Chapter 17
Hello my lovely readers!!! How are you? Hope everyone is good ??? but I’m not good. Yesterday afternoon (18th) I tripped and fell hard, injuring my face and a leg ??? very painful!!! My mom scolded me too ???. Now I can’t even walk properly ???. That incident made me realize one thing though ???. In real life, when you’re gonna fall no one’s there to catch you. You’re gonna fall and get yourself hurt ???. All of us should keep that in our minds ???.
Anyway, enough about my sad life, I want to thank Divi and Puja for coming forward and commenting on the previous part of this ff. It’s really wonderful to see new silent readers comments ???. And I didn’t forget others. Thank you so much for your support giving likes/dislikes, but it’d be really great if you can say why you dislike it ???.
All who gave wonderful comments for the last part, thank you so much ???. Two of my little sissys (Priyu and Riya) want to make me their teacher ???. No probs!! I’ll be your writing guru, but it’ll cost you a lot ???.

Then Sanchi started to struggle with the seatbelt. ???
“Kya hua?” – Kabir
“Don’t know, it seems to be stuck!” Sanchi said pulling the seatbelt.
“Here, let me…” He leaned to help her, but after he adjust the belt, he got lost in her eyes. Their faces were centimetres apart. If one of them move, ??? you know na what’ll happen ???.
Kabir was unconsciously, getting more closer, but before something happen, Sanchi’s phone made a sound alerting a message. Kabir quickly moved back to his seat.
Sanchi checked her phone and saw a message from Maya. She opened it curiously with a frown.
“I won’t let you win!!” It said.
Why did she sent a message like that? Well here’s what happened. ??? Our Maya had turned back to see Kabir for one last time tonight, but what she saw was…… ??? you know what she saw ??? yep you guessed it right!!! She saw Kabir and Sanchi so close and Kabir was about to kiss her!!! (seriously, I’m blushing ???)
Sanchi typed a reply. “Too bad sweetie, I already won ?” pressing the send button, she looked out of the window and smirked ???.
Maya didn’t understand what her reply meant. **I just stopped him from getting close to her, so how did she won?** then it hit her. ” she used the same seatbelt trick to get his attention!! That’s how she won!! No Sanchi Mishra, no!! I won’t let you win!!” She stomped on her foot angrily ???.

Days pass normally. Hospital isn’t busy much these days. Interns are studying like crazy ??? you can see them everywhere in the hospital, with a coffee mug in their hands ???.
While the interns are busy with studies, our senior doctors are chilling in the cafeteria on their break time. Those senior doctors are Sanchi, Pragya, Isha, Veer & Riya.
“Guys, it’s getting bored these days. Any plans?” Riya asked casually.
“Shopping!!!” Isha said at once.
“Yaar, you don’t have anything else in your life except shopping!! ??? You even forget me ???” Veer started to whine.
“Awwww ??? Poor you!!” – Sanchi
“Haa yaar! I too feel pity on you my dear nalayak ???!” – Pragya
Both Pragya and Sanchi made a sad face ??? and then started to laugh ???.
“That’s not true Veer, there are more things in my life. In fact I……… ( Isha halted her words looking at the cafeteria door ) Why does my hottie is coming here with another handsome guy?” She asked curiously.
“Dekha tum log ne!! Yaar I’m your husband for God’s sake!! At least now stop calling him hottie ???” Veer whined again.
Isha turned to him and touched his cheek gently. “Veer, tum mera pati ho. Aur hamesha aisa hi rahega. Lekin, Dr. Kabir mera hottie tha…. hai…. aur hamesha hottie hi rahega!!!” She explained kindly making Veer frown ???.
Others burst in to laughter loudly ???.
Then Kabir enter with another guy and come to their table.
“Kya yaar Veer, what are you doing in the middle of 4 ladies?” Kabir asked jokingly.
Veer grinned broadly ???. “This is the difference between you and me, Bhai!! When girls come after you, you don’t even notice them. But when girls come after me ???, I’m just taking full advantage of it. Just like now ???”
All girls looked at him in disbelief ???. Pragya hit his head hard.
“Come home, I’ll make sure you enjoy all situations ???” Isha whispered to him evilly.
Sanchi who heard this laughed loudly “ha ha ha ???” she realised what she did and apologized. “I’m sorry! Why you came here suddenly, Kabir?”
Kabir smiled seeing her ???. “Yeah, I have to introduce someone to you guys. This, is Dr. Karan Singhania. Dr. Singhania’s son. He came back from Australia. He will be working with us from now on” he introduced the new guy.
(This new guy Karan Singhania will be Piyush Sahadev from Devanshi ?)
“Hi ??? I’m Isha Malhotra!!” Isha introduced herself first. Karan came forward and accepted her hand in a handshake.
“Nice to meet you, Dr. Isha. You really should’ve gone for modelling ???” Karan said flirtily.
Isha blushed making Veer angry ???.
Veer came next and said, “Veer Malhotra, Dr. Isha’s husband!!”
Karan got shock. “Oh! So she’s married ??? sorry yaar!”
Then Pragya and Riya introduced themselves too.
Finally came Sanchi’s turn. Karan stood in front of her directly.
“You must be Dr. Sanchi, right?” He asked.
Everyone wondered how he knew her. Sanchi decided to voice the question in everyone’s minds. “How did you-”
“How do I know? Dad always says there’s a young and beautiful lady doctor, who reached in to the heights of her career with her amazing talent ???. And just by looking at you, I realised it’s you ???” he answered her.
Kabir looked at him questionably.
“I don’t think I deserve the compliment you gave me, but thank you. It’s a pleasure to meet you” Sanchi answered with a simple smile.
“Wow you’re so humble!! I’m impressed. By the way, I want to ask you something if you don’t mind” he asked.
Sanchi just nodded her head.
“Are you married too?” He asked.
This made Kabir glare at him ???.
“Dr. Karan it’s-” Sanchi was about to answer but Veer cut her off seeing Kabir’s expression.
“NO!! Not at all!! ??? Sanchi is single and…… (he saw Kabir glaring at him, he didn’t mind that. But when he saw, Sanchi too, glaring at him, he got scared a little ???) ……and NOT ready to mingle ???”
“Why not?” – Karan
“Dr. Karan, if you’re done with interfering in my personal life, you should go and see your cabin” Sanchi said putting an end to the conversation.
“I’m sorry if I asked too much. Can you help me to find my cabin?” He asked sweetly.
“No. I’m busy” with that she went out of the cafeteria.
Riya offered to help Dr. Karan. Pragya and Isha too went for their duties. Only Veer and Kabir were left.
Veer came and patted on Kabir’s shoulder. “You got tough competition bhai!! That guy’s not gonna let you take the girl that easily ???. He’s gonna try hard to win Sanchi’s heart. ??? I think that’s what they call love at first sight ???”
Kabir glared at him more ???.
“Don’t look at me!! Do something or you’ll lose her again!!” Veer disappeared.
“Will it really happen? Would Sanchi go away from me again? No I won’t let him take her away from me!!!” He told himself.
……….few days later……….
Maya was appointed as the head intern. Hey!!! Don’t look at me like that!!! She maybe trying to snatch Kabir from Sanchi, but she’s an amazing student!! She’s the best of current interns batch!!
As the head intern, she gets more time to spend with Kabir. (On medical issues ???) But never got a chance to tell him how she feel. Any normal girl would be afraid to confess to their senior, but Maya isn’t like a normal girl. She is used to get what she wants. She could directly tell him but she remembers Sanchi’s challenge very well. She wanted to prove Sanchi, that Kabir loves HER and not Sanchi.
So…… to prove this, today she made another plan. Wanna know what? Well just wait and watch!! (actually…. read ???)
Maya is hiding in a corner, waiting for Kabir to come. Kabir was coming from the other side while doing something with his phone. She came out of her hiding place and collided with Kabir. She was about to fall and Kabir caught her.
Just as he caught her, Sanchi and Riya came from another side and saw them. Maya was looking at Kabir romantically ??? while Kabir was trying to figure out what the hell just happened ???.
Sanchi looked hurt ???.
Kabir realised whats happening and immediately let go of Maya. And what happened? ??? She fell to the ground ???.
“OUCH!!!” Maya yelled.
“I’m sorry” apologized Kabir.
She got her leg twisted. Unable to stand up, she looked up at Kabir, trying to get this situation to her advantage ???.
“I think my leg is twisted, Dr. Kabir! Can you help me?” She asked acting cute.
Kabir crouched down in front of her and examined her foot. Her leg is swelling.
“Yeah, you’re not gonna be able to walk properly until the swelling goes down” – Kabir
Maya smirked at Sanchi evilly ???. **Now he will carry me in his arms ??? I told you Dr. Sanchi, not to mess with me** she thought.
“Ward boy!! Get a stretcher for Dr. Maya!” Came Kabir’s voice, disturbing Maya’s dreamworld.
“A stretcher? For what Dr. Kabir?” She asked confusedly.
“For you, what else? I can’t let you walk with this condition” he said plainly.
Hearing this, Sanchi and Riya was trying their best to stop laughter ???.
“Riya, you stay here and watch Maya’s reaction after I did this” Sanchi whispered to Riya
“Do what Sanchi?” Asked a confused Riya.
“Just watch! If you can, take a photo of her!! Ok? I’m going!!” Sanchi whispered back and went forward.
“Don’t know what she’s trying to do! Anyway, I’ll just video it!!” Riya got her phone.
Maya was still on the floor waiting for her stretcher to come. Kabir was standing near her. Sanchi was walking towards them, talking.
“Oh dear!! Maya? What happened to you? Are you alri-” she couldn’t complete her sentence coz she tripped.
She was about to fall but a strong pair of arms stopped her fall. No point of guessing ??? it’s definitely Kabir.
He was holding her by her waist and she was hanging on to his shoulder. (Well that is really beautiful if you can imagine them ???) Everyone around there stopped their work to see this beautiful scene.
And the couple, who’s getting all the attention from the onlookers, are lost in their own world. After what seemed like forever…. (actually a minute ???) they came to their senses and Kabir made Sanchi stand. But the thing is…. She can’t stand. She was about to fall again and he caught her again ???.
Maya was fuming seeing all these (still on the floor ???).
“Kya hua?” Kabir asked concernedly.
“Don’t know…. I think my leg is sprained..!!” She said with a painful expression.
What Kabir did next made Maya’s eyes bulge out of sockets!!!
What did he do? Yep you got it right!! He instantly, lift her in his arms.
“Kabir!! I can manage!! Put me down!!” Sanchi said frantically.
“Chup!! How can you walk if your leg is sprained? Ab chup chaap mere saath aao!” He said sternly and lift her in to his arms more firmly, making Sanchi wrap her arms around his neck and hold tightly ???.
Just then two ward boys came with a stretcher for Maya.
“Take Dr. Maya to the ward!” Kabir instructed them and carried Sanchi down the stairs. As they were going, Sanchi looked back and winked at Maya, while she was taken away on a stretcher ???.
Maya was looking like a volcano ???. **THIS WAS HER ACTING!! HOW CAN DR. KABIR NOT SEE THAT?? SHE’S A LIRE!!! DAMN IT!!**
All the while Sanchi places her head on Kabir’s shoulder, making herself more comfortable. A wonderful smile made its way to his face when she did that ???.
