A game of soccer (or football whichever name u guys use) was going one. There are ten seconds left in the game and the score is tied.
Crowd- 10….9……8…..7…..6…..5…..4…..3…..2…..
Suddenly someone scores.
Crowd- 1!!!!!
Host- We have won once again. Once again our team captain has proven himself and brought another victory home.
The team members pick up the captain and the crowd starts cheering.
Crowd- KUNJ! KUNJ! KUNJ! KUNJ!
Kunj Sarna is the captain of the college soccer team. He has never lost a game. Once again he has brought his team to victory. After the game, Kunj and his friends were walking in the hallway. Suddenly the principle calls him.
Principle- Kunj please see me in my office.
Kunj- But sir I was just going to celebrate with my team.
Principle- Kunj NOW!
Kunj follows the principle to the office.
Principle- Kunj please take a seat.
Kunj sits down.
Principle- Kunj, have u seen ur last report card? U are failing ur science class. U do know the rules in this college right? We had an agreement that I would give u a scholarship to this prestigious college because u are an excellent athlete only if u managed to pass every class.
Kunj- Yes sir I remember.
Principle- Kunj u have to be more serious and if u can’t then I’m sorry, this college is not for u.
Kunj- No sir please give me one more chance.
Principle- Ok u have only one chance. If u can pass ur science finals then I will let u play with the team again. Until then, u are banned from playing in any matches.
Kunj leaves the office disheartened. He goes to his next class, which is his science class. The professor was giving out the results for their last test.
Professor- Oh Kunj u decided to show up.
Kunj- Sorry sir I had a soccer tournament.
Principle- Well soccer doesn’t seem to help u pass this class. U have failed once again on ur test.
Kunj takes his test and sits down.
Kunj thinks- What should I do if science is not my subject? Babaji please help me pass my final.
Professor- Class please learn from this student. She has been the topper of this class the whole year. Congratulations Twinkle, u have once again received a prefect score.
The girl next to Kunj stand up and takes her test. Kunj looks at her.
Kunj thinks- Twinkle has always been the class topper. I never noticed her before. I never noticed how innocent and beautiful she looked.
Twinkle was the prettiest girl in school but no boy was after her because she was very innocent and quiet. Everybody knew that.
Professor- Ok class remember next week is your finals so study hard as this will be your final grade.
Everyone leaves the class. Twinkle packs her books and starts to leave. Kunj runs after her.
Kunj- Twinkle!
Twinkle stops and turns around.
Kunj- Twinkle I needed some help from u.
Twinkle- Kunj how can I help u. U are the captain of the soccer team and u r also very handsome. Every girl is after u. How can I help u?
Kunj- Yea but u r also the prettiest girl in school….
Kunj stops talking and Twinkle looks around awkwardly.
Kunj- Actually the principle told me that if I don’t pass this class then I won’t be able to play. So I came for ur help.
Twinkle- Which subject?
Kunj- Chemistry.
Twinkle- Oh that’s my favorite subject. Ok I will help u but I have three rules.
Kunj- What?
Twinkle- My first rule is that u have to come to my house I won’t come to yours.
Kunj laughs.
Twinkle- Y are u laughing?
Kunj- Oh sorry nothing. U can trust me.
Twinkle- Ok my second rule is that u won’t try to cheat and will try ur best.
Kunj- Ok done.
Twinkle- And my third rule is…….
Kunj- What tell me.
Twinkle- U can’t fall in love with me.
Kunj looks on confused then starts laughing.
Kunj- Twinkle u r really funny. How can I fall in love with u?
Twinkle- I’m serious Kunj.
Kunj- Ok ok I agree to ur rules. Now will u help me?
Twinkle- Ok come to my house tomorrow.
She leaves.
The Next Day……
Kunj rings the doorbell at Twinkle’s house. Leela opens the door.
Kunj- Namaste aunty. Is Twinkle home?
Leela- Yes she is but u…..
Twinkle- Oh Kunj come inside. Actually ma I’m tutoring Kunj in chemistry.
Leela- Oh ok come inside Kunj puttar.
Twinkle- Ok ma we will be upstairs.
Leela- I’ll bring snacks for u two.
Twinj go upstairs to Twinkle’s room.
Twinkle- Ok Kunj did u bring ur chemistry book?
Kunj- Ohhhhh……
Twinkle- U forgot?
Kunj makes a baby face.
Twinkle- Kunj! Rule #2 u have to be serious.
Kunj- Ok sorry I will bing it tomorrow.
Twinkle- Ok u can share my book come.
They sit on the floor. To look at the same book they move closer until they hit their heads against each other. They share an eye lock. (Sajna ve plays).
Kunj- Sorry.
Twinkle- Its ok. Now tell me what is the pH level of hydrogen-chloride?
Kunj looks at her blankly.
Twinkle- Kunj! Have u been listening at all?
Twinkle- Ok then tell me do same forces attract or opposite forces attract?
Kunj gives another blank stare.
Twinkle- Ok think of it this way. When u are playing soccer and there are two teams do the same team members compete with each other or opposite teams compete.
Kunj- Opposite forces attract.
Twinkle- Exactly!
Kunj- Wow Twinkle u are amazing. U are teaching me chemistry through something I know, soccer.
Kunj lifts his hand for a high five and Twinkle goes to give him one but suddenly trips over the rug and falls on Kunj. They are on the floor and Twinkle is on top of Kunj. Leela comes there and knocks on the door. Twinj stand up and compose themselves.
Leela- I brought coffee for u guys.
Twinj drink the coffee and Kunj leaves.
Leela- Twinkle have u thought about what u are doing? Is this right? What if u develop feelings for him?
Twinkle- Ma I already developed feeling for him. But don’t worry I made sure that he won’t fall in love with me.
Kunj comes to Twinkle’s house everyday for the rest of the week. A week later Kunj and Twinkle has their finals. A few days later the professor gives out the result.
Professor- As usual Twinkle, u have gotten a perfect score. Excellent work my child.
Kunj smiles at Twinkle. Twinkle gives a thumbs up to Twinkle.
Professor- Kunj……
Kunj closes his eyes.
Professor- I don’t know how this miracle has happened but u have scored a 98%. U have topped second in this class.
Kunj opens his eyes and is extremely happy. He jumps in the air and Twinkle smiles watching him. The class ends and Twinkle leaves. Kunj catches up to her.
Kunj- Twinkle wait!
Twinkle stops.
Kunj- Twinkle thank u so much. If it weren’t for u, none of this wouldn’t have happened.
Twinkle- Don’t thank me Kunj. This was all ur hard work.
Kunj- No Twinkle. U became my motivation, my strength. I LOVE YOU TWINKLE!
Kunj hugs Twinkle and Twinkle looks on shocked. Twinkle pushes him off.
Twinkle- Kunj u broke my rule.
Kunj- Twinkle y do u care about that silly rule? Yes I broke it but I had to. I truly love u Twinkle.
Twinkle- But u can’t love me Kunj.
Kunj- Y not Twinkle?
Twinkle- U just can’t. Nobody can.
Kunj- Y not dammit!!!
Twinkle- BECAUSE I HAVE LEUKEMIA!!! I’m at the last stage of cancer.
Twinkle falls to the ground and cries. Kunj is stunned. Twinkle runs away. Kunj remembers her words and breaks down.
A few days later it is Twinkle’s birthday. Kunj rings the doorbell of Twinkle’s house. Leela opens it.
Leela- Oh Kunj puttar come in.
Twinkle looks at him surprised. Kunj goes and hugs Twinkle.
Kunj- Happy Birthday Twinkle.
Twinkle is still surprised.
Kunj- Don’t be too surprised. U have to save that energy for our wedding tomorrow.
Twinkle- WHAT!
Leela- Ha Twinkle. Kunj came with his family and asked for ur hand. They agreed with this marriage so I also agreed.
Twinkle tears up in happiness and hugs Kunj.
Twinkle- Thank you!
Kunj- Ok ok come see what present I got u.
He gives her a box. Twinkle opens it.
Twinkle- A telescope!
They go to the balcony. Kunj sets up the telescope and Twinkle looks at the stars. Kunj lays down and Twinkle lays next to him with her head on Kunj’s chest. Kunj wraps his arm around Twinkle.
Twinkle- Kunj.
Kunj- Hmm.
Twinkle- When I leave and u will miss me then just look for the brightest star in the sky. That will be me.
Kunj- Twinkle I will look at the stars but u will be with me like this.
Twinkle smiles- I love you Kunj.
Kunj- I love u too.
Twinkle spends her most special birthday looking at the stars with Kunj.
The next day Twinj get married. It is now their first night and Twinkle waits on the bed for Kunj. Kunj comes there.
Twinkle- Thank u Kunj for completing my last wish.
Kunj- No thank u Twinkle……for completing my life.
Twinj consummate their marriage.

A 6 year old girl closes Kunj’s diary and drops it on the floor. Kunj comes there.
Kunj- Twinkle did u forget it’s ur mumma’s birthday? I set up the telescope. We have to go look at the stars and wish her happy birthday.
Twinkle- Papa, mumma was very strong right? U loved her alot?
Kunj tears up- Yes she was the strongest girl ever. And I still love her. Now come on or mumma will get mad.
He picks up Twinkle. Then he sees the diary on the floor and smiles. He carries Twinkle to the balcony under the stars. Kunj and his little Twinkle lay down and look at the stars.
Kunj- Happy Birthday Twinkle. I love you.
Twinkle- Happy Birthday mumma! I love you.
