Vaidehi Nair on juggling between studies and acting in ‘Shiv Shakti Tap Tyaag Tandav’
Vaidehi Nair, known for her portrayal of Rohini in the mythological show Shiv Shakti Tap Tyaag Tandav, is currently faced with the challenge of juggling her studies and her acting commitments. Despite the crucial year of board exams, Vaidehi ensures that she doesn’t miss her important lectures, traveling for four hours to and from the set in Umbergaon.
In a recent interview, she talked about it and acknowledged the difficulties but expressed gratitude for her mother’s unwavering support. Her mother, who is a therapist by profession, has dedicated her time to assisting Vaidehi with her studies, making notes, and explaining concepts. She also plans Vaidehi’s study schedule during her shoots. Additionally, Vaidehi receives support from her friends, who send her notes and updates from lectures. Despite the challenges, Vaidehi scored well in her class XI exams and is now preparing for her XIIth board exams.
Being in a different city for shooting presents its own challenges in keeping up with studies. Vaidehi shared that she travels nearly four hours to attend her lectures and then returns to Umbergaon. However, with her mother’s support and guidance, she has been able to manage her studies. Her mother helps her with notes and provides constant guidance. With encouragement and divine grace, Vaidehi has been able to navigate through this demanding schedule.
Regarding her role in Shiv Shakti, Vaidehi plays the character of Rohini, one of the Nakshatras and the beloved wife of Chandra Dev. In Hindu mythology, Rohini is the daughter of Daksha and the sister of 26 other Nakshatras. Vaidehi’s track in the show revolves around Rohini assisting Sati in meeting Shiv and devising plans to sneak her out of the palace. It is an exciting storyline that adds depth to her character.
Being a part of a mythological show has been a significant highlight for Vaidehi as an artist. She emphasized the attention to detail that goes into the look of her character.
