Vikas Sethi’s Untimely Demise at 48: A Look Back at His TV Legacy and Film Journey

Renowned for his roles in iconic television shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kasautii Zindagii Kay, actor Vikas Sethi has tragically passed away at the age of 48. As per the reports, the actor suffered a fatal cardiac arrest while he was asleep. His sudden passing has left the entertainment industry and his fans in deep sorrow.

Vikas is survived by his wife, Jhanvi Sethi, and their twin sons. Although the family has not yet released an official statement, it has been reported that Jhanvi confirmed the heartbreaking news. She shared that Vikas peacefully passed away in his sleep, and tragically, did not wake up the next morning. The news has left many in shock, as his vibrant presence will be sorely missed.

Vikas gained popularity during the 2000s for his supporting roles in some of the most-watched daily soaps of the time. In addition to his television work, he showcased his dancing skills by participating in Nach Baliye Season 3 alongside his then-wife, Amita.

Sethi’s acting journey extended beyond the small screen. He made his film debut in 2003 with the controversial drama Oops!, where he portrayed a male stripper entangled in a forbidden love story. Though the film failed to make a mark at the box office, Vikas continued to pursue various acting roles.

One of his most memorable film appearances was in the Bollywood hit Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, where he played Robbie, the friend of Kareena Kapoor’s character. He also acted in the 2001 film Deewaanapan, sharing the screen with Arjun Rampal and Dia Mirza. More recently, in 2019, Vikas took on a prominent role in the Telugu blockbuster iSmart Shankar, further cementing his versatility as an actor.

The untimely loss of Vikas Sethi has undoubtedly left a void in the hearts of his fans and the television community, where his contributions will be fondly remembered.
