of love and hugs for being so supportive and understanding throughout, encouraging me equally through the ups and downs of the plot. At this juncture, there’s something really important that I need to tell you guys, and please, do pick one of the options, and let me know. So here goes. Some of you already know, but for those who don’t, I’m in 12th grade now, and trust me, there’s huge study pressure. My exams shall begin on the 1st of March, and all the competitive exams and stuff will be wrapped up by around 20th of April… So that means, that I won’t be available for that almost two months span of time. You have two options:
1. I’ll finish this story before leaving, which means it’ll have maximum of 3-4 more episodes, and when I return, I’ll begin a new one
2. I’ll leave the plot where it will have reached when I leave, and continue when I return, but I don’t know of this will be preferable since the gap is really long for you all to remember the story…

There’s yet another very important thing I need to say here. And that is the thanksgiving. All of your love has kept me going, and encouraged me to continue this story when even I had given up on the plot, and it’s only because of each one of you out there that this story is all that it is today… Trust me, even the dislikes mean a lot, and the likes and comments and priceless!!
