CHAPTER- 40 – Poor innocent Abhai..

TWINKLE (POV)

“Never in my life have I ever came across such stubborn people like you both” Kunj’s mother crossed her arms glaring at both of us constantly and I lowered my head huffing.

“Apologize to each other right now” She ordered and I huffed crossing my arms. The rest of the idiots snickered looking at us amused.

After catching up to Kunj and pouring the whole ketchup bottle on his head – due to which I’m totally satisfied- Kunj ran after me but that pansy ass twisted his ankle.

Worse. Kunj’s mother was going through the same street and saw her son whining like a child about how much his ankle hurt.

“What’s so funny” Kunj snapped me out of my thoughts and I shook my head chuckling , “Nothing. Just remembering the time you twisted your ankle and cried like a baby”

He glared at me before turning his attention to his mother , “Mom! Look at Twinkle. She’s bullying me” he childishly whined and I raised my hands in surrender , “I didn’t”

“Kunj stop whining like a child” she warned and I smirked at him , “And Twinkle stop bullying Kunj”

Kunj laughed and I looked down embarrassed , “Aww! Don’t be embarrassed , sweetheart”

I swatted his hand away and purposely twisted his ankle and he cried out loud but I ran away from the Kitchen towards the hall.

“I’m done with this shit” I grumbled throwing the file away and Natasha looked up at me from painting her nails frowning.

“Why are you so tensed?”

“I don’t know , really. Kunj’s parents will be here by tonight for Yuvi’s and Maira’s marriage. And dad’s really worked up about this whole marriage thing with Abhai”

She nodded pursing her lips in a thin line , “I think you just relax and just go-“

“Stop with your go with the flow thing” I warned and she chuckled nodding slightly.

“You lied to me” Dad scolded and I looked the other way sighing out loud. “And you think I had a choice?” I muttered back stirring my coffee slowly.

“Of course you had a choice” he spoke again and I looked at him frowning , “You could have told me the truth” he speaks shrugging and went back to cutting the fruits for his fruit salad.

“Just let it go , Dad” Maira whispered from far behind a corner because she was too scared to be an inch closer to dad.

“Today was..” Dad started again for the umpteenth time.

“Horrendous! I know”

A few hours ago….

“I’m really glad everything is going on smoothly” Natasha smiles checking on the coffee for Kunj’s parents and I nodded taking a deep breath.

Yuvi along with Mahi and Kunj’s parents came this afternoon for Maira’s and Yuvi’s marriage.

Thankfully , everything went good with the gang and me trying out best not to let mine and Kunj’s topic come in between.

I opened my phone to check for any messages and had one from Kunj.

‘Showtime , babe.’ – 4:47 Pm

I looked on at the time and the message was sent just 3 minutes ago.

“Kunj says Showtime..” I started but stopped immediately when I heard Mahi rushing towards us in the kicthen , “Bhai.is.here”

I groaned leaning onto the kitchen counter, “What now?”

“I don’t know” Natasha mumbled walking out with the coffee tray. I followed glaring at nowhere.

“Glad I’m able to meet you again , Mr.Sarna” Kunj smiles genuinely and Dad stood up boggled shaking his hand his eyes roaming around until they finally landed on me.

“Sorry for the delay. I told mom and dad not to talk about mine and Twinkle’s marriage until I come” Kunj smiles at me taking a seat opposite to him.

“Dad! I know.. I mean.. I can explain” I rambled and he shot me a stern look before turning his attention back to Kunj’s parents.

“Mr.Sarna , I’m aware of everything that happened in the past” Kunj’s mother sighed and I uneasily shifted on my spot , “But the misunderstandings between Kunj and Twinkle has ended”

“I know we both weren’t on good terms since the beginning,” Kunj spoke up , “And I apologise for what I did- the punch” He speaks without stammering and quickly looked at me.

“And of course for breaking your daughters heart over and over” He stood up making his way towards me and I looked on nervously , “But I can promise you that you wouldn’t find another person who would love her as much I do”

“But what if I already found that person” Dad retorted and Kunj let out a small chuckle turning around to face Dad , “If you are speaking about Abhai..”

“Kunj!” I warned and he tilted his head smirking at me , “Yes , love?”

This idiot got to knew yesterday that Abhai was gay.

I rolled my eyes walking towards Dad , “I’m sorry , Dad. I don’t know how But me and Kunj patched up.

Things just got cleared and we both realized no one was at fault that night. Yes , these two years a part of me was sure that what happened two years back , Kunj wasn’t at fault.

But I was so caught up with every truth and lies coming in front me , I couldn’t think straight” I looked down with the tears threatening to spill.

“Thank God! You realized that Kunj wasn’t at fault” dad sighed and I looked up puzzled. “Wh-what..didn’t you..hated Kunj?”

“Of course , not” Dad chuckled walking towards Kunj and patted his back , “I already forgave him for that punch. And as for this whole two years back thing. It wasn’t in his hands. But at that moment I had to be with my daughter”

“Hey hey! Could we just drop this thing and be happy that everything is normal now?” Mahi questions grinning and Dad nodded smiling.

“We have to talk- about Abhai” Dad stepped closer whispering at me and I shut my eyes groaning mentally.

How could I forget?

“So when to start the preparations?” Dad speaks cheerfully.

Back to present

Basically , Dad was furious about how I just used Abhai for making Kunj jealous and the rest.

The day went really well with Dad and Kunj’s parents discussing about the marriages and all. But yes dad would called the day horrendous.

Why?

Because I used -poor innocent Abhai- for my plan.

Only if you knew , Dad. Only if you knew.

“And poor innocent Abhai..” he started again stirring his fruit salad and I laughed whilst he shot me a glare.

“What’s up!” I look up to see Abhai standing there grinning widely and I sighed dramatically. “Finallyyyy! Now please convince dad that you were in the plan too”

Maira ushers him to go on and Abhai looked on boggled. “What plan?” he faked and I glared him.

“See?” Dad cried out smirking , “He isn’t. You evil girls trapped this innocent child in your evil plan”

I smacked my forehead and Natasha stood up with two eggs in her hands , “If you won’t tell the truth , then these eggs and your face would make a nice combo” She smirked and Abhai frowned.

“SPILL!” Me , Maira and Natasha screamed laughing and he nodded covering his ears.

“Okayyy. I was with them and literally started the whole plan” I clapped laughing lightly and Dad slumped back in his chair.

“For once , I thought I would be right” he grumbled and I chuckled patting dad’s hair. “You were right , once”

“When?” he asked curiously and I smirked , “When you called Kunj an a*sh*le” I shouted running out of the Kitchen and dad laughed but I could hear his scolding , “Language!”

I stopped dead on my tracks in my room hearing the taps on the balcony door and quickly grabbed my badminton racket.

I slowly moved towards the balcony door and in a rush opened it slamming the racket on whoever it was.

I smacked it again but stopped when I heard a familiar cry.

“Yuvi?” I question finally looking down and an unplanned laugh escaped my mouth. “What the hell are you doing here?” I question and he stood up rubbing his arm and head.

“Baking a cake. Care to join?” he faked smiled and I chuckled. “I thought it was Maira’s bedroom” he grumbled his eyes searching another balcony.

“Sorry” I sheepishly admitted , “But why are you sneaking in? It’s 3 am” I looked at him pointedly and he smirked , “I have a really interesting love life unlike yours”

I gasped hitting him on his arm and he cried out rushing towards the end of the balcony. “Hope you die!” I showed him the finger and he laughed going down with the help of the ladder.

God knows where he got it from.

I stepped back into my room and…

“My bubble gums” I cried out aiming the racket.
