Actor Vijayendra Kumeria has accepted a challenge which no one saw coming. He is enacting a visually impaired photographer in a new show Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha. While it is challenging to become an ace photographer, in his TV show, Vijayendra is playing a visually impaired photograher. In an interview with a TOI, he was asked if it is possible for a visually impaired individual to become a photographer and he said, “When I was given the script initially, I had my doubts. But, then I researched and found out how there is an entire world out there for visually impaired photographers. In fact, I was reluctant earlier thinking when it takes ages for a person with eyes to become a photographer, how will a visually impaired person become a successful photographer. But, my research tells me that visually impaired photographers do exist and they can click pictures with their study of sounds and special gadgets provided to them. Then, I was convinced to play a visually impaired photographer in the show.”
Vijayendra also revealed his plans to become a director soon. He said, “I have acted in many interesting TV shows like Naagin 4, Udaan, Shashtri Sisters and Sufiyaana Pyaar Mera and someday I would like to direct a film or a web series. It is a long term goal and it is important to know the process of filmmaking. I like observing things and have learnt a lot in the past few years about the technical aspects of direction.”
Like every actor, Vijayendra is also active on social media and he feels that actors have a huge responsibility on social media platforms. He said, “It’s very important to put the right kind of content on your social media account. There is a reason why actors are called influencers and I feel one should influence in the right way.”
