Udit Shukla Draws Parallels Between His ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ Villainous Role and a Chameleon’s Adaptability

In a recent interview, television actor Udit Shukla, currently portraying the character of Kiran Sawant, a villain in the popular TV series ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin,’ discusses his role as one that embodies pure evil, likening it to the adaptability of a chameleon. Udit, who thoroughly enjoys playing negative characters, finds his role in the show to be layered and challenging, given the unpredictability and mischief his character Kiran can unleash.

Expressing his enthusiasm for portraying negative roles, Udit shares, “I’ve always loved essaying negative roles, having played an antagonist in previous shows. However, this time, my role is pure evil. It’s a layered and challenging character as Kiran is highly unpredictable and capable of any mischief. I find joy in the suspense surrounding my character’s actions.”

Drawing an intriguing parallel, Udit compares his character to a chameleon, stating, “In the story, my role is very prominent; he owns the scene whenever he is in the frame. No one is sure about his whereabouts and plans. He is actually just like a chameleon who changes according to his own convenience.”

Udit Shukla, previously seen in TV shows like ‘Rang Jaun Tere Rang Mein,’ ‘Dhhai Kilo Prem,’ and ‘Rangrasiya,’ considers ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ as a turning point in his career. Reflecting on his journey, he shares, “I started my acting career in 2013 with the TV show ‘Suvreen Guggal’ and later acted in many other shows. After 10 years of experience and a learning phase, this year has been a breakthrough with ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin,’ marking a turning point in my career.”

Expressing gratitude, Udit says, “I’m thankful to the almighty for the blessings and grateful to the makers for giving me this opportunity. The show is a hit and one among the most loved family dramas on television screens.”

‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ is a loose adaptation of the Bengali series ‘Kusum Dola’ and features Ayesha Singh, Neil Bhatt, and Aishwarya Sharma Bhatt in its cast.
