The various characters of Ishqbaaaz (Analysis series) Shot 1- The murder of Pinky’s character

ANALYSIS SHOT 1- THE MURDER OF PINKY’S CHARACTER:

Hello friends, it has been a long while since I wrote an analysis, but now seeing the air and aura changing dramatically I feel compelled to write something.

We all have seen the various characters of Ishqbaaz. But as am an avid follower and a die hard fan of ShivIka, I kept a keen and observing eye over Pinky and Shakti as well. Shakti’s character never had the potential of doing something big, but Pinky’s character could easily be made or killed. And the way every character has changed, it is a rational output that everyone had a valid reason for changing. Shivaay changed from the arrogant and haughty Businessman, to a caring and loving gentleman due to Annika’s entry. Omkara turned insensitive, because of Svetlana’s mischievous plans. Little has changed in Rudy, but I see a bit of seriousness developing in him. The only character that has needlessly and illogically changed is of Pinky. I don’t see any valid reason behind her change in attitude. Further the way she had been portrayed in the old episodes, her change towards Shivaay is very unnatural. I think this can happen only in a drama, not in real life. And Ishqbaaz was realistic at one point of time, but that time, has gone.

In the first episodes, Pinky was seen as a woman, for whom her son was her world, and the only means to acquire the Oberoi wealth. And in the succeeding episodes, she had been shown as a loving mother, who cared and loved her son the most. Her behaviour towards Shivaay was the best compared to any other family member. The episode in which Shivaay’s chopper gets sabotaged, and he gets barely saved due to hilarious notes of Annika, is where I have seen the love she holds for Shivaay.

Then in the next group of episodes, Pinky is seen to hold Shivaay’s business interests as the top most priority, and she keeps on pampering Shivaay. Recently when he gets hit by a bullet while saving Annika, she was seen going mad in grief. All this made me believe she loved Shivaay as her own son.

And now, she’s the main villain in her son’s life. The degree of change is sheer idiotic, and how much evil she’s being is further a bad sign. When the character of Tej was introduced as a villainous one, I had hopes that this show would be different, having a villain instead of a vamp. But the recent episodes has destroyed the novelty of Ishqbaaaz, and it’s again a Saas-Bahu age old feud.

It is a common belief that if you keep a pet with you for few days, it becomes the world to you. But in this case, it’s a human, whom you have nurtured and cared for since his birth. Then how can at one go, the person just turn antagonistic towards the boy she’s kept as her own? It is emotionally as well as logically idiotic, and this has turned the whole story, into a mindless blabber.

So I come to this conclusion, that Pinky’s character has been brutally murdered and buried in the illogical plot of the story. They have misused many characters, and now Pinky has been added in that list as a newcomer.

All these are my views, I never mean to hurt, but I am unapologetic for expressing my views.

I’d add up to the series of analyses called “The various characters of Ishqbaaaz” as soon as I find a food for thought.

Bye,
AditiB.
