Upcoming tv show ‘Baal Shiv’ delayed due to a copyright issues

The mythological shows are in trend and are prevalent on Indian TV. Amidst all the love and fan following the mythological shows are facing new challenges. There have already been multiple versions of all the major mythological dramas. The same stories are though being attempted with fresher concepts. One such attempt is the show Baal Shiv which is based on the childhood stories of Lord Shiva.

While actors like Pallavi Pradhan, Mouli Ganguly, and more have already finalized to essay pivotal roles, the launch date of the show has now been pushed ahead due to an apparent copyright infringement.

Mythologist Chotenlal Saini has sought an injunction order in the Bombay High Court to restrain the channel from the release of the show. The writer claims to be the first to conceptualize the idea of Baal Shiv as a serial. The Bombay High Court has however allowed the channel to continue the promo of the upcoming. The show is now expected to be launched on September 15.

The channel’s spokesperson commented on the issue and said, ” Due to pending legal proceedings in the Hon’ble Bombay High Court, we have decided to re-schedule the launch of Baal Shiv, without prejudice to our legal rights. Since the matter is sub-judice we would not like to comment further.”
